Saw WR in a Montreal club circa 1981 and was blown away by is stage presence , his band and of course his drummer...40 years later and living in South Florida, his music still moves me. My Montreal childhood heroes like Gino Vannelli, Frank Marino, April Wine and Walter Rossi keepe from ever ever giving up playing drums.
I was working the club de montreal early eghties and i rember Walter doing his sound check to this song great riff i will miss him i rember he played it the riff real loud to get his sound right
Just heard the news that Walter Rossi died. A hugely underrated songwriter and guitarist whose songs have mega-hit written all over them. I wonder if he's known outside of Canada, or even Montreal.
Thanks to a radio DJ in San Antonio, Joe "The Godfather" Anthony, we know about him here. Joe played MANY of your Canadian bands back when DJs could play what they wanted. He introduced us to many GREAT artists from around the world! Look him up if you have a moment.
Unfortunately, it happens to many talented musicians ... It was only a few years ago that I discovered Walter Rossi and became one of my favorites in music!
Pure Montreal Artists are Aldo Nova Frank Marino Andy Kim Michel Pagliero and myself Zack Tardy unfortunately Walter Rossi was born in Italy and Myles Goodwyn in British Columbia
That would be one fucking great show. These guys put so much emotion into their playing. Isn't that what music is supposed to be? Conveying an emotion audibly? Listening to these guys play ... is like having an audible orgasm.
This is SHAMEFUL. Check your fucking text before you publish. "A well-known and respected country artist in Quebec, Patrick Norman has released 25 albums in the course of his career. Born Yvon Ethier in Quebec on September 10, 1946, Norman released his first album in 1966 as part of the group Les Fabuleux Élégants. His greatest success, "Quand On Est en Amour," came about in 1984. His 2007 album, Comment le Dire, was a hit in his homeland, charting in the Top 30." WHAT THE FUCK !!! Totally NOT this.
RIP Walter, you were so incredibly talented. Your music will live on forever.
Montreal musicians are always under rated
RIP WALTER...
I WILL MISS U
YOUR NEPHEW

Walter sadly is no longer playing. The music business is not what it used to be.
Unfortunately, it happens to many talented musicians ... It was only a few years ago that I discovered Walter Rossi and became one of my favorites in music!
@@fmtfniuprog8029 He's on Facebook. Friend him and I'm sure he would be glad to hear comments and would reply.

Myles from Woodstock NB by the way and what make pure Montreal Artists is not that there born in MTL is the struggle to make it from MTL
@@markboom66 Correct - Goodwyn is from Woodstock, NB. (This message from Fredericton, NB!)
Rock Gods
Do not let him play with water gun

If this album (or WR ) had a rating it would be "under "
D
The description refers to him as a "country artist". He doesn't sound country to me.
Sort of southern rock
He's about as much country as Metalica
