My mom loves her 2014 nissan rogue s AWD its the best great for driving on the Big island of Hawaii make sure you get Ameriprise auto and home insurance if you have a Costco executive membership you get extra benefits you can save 500 to 2000 a year by switching
What I don't like about new Rogue or X-trail is that they do not have 6 speed (semi-manual) transmission and they do not give any seat option in Japan. This SUV is made for US and engine is made in Korea. I bet people in the States do not need 6 speed manual anymore on SUV and so as Nissan. Look like a SUV, but it's not for those who live in mountain area.
I bought an off-least 2015 Rogue AWD SV, with CVT, it does great. I am in NorthEast PA, so I put snow tires on as well for the winters. The Rogue does great with MPG and is comfortable to drive. Coming from a 2010 Forester with 190,000 miles, This Rogue is like driving a comfortable ezchair. Some complain about speed or dislike the CVT. Hey listen, if you want to pretend your in Fast and Furious movies, then dont buy an SUV, For the rest of that do live in reality and just want a good reliable ,safe comfortable family hauler. This is the choice for me. Smooth comfortable ride, good handling on highway, able to hold a lot of stuff from a trip to hardware store and supermarket. Great cargo room.
I have a 2017 Rogue. Love the comfort of the inside (as long as you really don’t want heat on your feet in the dead of winter). As for the AWD, awful, scariest car I’ve ever driven in the Midwest. Raining in the mountains out East, this car hydroplanes (not fun). Parking this thing is a nightmare-turning radius is too wide for such a small vehicle. I’ve paid it off and will be looking for another Subaru. Not as pretty or comfy for long trips, but I will feel safer.
@@occckid123 thanks for your insight. I put better tires on it the very first winter. It has not helped. I’m going back to a Subaru. Unless you can think of something else for me to try.
@@kimhardman6906 I've never heard anything good about Firestone tires. When you replaced the original tires did you replace it with this Firestone allseason tire? I would recommend michelin ltx or crossclimate 2 tires or goodyear maxlife tires for budget but subarus come with a geolander tire I think usually which is better suited for off-road.
You don't just put your foot down in these. You must likely don't drive a cvt so you drive for it 2 rev down not up but u don't know what that means because you were just mashing the gas. Engine itself really isn't loud under full throttle. It just sounds like it but compared 2 other it really isn't.
I love my rogue and love the loud engine sounds.
Same here
You have one of the best and most interesting car review channels on UA-cam. Thanks much.
Thanks as always for your videos... : )
Our pleasure . . .
I have a 2015 rouge. IMHO, CVT is awesome and one of better feature of this cuv.

+412echo I hope the CVT lasts. I just bought an Xtrail. my Nissan bluebird 910 had 400,000 km without touching the transmission
@@rishijai I have 330k on my altima cvt.

Great work.
what are the best brand replacement tires for all weather i have a 2014 nissan rouge
I am also riding XTrail. It's a really nice car. It is comfortable, such as in the car!
Test drove the rogue and I really like it but I would really like for the engine to whisper quiet.
That’s the only bad thing abt the CVT
Turn on closed caption my friend.
I live in the UK and have a 2017 Nissan X Trail 1.6 DCi TEKNA, thank you so much for your video
I named my Vogue L.o.L

Driving one as a rental right now. Awful. Feels like it could flip easily on a moose test.
check the moose test then 🤷♂️
If you put premium on a Nissan rouge. Thing goes really fast. It worked well with mine.
You can ask me for a yummy mummy test drive. I already have a Nissan Xtrail that is my love of my life
But my x trail have more hood weight than this car
My 2000 Ford Ranger has an aluminum hood. So much progress. If the engine wasn't a 30+ year old design it'd get just as good mpg.
Doubt you can get 32mpg hwy

How about you just put better tires on it?

I agree... The cvt is awful on these cars and loud. Just test drove one yesterday.
