My brother Robert tuned me on to Yellow Jackets back in circa 1970's. Never forgot a single rhythm or note. Geraldine is in my opinion one of YJ's best classics. This work is magical; full moments of utter-bliss, and instrumentation mastery. RIP Robert Smith.
A great version of one of their best. I love hearing Russ at the beginning of his solo. Searching, probing. And finally falling back on the blues, before launching into some fiery runs at the top of the head. It's great to hear them when they're imperfect and just letting the spirit take them!
Thanks for sharing this album...this piece compositionally was on another level. It will continue to intrigue future musos to come. Simply stunning. Mintzer, Ferrente, Haslip, Kennedy.. 1 music soul in 4 bodies... thank you for the music 💕
Not a cliché. Plain truth, many times. Music is there to lead and carry to and through various feelings and is there, being a gentle backup and helping you to get in touch with yourself. And all those precious people who have practiced their skills so that music can exist and come to life. So thankful for every and single one.
Great posting. One of my favorite Yellowjackets tunes. Many many thx.
Geraldine is their best tune. It is so poignant with very cool modulations. I could sit by the sea and listen to this forever.

Quizás uno de las mejores interpretaciones de Yellowjackets, un grupo con una trayectoria increíble y verlos en vivo un verdadero privilegio.

Smooth and peaceful.
This is my favorite version of the song. Period…
Marc Russo is brilliant, but Bob Mintzer simply owns this, all the way.
Just beautiful...
Perhaps it's a bit cliché to say that music can save a life, but this music certainly restored my sanity on more than one occasion.
mine too, i can fully relate.

The best album of YJ
Agreed
Beg to differ: "Dreamland", "Politics" or "Four Corners"
Como no toca Mark Russo aunque muy buena música, no es lo mismo....
