I've seen so many fruit washing shorts here lately and haven't trusted a single one. I trust this woman. She reminds me of some of the women who played a big part in raising me. Thank you.
Thank you for this! You know what is a effective in cleaning pesticides off of fruit/vegs ? A lil baking soda and water mix! Vinegar does work good in killing bacteria because of its acidity but if you have any concerns about pesticides just wanted to let you know! Knowledge is power after all. Wishing you the best!
Here’s another tip but before you put them in the water with the vinegar put them in a strainer and then put them in the water so that all the dirt comes off into the water not just sits on the fruit.
I do this with all my produce in my sink. After the berries dry if put in a closed jar & refrigerator, they keep even better. Thanks for sharing so our experience buys last longer/cleaned 👍❤️😊
Oh, no! What kind of berries did you use? Just curious because I've been doing this for a while not and that has never happened to me. I am so sorry, anak.

I am thankful for your comment, tcbowen12. Have a marvelous day. ☺
Great tip, that’s better than me just running them through the faucet. Lol I will do better. Now I know better. 😂 ❤🤗
Works even better with ice cold water from the fridge. Rejuvenation.
❤
Thank you! Now I'll never forget this.

Thank you so much, camila. I will definitely
give baking soda a try. I appreciate you sharing. 😊
I mix baking soda with salt
I never knew this. I always wash them under the faucet, thank you🫶🏻🥹
The more I learn...the more I'll share. I am so glad I taught you this. Have a lovely day☺
Thanks for another great idea!
Thank you!! And, you are adorable! 🥰
Thanks, Imma. I love to share with my Troupers. 🙂

Well is it?
Beautiful. Thank you!
Thanks Berta

The use of baking soda: is it necessary? Thanks 😊
I saw some people add baking soda as well
Does it taste like vinegar ?
I rinse the berries after this vinegar wash and NO, it doesn't taste like vinegar after the rinse. Hope that helps, Q.☺
Can I add wash them even if you grow your own. This is not for store bought only esp if you're growing outside.
Could this also be done with Apple cider vinegar since it's edible?

What about baking soda can you mix both or no
You can but it will cause a frizzy-reaction. It's all good though...more cleaning for our produce. Thanks. ☺
That’s fine. But your hair ❣️💋
Trying to figure out where the baking soda is. If you add baking soda, it’ll def be better than vinegar and water alone.
Thanks so much, Golden. I use that also.
Vinegar to kill bacteria.
Baking soda for non-organically-grown to get rid of pesticides.
Don't use both at the same time, they neutralize each other.
or you can just wash it with normal water for 30 second and than eat it....
Yep, that's fine too but I remove more dirt this way. I have just washed them for years and now I do this. Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂
I let let my berries sit for 15 minutes and they turned into mush

I recently got E coli because of some asparagus I ate 😔 horrible experience
Not sure what to say, H, except that was terrible and I am so sorry you had to experience such a thing. 😔
How do kill the ecoli? Is it killable
Won't that leave a nasty vinegar taste
Not sure if you're asking or stating a fact so I'll just say: this leaves no vinegar taste ☺
