some people want it and also it can harm your mouth to have extreme cases of crooked teeth or something else.
Sometimes people need to get braces for their own benefit because some teeth can be too crowded or some other scenario causing a lot of pain so braces straighten them out so that we don’t have to get surgery. This is my current scenario I had a deep bite which would’ve caused many surgeries along with a lot of crowdness of my teeth so it isn’t always bad!
Just cause some will laugh at you doesn’t mean the rest of the world will. ❤️ y’all need to realize good people and bad people exist. Who cares what they think about you end of the day it doesn’t matter.
This is not true I have crooked teeth and a lot of people make fun of them. Even my family sometimes says that they look weird and I have ugly teeth. The really messed up part is "non-emergency cosmetic" procedures require the highest cost insurance with 1.5 to 2 yr wait times before insurance will kick in (so paying 16-20k before you're elligible), lots of limits on what they'll cover & what they won't so you're still coming out of pocket. Subsidies don't cover it & sliding scale programs won't touch extensive work. So if it's bad enough, you're looking at the equivalent to the cost of a luxury car in your mouth. Mine would be a minimum of $40-60k & the higher end is WITH insurance.

people always call me names like “bugs bunny” “chipmunk”, etc for having crooked teeth. This is the reality. People say these “nice” things on the internet, yet in reality, they continue to make comments. They have no idea how hard it is to get called these names, which is why I can’t wait to get braces. Gosh, we live in such a judgmental society, its like we can’t even go out without having someone making fun of you or making a comment about your appearance, which leads to insecurities. Like is appearance all that matters?
You literally don't understand even the basics of medicine, do you? This type of tooth is unhealthy. Yes, they are ugly. But most importantly - they are cause of poor speech, "lazy tongue" in my experience, bad flow of air and undevelopment (or over) of jaw - and causes over or under bite and other medical PROBLEMS/DISEASES. Stop making diseases ok.

i chose to get braces, my teeth were crooked and i had a big gap. even though i’ve grown up with my smile looking like that, i wanted it straight and didn’t want that huge gap in my mouth. 🤷🏾♀️

(One teeth is crooked but that's not so bad).Also my midline is off, but even all those people here with crooked teeth haven't that. I use to have very crooked teeth and a very large gap between my front teeth. I was very insecure about it and I couldn’t even chew properly because of how bad it was. I needed braces and i had them for 4 yrs. I took them off last year and now they’re looking like the “perfect look” and to be honest I don’t wanna call myself attractive but I do look much better now.

It's nice to say this to make us feel better however the truth is in real life a lot of people end up feeling very insecure of it and lose their confidence because of how people behave with them irl . Often times during a school dance or something they used to make me and some others stand back because of how "unattractive " We looked because of our bunny teeth with gaps . We also didnt laugh or smile properly for photos
I ended up getting braces and honestly I am very very grateful , my confidence went up after them and now I am extremely happy and I keep smiling and laughing openly ❤

I’ve had crooked ugly teeth until the age of 13, I had braces till 15. It’s one of the quickest fixes for crooked ugly teeth and you get use to it fast, plus they made me being able to learn how to burp on command in spite of it :)
