So far so good. Will say that Zander is using his bent-shaft paddle the wrong way. Will be more efficient if the blade bend and shaft arch are toward the bow.
like it with the music mate it is good to have a bit of a soundtrack to the adventure as you go along in my opinion another cracker of video cheers mate.
Keep it simple. Music still loud in places prefer to hear the birds and nature. Like I am really there.

@@ScottysGoneWalkaboutit's actually a legal thing. They can't be advertised, promoted or sold as cookies in Australia. They legally are biscuits not cookies and are protected by law as such.

Those prints would be from the wild dogs out there I’d say, heard some howling at each other from both sides of the gorge one night kinda spooky but sick to hear !

I had a red belly black snake go underwater on my dam. It was a full minute and 12ft away from where it went under when it surfaced again. There is a lot of thick weeds he was probably under. I'd never seen or heard of it before. Thanks for the trip mate. 👍🐕🤠

Enjoyed the video. Zander seems like a nice chap and independent. Glassy water and rocky hills, campfire at night...lovely. The kangaroo sandwich with all the toppings looked good, even tho I haven't come to terms with eating kangaroo. Here in the US we think of them as cute bouncy animals with babies in the pouch and you see them in the zoo. But if I ever visited Australia, I'd probably try it. Very nicely done video, thanks!

Definitely a few dingoes in the area. You will have more luck fishing with bait in the winter and in dirty water. Worms are my favourite after rain.

Try Tip Top Brand 9 grain original bread and make up a dough ball and press it firmly around your hook. You'll thank me. Its a game changer. I always catch fish and no one else does.

same trip i cancelled due to 300mls and floods LOL. looks great, anzac day was nice weather, bet you heard one of our planes fly over, did a track for anzac day. how many trips to lug all the gear down, wish the park area was open down further.
too many people have a hang up about roo and there is way too many myths about its suitability for consumption. Its a brilliant protien source. Its cheap and if the government would let us, its extremely easy to procure. (perhaps why we're not allowed...).

Nice one. Great spot. When the water is that dirty I find that some kind of vibrating lure will often produce results. Blades for example. Not very snag resistant though. Not at all really. lol. Spinnerbaits on the other hand, will create a little bit of vibration with the part that spins and they are VERY snag resistant. Sometimes though, the fish are simply NOT interested. When there has been a lot of rain, it may have dropped the water temperature too much and shut them down.
Great video as usual and thank you for posting, but what the hell is an ANZAC cookie? The diggers will be turning their graves.

Great spot, and I feel if roo was a cheaper meat more would eat it. I think it comes down to price not the thought of eating skippy. And I agree this is the best time to be camping, cooler nights but great sunny days
I actually think kangaroo is pretty cheap. I find it cheaper than normal beef steaks. You can get a pack of kangaroo steaks which usually has like 3 or 4 steaks for about $10. Yeah mate, you can't beat Autumn. Cool nights around the fire is where it's at.

Nah. Don’t think so mate. But if ya gunna sell them as Anzac biscuits, you are supposed to use the RSL approved recipe. That’s why they turn up as “cookies” on the supermarket shelves. But I agree. Cookies just sounds so wrong ay.

What length rod is best to use in a kayak or canoe in rivers like this? I was looking into something on the smaller end for easier use so it doesn’t get in the way as much.

I don't even think about going camping/kayaking in summer. You're spot on, autumn and winter are the best times of the year to head out.

nice spot. I lived on nothing but roo meat for my red meat for years. I swear by a fairly fast flame grill to medium rare with decent searing. Absolutely delicious. Those steak sangas looked primo.
