The children of Rennala are the only ones who can inherit the Carian royal throne as she, Rennala, is the queen and first royal of the Carians. Miquella and Melenia may be half siblings to Ranni Rykard and Redahn but they have no blood connection to Rennala they are only connected cause it’s their Dads past lover. The moon and golden order were conjoined when Rennala and radagon were married but they are divorced now. The Demi god status gifted to ranni rykard and redahn is based on radagon being apart of marika. So there is no connection for Miquella and Melania have no right to the carian throne.

Miq defending the Misbegotten and Omens being a shunned form of life; how did we miss this? Of course Miq was helping Mohg, he'd have taken pity. Miq had a cursed youthful body - a curse most would WANT yet it limited Miq's ambition and ability. Hence the Haligtree plan, kill Radahn move the stars of fate, Malenia guards the tree while Mohg guards the womb, in the Land of Shadows they all were working towards the defeat of Messmer to enact the Eclipse to ressurect Godwyn.

I don't think Miquella and Malenia have any kind of connection with their lineage to the Carians, the golden star governs the destiny of the gods and in turn Malenia and Miquella who are destined to become one, they also need the eclipse for the ritual So the whole need to kill Radahn makes complete sense to them, Miquella can't achieve godhood and resurrect Godwyn as long as Radahn keeps the stars in place

@@andrewjmichael For me Radagon's journey is a story about becoming yourself, Radagon starts out as nothing more than an extension of Marika to lead the Liurnia wars, which I believe was a way for Marika to make her subjects recognize Radagon as a great champion and general to eventually leave Godfrey aside and have no reason to be contradicted when choosing Radagon as the new elden lord, a plan that obviously does not go as expected as the Carians turned out to be much stronger than she expected, it is at this moment that I believe that Radagon makes his first decision for himself and falls in love with Rennala and contrary to what most think this was all a plan for Marika to destroy the Carians from within I don't think so, I believe that Radagon genuinely fell in love with Rennala regardless than Marika wanted, he became himself but that didn't last long as Marika eventually banished Godfrey and reunited with his other half, but at that point Radagon was already completely different from Marika and had his own will when trying to repair the elden ring after Marika tears him apart

    • @andrewjmichael
      @andrewjmichael 16 днів тому +1

@@davisiotta489 No joke, that is pretty much spot on my same interpretation. Radagon just sort of pops up out of nowhere to lead the campaign against the Carians, at the time when Godfrey (ostensibly the greatest warrior alive and current Elden Lord) would have been the natural choice for the job.
It only makes sense to me that this was a deliberate choice on Marika's part to exclude Godfrey, the only mishap being that she didn't count on her other side being 'enchanted' by Rennala's full moon just like the academy had been before him. Maybe Marika knew how spellbinding Rennala could be and worried that Godfrey could be somehow turned against her by the Carian queen, and thought she could resist what Godfrey maybe could not.(pure speculation, of course)
Melina's quote from Marika in her bedchamber is pretty illuminating too- when she calls Radagon a 'leal hound of the Golden Order' who has yet to become 'her' or 'a god' is reflective of what you pointed out-- that his time with Rennala changed him fundamentally so that he was no longer just an extension of Marika.
Side note- I was watching the Emerald Gecko video a minute ago about the DLC and was going to make a comment about the mistranslation regarding Malekith and Marika's relationship, but sure enough you had already made one. Well done handling that exchange.

Mohg is just weird and speaking literally to the body of Miquella. he is physically filling Miquellas body with cursed blood to prep him for the formless mother and his new dynasty. what mohg does not know is that Miquella divested himself of everything to enter the shadow of the erdtree. we didn’t know until the trailer, but miquella is a corpse. this is a physical space, Mohg would not be able to be in two physical spaces at once, this is not a dream world he can wake up from anytime an intruder shows up at his throne. it’s most likely to be able to PHYSICALLY and not spiritually (like miquella) warp into the veil certain things must happen, Radahn must die and you must recieve some sort of invitation, getting the wolves and torrent could be our ticket for this teleportation to work as it’s our invitation by miquella or it’s another NPC who has yet to be introduced.
mohg didn’t create the cocoon the cocoon was in the haligtree from miquella much like the other creatures around the haligtree who are in cocoons for their own transformation. you can even see miquella being carried off with that cocoon and fluid all over him in the picture of mohg stealing him away. the cocoon in the haligtree where miquella was is the literally stomach of a woman like a pregnant belly, you can see the spot in malenias boss room. mohg is selfish and wants to create his own blood dynasty with the formless mother, he is a separate threat influenced by a separate outer god, miquella is not a fan of outer gods it wouldn’t make sense for him to want an outer god to influence his physical form like his sister who he’s trying to cure.

I just had this thought today, that Miquella in his dream during Mohg's transition to his palace, was the blue spirit fairy that help Melania. Those trees that are all broken with blue shock spirits near them, those are ancestral follower spirits that became trees, but spilled out after the trees got destroyed before fully growing. So if this happened with Miquella, his spirit may have done what he always dreamed of, helping Melania. But Miquella was sleeping and this was a dream to him, his spirit may be older then his body and hard to recognize for Melania. This would give his spirit form a blue fairy like form, literally flying through the air with his sword. But here is the thing, Miquella is very stongly thematically like Fillianore, and something bad happens when she wakes up. The sleep and madness status effects have the same galaxy background, the sleep has a closed peaceful eye in the middle. The frenzy has an open pissed off eye in the middle. The sleep spirit may have been Saint Trina, the older, female spirit version of Miquella's dream self that ended up physically helping his sister possibly without knowing the difference between his dreams, and Melania possibly not knowing that was another form of her brother. During Trina's short visit to the lands between, she was so bewitching, that an entire cult formed around shooting people with sleep arrows to spread their faith. Idk wtf is going on with this last part, but there was a man who, unable to become a finger maiden, instead traveled the lands spreading his faith. There was also a man, most likely the same man, who was so obsessed with St. Trina, that he continued his search for her in his slumber. It would be pretty crazy if Miquella was trying to find his other self, obsessing over his dreams of Trina. But what happens when a sleeping god wakes up?
"by the king's decree, Fiallianore's slumber must not interrupted. The king's decree is no trifling matter, the abyss runneth deep" "spear of the church... MAKE HASTE!"
There are a good couple quotes from the ringed city that smack pretty hard when compared to Elden Ring characters, I think the locust sermons each describe a particular character quite well for being in a different game.
"one... poor girl, slew her own kin. But even so, was embraced, enveloped by the abyss. Twas a comfort neither moon nor sunless sky afforded her before" Ranni
"one... met the dark with learning, but in the end... found his knowledge was wanting. The world began without knowledge, and without knowledge will it end" Gideon

This is a solid theory, and very grounded in the lore compared to some of the other speculation I've seen recently.
The only potential catch I can see is that Rennala wasn't involved in Miquella and Malenia's conception, she was with her amber egg down in Liurnia. So, I could see the transitive 'title' of Carian Royalty being theirs if a) they were related to blood by Rennala (sadly they're not) or b) Rennala and Radagon had stayed married.
We're not told directly that they divorced, but in my reading, Miriel strongly suggests as much when he talks about Rennala's egg and says "Severing a vow, the strongest of bonds, has consequences ever more dire," when you speak to him in the Church of Vows. I see it as thematically in keeping with the rest of the game; their marriage having been broken just like the ring, the current order and by extension the world itself. Not sure if there is a cultural component I'm missing about the formal recognition of the children of former spouses, but its certainly possible.
That being said, I really like this theory and I think you're onto something about Miquella and Mohg being in a 'partnership' of sorts: Mohg thinking he's winning Miquella's favor by helping him in the Lands of Shadow (but probably just being used, or compelled, by Miquella without realizing), and Miquella doing...whatever the hell he's going to be doing there which is worth shacking up with the Lord of Blood and shedding his Empyrean flesh, so I guess it'll be pretty dope.
As an aside, this theory completely recontextualized how I saw Malenia. I always granted her a lot of independence and agency in my head canon because of how skilled and intimidating she is, but you really showed in this video how utterly and completely devoted to Miquella she is. When she calls herself the 'blade of Miquella' she means it literally, that she sees herself as a weapon to be used in pursuit of his goals. When he vanishes, she just... waits there for him. For thousands of years, seemingly accomplishing nothing other than not withering away thanks to the unalloyed gold prosthetics he left her.

Your theory is interesting but there's a huge problem with it. Malenia and Miquella are not related to the Carrian Royal Family. Ranni and Radahn are the children of Ragadon (Marika) and Renalla. Renalla, Ranni and Radahn all have Carrian blood. But Malenia and Miquella are twins born of Marika and Radagon (who are the same person), so the twin prodigies (as they are referred to by Morgott) are the only ones born out of a single Empyrean God and have no connection to the Stars and Glintstone Sorcery. Miquella and Malenia were Empyreans chosen to succeed Marika by the Greater Will and to have their own sacred tree. Ranni was chosen as an Empyrean but not by the Greater Will, but by another unknown Outer God related to the Dark Moon and the Age of the Stars, which is why Ranni slaughtered her own Two Fingers.

great video bro, i absolutely agree and would go one step further. they are ALL in cohoots with eachother. morgott names all of the demigods as traitors, including general radahn. i believe ranni, as well as melina (possibly miquella alter ego?) are also aligned with miquella. considering there will be no new ending, i believe miquellas ending aligns nearly perfectly with rannis. therefore it would make sense that her ending remains the true ending, as it accomplishes miquellas goal of removing the influence of the outer gods, as well as the greater will and marika. even radagon aligned against marika in the end, and became a puppet of the elden beast/greater will, just as the gloam eyed queen became a puppet of the outer god of "gloam" or whatever

i think Mohg is helping Miquella, but in a different way. After the Haligtree plan failed, i think MIquella needed to get to the land of shadow and the only way to do that is to divest himself of his flesh, his lineage, etc. So i think Mogh was instrumental in basically defiling Miquella's physical form so he could escape to the land of shadow.

Think that Malenia never set out to find Miquella because we are the ones who wakes her from her slumber. A slumber that possibly started before the stalemate against Radahn. It's suspicious that she speaks of her slumber where she leaves corpse after corpse but seems to have no recollection of "losing" to Radahn. Might be to grow a legend of an army who never loses. Both she and Mohg is probably played by their brother.

I have this low key feeling he orchastrated everything that lead to the Shattering and coaxed everyone to do their own thing on certain ways. A little suggestion here, a little empathy there. But i believe both mohg and malenia were pawns. I dont know the extent of Miquellas compelling abilities, but i feel that rot would have eventually worked its way to malenias mind, making her a bit senseless. Maybe thats why she resorted to the Aeonia. She wasnt able to think clearly anymore.
Instead, i lean toward Miquella, Ranni, and Melina all being aligned. I believe that either ranni did not intend for godwyn to be killed or she deeply regretted it after the fact. My main reasoning for their proposed alliance is the connection all three share with torrent. They are the ONLY three that seem to know of his existence besides us. Something tells me melina and ranni have been to the shadow realm...and we may very well see them both there.

Miquella at first seemed to me to be the most Christ like figure within elden ring, even sporting a creepy priest spawned out of his blood. Miquella's haligtree is a place of redemption that can be the new home for those who have been cast out or are sick with rot. I think this kind of organization being the successor to that of the haligtree seems reminiscent of Christianity taking the place of the crumbling roman pantheon in our world.
On the other hand, as i finished the game and discovered that Radigon and Merica were the same I realized that Miquella and Malenia were not siblings, and had a relationship more similar to the created beings, Adam and Eve. Miquella even appears as a right arm, possibly taken from Malenia's side.
In my opinion this makes a couple of other ideas make more sense. First, why the albenaurics think of the haligtree as a place that they would feel welcome, because the chief deity of the haligtree is, himself, a created being, like the albenaurics. And second the swamp daughters, an inversion of the story of Cain and Abel, have two likely parents, Malenia and Miquella
I'm very curious to learn more about Mesmer as his identity as an alluring serpent seems to fit right into the Adam and Eve narrative. Of course, the Miquella Malenia story is already twisted slightly by Miquella being taken out of Malenia, so who's to say which one of them has been seduced by Mesmer's temptation.
I'd love to go on and talk about more ways that Malenia and Miquella are like Adam and Eve, but when i was typing them out they dwarfed this initial section
