I've got to do this job tomorrow. Mine failed coming off a motorway slip road. Luckily I managed to get it going in 2nd gear and pull into a lay-by. Thanks for the video. Without it I wouldn't have known how easy the job might be.

    Nice video!
It's also a good idea to lube the clutch actuator arm by removing its circlip and putting a few tablespoons of gear oil while doing this job - it solved getting into reverse and first on my GT JTD which has the same clutch system. There is a whole thread on alfaowner for this who have solved many clutch issues this way.
Looking forward to more videos! Thanks. ;)

Awesome, I might look into that as well if it still plays up! Good tip :)

Not yet, I'm planning on changing mine this year since its squeaky. I believe its not too difficult to do but you have to get under the car to undo some stuff

Part number is 46835408 and I used a genuine Alfa one from Alfaworkshop.co.uk, but they also sell TRW which is probably the same if not better quality 🙂

@@LueysGarage that help a lot.thank you...I am planning to change both cylinder (master and slave) base on your tutorial.

@@kahhauwong 100% worth doing, my clutch is now completely silent and works brilliantly. Its a pretty easy DIY job as well, you'll just need someone to help you bleed the slave cylinder afterwards by pumping the clutch pedal. A lot of people get left stranded due to these old cylinders failing so its important to do this as preventative maintenance

We are interested in more tuts btw , all alfa engines have a problem with crankshaft when you push the engine to its limits so do you recommend any mod or fix to that problem ?

    • @LueysGarage

I haven't heard of that particular issue with anyone in the Alfa club. I'll ask around and see if there's something I can do.

I don't know of any Alfa engine that has a problem with their crankshafts.
