I got my 929 cylinder back from TK for having it chamfered and decided to clean up the trigger components and install a spring kit and that spring fell out and I had now idea how to get it back. I searched and found this video and it made it easy and got it back together working smoother than ever. This video saved me big time! Great job Eli, thanks a ton.
By the way, nice job on the cylinder chamfer too.

For the benefit of anyone who has found this video at need, there is one more thing to know that makes this SO MUCH EASIER than if you don't know. When you get the torsion spring inserted in place, take a small punch and gently push the spring body further back into the machined slot. Friction between the slot and the spring coil will hold the little @#$@ in place so you can then actually push the spring end past the small post on the hand before pushing the hand into place. Friction is our friend here.

I made a pin punch from a tiny number drill, worked perfectly. Pre MIM.

Clear as mud. I cannot get the spring back as I cannot see in this video what is going on.
Maybe I need to find an extreme close up video from first person perspective.

Hi thank you so much for this video, it helped a lot.
I have a question, when I was cleaning my smith wesson 327 TRR8, a TINY TINY spring came loose and i have no idea what it is and where it came from, it looks like the hand spring in this video, its shape is similar, but it's even much smaller than this one, it is TINY. Do you know which spring Im talking about and where it's suppose to go? Is there a way I can get a hold of you so I can send you a pic of it?
    thank you so much

Hello Alex, There is 2 different torsion springs in the S&W revolver. The one in this video is for the hand. The other torsion spring is the safety lock. (The flag that sits by the hammer) There is a torsion spring in there as well that sits in the frame. If i had to guess, i bet that is the spring you're talking about.
