Just nuts - and 100% agreed on the linq slots, it leaves room for all my other crap lol. Stay tuned for lots of content as we approach the season and throughout it. Cheers, Mike

    Got the 30L Combo wide body bag for longer trips last year.
    Worked very well. Took a day or two to get used to it & adjust it slightly further back…..felt like I had a passenger on the back at 1st. 6’3” & it would bump up against my lower back until I got it tweaked perfectly.
    Old school here….I still wrap the lid on new unopened 1L & 4L oil bottles with a layer of duct tape.

    trail seat bag also works on G5 narrow. best bag in my opinion holds a ton. tool kit, tow strap, saw extra gloves and spare drink. I rarely use my 19+3L tunnel bag day to day, drink and other spare glove hat and snacks goes in the glovebox extension.

    Great video! I appreciate the overview of the options. Thought in the oil caddy? Is there a reason you don’t run that option?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks brother. Glad you liked the video. That's a great question! Mike did have the oil caddy for a season. The reason we don't use it is because it only holds 4L of oil and it takes up one whole linq slot. We are better off running the combo bag which can hold 8-12 L of oil (2-3 4L jugs) that way we can carry the oil we need for a 4 day trip. Cheers, Jesse

      Great video and thanks for posting. Are you carrying oil for more than yourself? I just bought a new to me Renegade X with the 850. Switched from a ZR7000. How much oil will you put through an 850 typically on a “say” 1600-1800 km ride? I was thinking oil caddy and buy more if needed at dealerships throughout Quebec. But you tell me you’re the experts. Thanks.

    On big trips I now run the trail seat bag the fuel caddy with the 40 litre dry bag stacked on top (clothing only) and the 19+3 bag on the back. 70+ litres total 80+ if you include the glove box extension. That 40 litre dry bag is so good it eliminated the combo seat bag for me. Far easier to get on and off the sled and that dry bag is so easy to take off. Great content 👍

    What`s your thought about a backpack on trips for carrying light stuff, have any of your group used one. I was thinking about one but wondered about fatigue.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому +1

      I think it depends on how long you are riding for and what you are intending to carry in them. I used backpacks way back in the day but any sort of weight in them and its noticeably uncomfortable. I also think it can restrict movement but again, its dependant on what you are intending to carry. The Linq backpack could be a nice option because if it doesn't work well on your back, or you get tired, you can always attach it to the sled. Hope this helps. Mike

    I really like the sport bag too. Bottom is covered with safety gear and lots of rooms for snacks and spare mitts, hat, etc.
    Do you ever ride with a backpack? For my backcountry rides or ice fishing I always carry the pack because even a modest size easily holds 40L. Bonus is that you look cool like the mountain riders.

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  2 роки тому

      Hey Jon! I have thought about a backpack but I would rather not unless I really need to. With the LinQ accessories I have for my sled, I have more then enough room to pile in all the stuff I need for 4 days away from the truck. Given that we are riding pretty hard from sunrise till after sunset (last year our average was 400kms a day and my longest day was 833kms) I want to save my back as much as possible. If I went on a 6+ day trip I would definitely wear a pack for the extra room. Cheers, Jesse

      Thanks brother. We really appreciate your support and glad you are enjoying the content. Oooo you will love that VR1 - its an absolute weapon! Ya those lights are sweet too! For a long ride, I would definitely get a set of south simcoe machine linq brackets (here is the link for your 137 to give you two linq slots: southsimcoemachine.com/collections/snowmobile/products/polaris-linq-adaptor-double-plate). When you say long ride do you mean a long day or multi day saddlebag? For day rides, I would get a LinQ Sport Bag 17L (shop.ski-doo.com/us/en/860202447-linq-sport-bag-17l.html). For multi day rides use the sport bag, plus get a stackable fuel caddy (shop.ski-doo.com/us/en/860202246-linq-stackable-fuel-caddy-4-gallons.html) and the LinQ 40L Dry bag (skidoooutlet.com/2021-brp-linq-dry-bag-40-l-715002875). Hey guys, just curious why you say the Trail Seat Bag won't work on a Gen 4 wide chassis? I just switched my seat and battery cover from a narrow G4 (XRS) to my wide G4 (X) to accommodate this bag and everything seems to fit. Did I miss something? Obviously it's summer and I haven't ridden with it, so just curious if you know something I don't about the seat/bag. Thanks!

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Рік тому

      Hey Sylvain. The trail seat bag is not compatible with the wide body g4 because of the seat and battery cover. The trail seat bag only works with the narrow seat and narrow battery cover so for sure if you switch both onto a wide body the bag will still work. Cheers, Jesse
