    Looks like they added the "summoning" tag to the necromancy summons as well, now. Does that mean augment summons and superior summons will now finally work on the skeletons?
    Wonder if they gave skeletal champions +1 swords instead of masterwork so the necromancer's staff can actually work.

      That would be great!
      A reanimator summons with augmented + mythic summoning would have somewhere between +13-22 Str/Cha without the lich bonuses if that's the case. I would most likely run a semi-solo reanimator/lich combo on midnight isles freeform and check it out.

    Time to start a new Lich playthrough. Love this game. It has so much more depth than BG3 and playing an evil party is possible and funny.

    One BIG, BIG buff with Corruptor is CREEPING DOOM.
    My main in my dragon path was a Nature Oracle with the spell.
    And while it was still super useful in the regular game, it was the DLC that surprised me
    Proteans are NOT immune to poison, so when my swarms did damage, they al shut them down. My persistent swarms just dominated them
    Thats because each little individual swarm uses YOUR DC for the poison effect

    Great Guide! I am getting back into WOTR now, pretty burnt out on BG3, in fact I prefer WOTR but I forgot, how can you get your 1 round per level summons to last for 24 hours? Thanks again!

      Greater enduring spell + extend rod/extend metamagic + merged spell book to reach high CL (in that way 1 round spell reaches the time threshold).

    TBF to owlcat; I don't think they add a lot of this stuff for people like us who min/max every number for every stat for every character. Most players play on normal and make a moderate build that sufficient for what they're doing. Or try to game the system to the extent their capable at first glance without intimate knowledge of the game. For those players a lot of these feats/buffs are really, really good.

    Strange corruptor doesn't ignore party immunities when ascendant element and other things like that do. Almost seems like an oversight, wonder if that will be bug-fixed at some point.

      I think(and hope) its intended. Because Abaddon plague from new shaman archetype could become contagios, and because it's not a spell(so no selective metamagic) there will be no way to protect allies from that

      It might not be that it doesn't ignore immunities, i think it could just be that Delay poison doesn't actually make you immune to poison but suspends the effect so Corruptor doesn't bypass it.

    The heavy armor mythic feat means you actually have a reason now to go for a two weapon heavy armor build.
    My first trough was an idea I had for a while of a Warpriest of Pharasma weilding heavy armor and the dagger that gives you two extra attacks.
    With sacred weapon and this extra damage Id be doing nasty work

    Quite funny that Corrupter is super busted for spell caster, since poison weapon damage is just not that relevant
    I wonder if it also effects things like swarms, cause being able to nauseate swarms would be so big
    Gotta get back into the game after so long, seems like there is enough incentive to start another playthrough;
    Dreading Leper's Smile and the Vescavor horror already

      Corrupter is really famtastic for the creeping doom spell.
      Its already the best summon, but each individual swarm uses your DC to poison the enemies.
      That spell alone conpletely destroyed all the proteans abmnd axiomites in the DLC for me

    The new heavy armour ability makes mutation warrior even more superior. Tower shield specialist already had the disadvantage of worse saves, initiative and hit points and lack of fortification, and now its AC bonus is surpassed by the mutagen bonus to strength.
    I still think pyjama tanks are the way to go. My self buffed trickster sword saint whose only investment in defensive abilities is archmage armour sits at over 90 AC just self buffed, no defensive fighting and without counting seamantle. Still, heavy armour tanks at least now function. Tanking deskari with heavy armour and shield when his AB is 75 even on core was a complete non starter before. And the offensive benefits seem solid. +4/5 AB from light armour is a large increase.
    As for the damage bonus of heavy and medium armour, this really depends on how the damage applies. A lot of physical damage bonuses that deal a different damage type or have a separate dice roll do not multiply on crit and are independently subject to DR whilst not benefitting from DR bypass of your attack. If this is true of the armour damage bonuses, these abilities will be negligible. If they multiply on crit, they will be very competitive. If they at least dont get DR applying to them separately, they will be at least OK. Have you tested this yet?
    edit: looks like its not multiplied on crit. If its separately affected by DR as well, this is actually quite bad. I would much sooner take a smaller bonus that isnt wiped out by DR and multiplies on crit.

      @@acrab6527 OK, well I for one do not think spamming bane of spirit on every character every round is a reasonable solution to DR. Its handy if you are dealing things like swarms, but this is really tedious to use routinely. Its also a very hefty health tax to use like this.
      If you mean that its damage type changes to match the source of the damage, no, thats not what it means. Bane of spirit converts everything. It doesnt mean the damage type will convert to the base weapon damage type. It clearly states it has a specific damage type. Heavy assault is slashing for example.

      the bane of spirit scythe is better anyway. With those "do damage on misses" abilities and bane or weapon buffs, the misses do the same damage as the hits. 100% accuracy.

      @@acrab6527 Firstly, if it was supposed to be clear the first time, its odd that you "quote" yourself saying something you did not in fact say. What you actually said was:

      Which is clearly not the same as:
      "anything bane of spirit converts also receives changes to weapon damage"
      So rather than give me snark for supposedly not understanding a statement you yourself thought you needed to clarify, why not just clarify?
      And in any case, both your original and new statements are just wrong.
      I was pretty certain it was wrong, but I wanted to check its not a change in the patch. So I tested it. I know boots of stampede are useless partly because they only benefit the first attack even with pounce but mainly because they do not bypass DR or multiply on crit, meaning they usually do little to nothing.
      So I tested it against a party member with frightful aspect. The blundgeoning damage of the boots was reduced by the 10/magic DR, something the base shifter claws definitely bypassed.
      I then did the same with bane of spirit buff and the boots of stampede were converted to force damage.
      You are definitely wrong. Something being converted to force damage by bane of spirit does not mean it inherits the damage type of the base weapon, nor its DR bypass.

      Yep, when I tested HA Mythic Feats, I definitely went with Mutation Warrior as always.

    Just on a theory crafting level, Vengeful comets made me laugh. Toss it on someone who has sneak attack damage. Since Seelah is always eyeballs deep in the thick of the fight with extra reach, that retaliatory comet can be doing something like 18d6+10 free out of sequence damage. And if it's a fire spell, double that. So it's a great little buff for any fight you know has a particularly annoying spell caster involved. Obviously more testing is needed. Does it work if I resist the spell? What about if I save? What happens if you're just in the area of the spell and not the direct target?

    Hey, since there's a feat called Weapon Focus (Ray), does that mean ray spells count as a weapon for Spellcaster's Onslaught? Because if so that mythic feat could be really useful for a ray blaster mage. I doubt it works, but it'd be cool though.

    I don't think School Tolerance is *meta* or anything, but it could make some of the lesser used Wizard archetypes a LOT more playable. Since the big trade with most of the archetypes is having to take multiple Opposition Schools.

    nice, this is exactly the video i was hoping for :) looking forward to the new build guides. unfortunately it seems like a lot of the new subclasses might not be the best for unfair.
    but maybe an azata build using favorable magic, plus ill omen (rod-quickened), plus dual-cursed oracles revelation where enemies passively cant roll 20, i think enemy would need to roll 3 times on any save and take the worst result. and any 20 gets turned into a 1. might be overkill though.

    I am a bit puzzled about some of the archetypes. Separatist cleric, for example, was apparently a lot of work. In a game with impossible domain and some interesting archetype bonuses like primary domain for ecclesiathurge, I have no idea why they bothered making this. I cannot see ever taking a gimped domain and forgoing powerful archetype features when I can get the real thing for a single mythic ability.
    The rogue archetype seems utterly naff.
    Given a lot of people dont play mercs (myself included), its disappointing the see the shadowcaster have a profane bonus. Any wizard main character is almost certainly going to have this made completely obsolete by profane ascension, as legend pure casters are generally a bad choice and this archetype isn't for multiclassing.
    Unless I am missing something about prophet of pestilence, this looks like it loses a lot of good features to be able to do moderate stat damage which seems very much like an archetype that is for villains in pnp where he could infect a relatively low level party who couldnt easily cure it or NPCs as a plot device. As a mechanic to use against enemies you will fight in a single short combat encounter, this seems pretty naff. Even worse, the progression of the class just adds new stats to damage, not increasing stat damage for the stats already selected. Doing 1d4 damage to 5 stats at endgame is just a really weak debuff. I am not sure on the frequency of this damage (disease is normally several hours to do anything, but looking at the text, I assume its homebrewed to function like poison rather than a disease and do damage per round). If its doing damage per round, then yes, theoretically, you could over time debilitate enemies or potentially kill them, but its single target, allows repeated saves and upfront does very little. Early on, sleeping an enemy would be way more useful. Late game, you have so many better options than a single target repeated fortitude save ability that will require many rounds and failed saves to do anything significant. Animal servant allows one save and neutralises the enemy immediately and permanently and I dont know anyone who raves about this ability.
    Ghostrider honestly seems more thematically than mechanically interesting. I was really hoping for an ability like Ulbrig's gryphon charge so you could have a cavalier than does not have to worry about the very frequent line of sight issues this game has with charging. Instead its a speed boost, shared healthpool and ignoring difficult terrain which honestly, who cares? A lich ghostrider would allow you to benefit from lord of the grave without taking an otherwise very bad lich power, and with vampiric blade, the health funnel into your mount could be effective. Otherwise, I am underwhelmed.
    The Orcale archetype seems like a rather minor change all things considered, but an easy upgrade; just take a 2nd curse of abyssal or infernal and its virtually free. Rerolling 1s once per day is quite weak unless you rest all the time, but forcing enemies to reroll 20s is pretty good, as each enemy is fought only once, so this works every fight regardless of resting.
    The gyrona hag is actually pretty cool even if not that powerful. The hag spell DCs are low, but at least its a haste and normal dispel bot and ennervate doesnt allow a save. I am not sure how it would melee with the right gear, but the weapon being unchangeable is unfortunate. The greater dispel ability is handy. The fear descriptor bonus is good for phantasmal killer and fear, both solid level 4 spells. Its a shame the patron doesnt give weird though. At any rate, I think its worth the trade for the hexes. Honestly, you just need evil eye and protective luck, and beasts gift can be a moderately useful buff. Unless abused with cackle, fortune's once per day limitation stops it being particularly significant and sleep falls off rather quickly.
    I havent created a winters child druid, so I am not sure how good the blizzard companion is. Presumably, it should be worse than an animal companion, but if not, the extra domain spells and cold conversion would make this a solid pick. The cold damage on summons and your companion likely wont benefit from your ascendent element, so will basically be useless.
    Tandem exectutioner is probably better than the base hunter, but I would still rather take divine hound and personally dont rate the base hunter.
    The hag bloodrager seems rather terrible. I cannot see how the claws are remotely competitive with good weapons.
    I am unsure on the flesh eater and would need to know what the specific essence abilities are.
    Ditto with geomancer, I would need to know what the terrain abilities are, but unless very impressive, I really dont like the idea of getting a bonus only if in particular terrain.
    The reanimator is based on a class I dont really care for and focusses on summoning which I think is more hassle than its worth to get even mediocre results.
    The tortured crusader honestly seems like an overall downgrade from the base paladin. Lower bonuses to AC and AB by a large margin by endgame, and double to bonus to damage is nice, but not at the cost of your entire party benefitting from smite. And losing the ability to cleanse CC from party members guts lay on hands, relegating it to a self heal. If you can cast the ability to remove CC, you yourself are not CCed. And if its just healing, channel energy is generally a lot more efficient. Losing divine grace is also rather bad. I would say the capstone is somewhat better, but even that doesnt equalise things overall, and its level 20 only. I dont think paladins make great multiclasses (other than for the divine grace dip which you cannot do with this archetype), but I suppose it could be an option for high wis, low charisma builds. I cannot think of any offhand that I would want to use this for.
    Weretouched seems straightforwardly worse than the base shifter. The minor aspects are significantly worse, you dont get the unlimited minor aspect at level 20 either, and the 3 forms are all outclassed in their respective rolls by base shifter forms.

      I can say that Dual Cursed Oracle, Geomancer (especially as lvl1 Dip for Blasters), Tandem Executioner can be great choices.
      Separatist is indeed very disappointing, you can just go Erastil + Impossible Domain for example.

    Relatively new to the game here, i started an arcanist (lich) character the other day and didnt see the ghoul touch or animate dead lesser spells and im at lvl 7 already and can cast third lvl spells.am i missing something?

      @@cRPGBro The crazy buff Arcane caster got was what made stuff like Eldritch Knight so fun to play in NW2 and level 7-9 spell slots were more useful due to the permanent metamagic feat. In this game Eldritch Knight is never going to compare something like a Eldritch Rider or even a Alchemist.

    I think the mythic assault light armor focus is not that bad, since it grants a max +4 (maybe more) for AB - compare to mythic weapon focus seems a better deal to mealtho it is not broken by any means. Also, the N/- DR can be quite fun if you build to stack it as much as possible. On Vanilla WotR i tried to do a barbarian lich build and still achieved some good results being hit for almost nothing and healing it with vampire sword. The problem is that it only started to shine at chapter 4 - it didnt use any DLC items at the time so maybe it is viable now? Lets see if you can come out with a nice DR build :)

      I am from the future. Light Armor Assault is absolutely busted especially on Elven Curved Blade users because it adds the total SUM of your armor bonus, not just from the light armor itself. So yes Archmage Armor, shield AC and Barkskin etc... they all STACK. It is absolutely broken and makes Elven Curved Blade builds become ridiculously broken as +14 attack roll on a Devitalizer means even Unfair Playful Darkness melts in a few hits as long as you are luncky with the crits ofc.

    Here's how to fix Oracle's Burden and to incentivize its use - "Caster passes curse on to target until next rest." There, that way you can make having a curse REALLY suck so you want to shove it on to some enemy ASAP.

    Found out that mythic armor focus assault armor conflicts with additional elemental weapon damage and sneak damage 😭 only one is ever online on a hit and it pisses me off. If I sneak I don't holy from my rapier or damage from my armor. Et vice versa

    .With perfect cavalry you can charge Through mobs to get at backrow casters/archers without having to worry bout attacks of opportunity.

    Is Heavy Armor Avoidance giving you your entire Strength bonus in the video? It reads it would give half of the Strength bonus, which is okay, but not great. If it's actually giving the full score, then this feat is ACTUALLY TOTALLY making up for not wearing my PJ's.

    Fun fact with symbol of weakness, it can be bolstered AND maximised for -27 strength damage (or a -13 modifier basically). Perfect for plague of madness and a lot of enemies are surprisingly weak to it and even some non-undead or legendary bosses. Just don't go into the radius unless you're buffed against ability damage...

      At first I thought it would be weak, but then I realized you can upgrade the Disease with many powerful effects, such as locking enemies out from taking actions while affected at level 14.

    Lich received a new level 10 spell. It is essentially an area-of-effect "10 damage per caster level" that does not hit allies.
    Also a level 7 spell that grants you a throwable bone spear if it takes down an enemy. Haven't figured out how to use it properly.

    I disagree with the opinion about the bomber. I think its a fantastic class for a few reasons:
    By far the best dispeller in the game with Dispeling Bombs.
    Easiest way to overcome the insane AC of enemies. With things like Mark Of Justice, the damage also increases.
    When fighting the Ghost of Nahyndri in the DLC, my alchemist was invaluable to hit his gigantic ac

    Meteor swarm ignores spell resistance. Which was always a big selling point. But with allied spellcaster you already get +16 or something to spell penetration.

    Hi there ,I just tried your Loremaster build for Ember yesterday was wondering if they nerfed the spell list for LM after that patch? There just isn't Greater Command in the list of cleric Spells...She's at level 10 (so 9 Stigmatized and 1 LoreM- raised Charisma only)...did it just the way you showsd so did they change something to LM mechanic/spell requirements?

      I respecced my Ember to test it and it's indeed happening.
      The solution appears to be to simply get her normal level 5 spells as a level 10 Witch first, then get into 1 Loremaster at level 11, which should let you pick Greater Command now!

      When two handing a weapon, and using power attack, you don't take the attack penalty on the first hit. Available at level 1 if you have power attack already. Vital strike and Rowdy rogue can no longer miss
      Also another feat that lets you use dazzling display if you hit something flat footed. No longer need to kill something for dreadful carnage, just start every fight with a sneak attack

      There are some new normal Feats indeed, I just wasn't sure if they were DLC or New Patch related!
      Focused Strike lets you do the first hit of Power Attack without taking the penalty.

      ​@@cRPGBro Yes, i know the class is optimized around STR, but, as Kitsune i made DEX to damage, otherwise it wouldn't work well. I'm no expert in the game, but that far i know, haha. Also magic fangs stacks and the stuff from the shifter DLC works well with the class enhancing further the claws and geting a second bite attack with full bonuses with the mask. I've been reading the class isn't the best for the min/max, but, i like the idea of a Kitsune relying on natural attacks outside shifter/druid and since i never did a run with a Kitsune before, that's it. Thanks for all your content, i think i have more hours watching your videos than playing.

      the bomb is considered a weapon attack so it should , but it only works on one attack, not every bomb you throw. and the bombs arent spells so you would have to cast another spell first

    Now, if only they could implement the armor master mythic ability to the game in some shape or form, heavies would be even better.
    For the "what the heck are you talking about" crowd among you. In PnP there is an armor master ability that would remove the armor checks, arcane spell failure chance and get full DEX bonus while wearing light armor. You can get it a second time to also apply to medium and once more for heavy.
    There is a tweaks mod that gives a good variant to the ability making it instead give a +1 armor check, -5% arcane failure and +1 DEX bonus to armor per mythic rank. Which is pretty good, hope Owlcat makes some variant to that. Sure, pijama tanks are awesome, but it should have only veen viable on full arcane spellcasters (and monks) and not for literally every class. And even then not to ridiculous +100 AC! You dont need AC that high in PnP pathfinder! 40-50 is more than enough 90%of the time.

      Definitely! It has way more build potential as well, especially with the including of the Mythic Paths the main character can follow.
      It can be harder to get into due to more complex mechanics, but I have guides for about pretty much everything already 😃

    Meteor Swarm look good with Arcane Trickster as it has 2 dmg instance to trigger AoE Sneak Attack
    My problem with Armor balance is that you only start to get it @MR2/lv7 which at that point i prefer my frontline to take Mythic Power Attack. My playstyle only need dedicated tank until around MR4-MR5 so that it almost do nothing on tank front for me.
    Mythic Flying Buckler is look good for me. Problem is it kinda hard to make character to equip buckler to stay in frontline and do decent DPS as it doesn't get x1.5 STR mod + can't do buckler shield bash.
