  • We've been using the Lock & Ride Flex Burandt Large tunnel bag from Polaris this winter for carrying our all the things we need for a day (and hopefully not a night!) of riding in the backcountry-safety equipment, food, extra dry clothes and camera equipment. It's a lot of stuff!
In this review of the Lock & Ride Flex Burandt Large tunnel bag, we talk about what specific features we're looking for in a tunnel bag design, what is covered by the Burandt Large tunnel bag and a list of the pros and cons of the bag in our opinion.
    .
What tunnel bag solution do you use for carry all your extra gear? Let us know in the comment below, and how you like it.

For the price point of this bag it should be water proof. Its decent enough, holds what I need it to but they could have designed the material like a BCA bag as an example that everything inside the main compartment remains dry.

Thanks for the clear review. I’ve got this bag. Overall I’m happy with it. Lockride system is great and I’ve also fitted it to my Cat so I can use the same bag on different sleds. The bag is insanely expensive. Insanely. Like you say the low profile is good. The top angles take a shovel well, and you don’t need to buy the shovel holder attachment if you rig some quick release bungees on the tie points. Biggest drawback is size. It holds much less than I thought it would. Very efficient and accessible if you can lay out your set piece items like a surgeon’s table, but if the scene changes and you need to carry more or different stuff then it gets really hard. It makes you think carefully about what you need versus what you can carry, so I guess that’s a plus.

Good points! We've been carrying extra stuff like down jacket in the backpack when it comes off. But also, the large storage space behind the display on the Matryx sleds fits so much stuff! Love that. Thanks for watching!
