One thing you might not have caught is that Cherri is actually not just blowing up random things but she's actually targeting things and places that belong to Valentino, Angel's boss and pimp, most likely as a means of revenge for hurting her best friend. And the mystery cyclops is named Izzi, he's an unused Zoophobia character from Vivz' previous work being introduced in Hazbin in connection with Cherri. In Zoophobia he was to be a Bounty Hunter and from the lyrics in this music video it sounds like they had a professional relationship that went sour because she mentioned his "money and power" implying he was doing it for riches and authority and her "simple delights" meaning most likely that she was only in it to have fun blowing things up.
By his eyes maybe he is Cherri's father in this since they look like alot and she say "misbehave". Angel have an abusive boss maybe Cherri had an abusive dad idk
One thing you may have not caught (Though it's on screen for a few seconds so a lot of people never notice) is when Angel and Cherri are running out of the club at the end, there's a neon sign on the wall that says "It was all a dream" Sadly, this implies that Angel only dreamt blowing up the club with Cherri and in reality just suffered through the whole video with no relief or happiness to be had. When you really think about it, they couldn't blow it up because the club is owned by Angel's boss who's an overlord, he'd absolutely hurt Angel (Even worse than what we saw in the video) and would have gone after Cherri and probably killed her. Angel has no power over his abusive boss, so all he can do is dream about his happiness and hope Charlie's redemption idea will work so he can finally be free.
@@stolasgoetia93 Yeah I was talking with a fan about that the other day. I think the main cast will all develop close bonds and consider each other family, seeing the hotel as their own heaven that they made together.
FunFact: The name "Angel Dust" is actually a name for a drug, and Angel is a drug-addict, hence why he is named after the drug instead of his name from his life, Anthony.
@@Bagel_Dog His name is Anthony, Vivzie said that on one of the livestreams from Ashley Nichols, she sometimes gives a bit of a backstory on the characters!
I'm kinda surprised no one has mentioned it yet but there's a sing in the club that states 'it was all a dream' that could hint the whole section in the club and blowing it up was a dream, maybe Angel seeing it as being free from Valantino.
So to give a little insight on the lyrics as far as Angel's perspective: On the surface level the idea of being addicted seems to relate to the drugs he's taking but there is actually a lot more to it than that. He's addicted to the overall lifestyle he lives. The problem is that Valentino (his boss) more or less controls Angel's life. One of Angel's biggest struggles is the fact that he can't escape from Valentino. This isn't because Valentino has any kind of real power over him or forces him to stick around, it's because the lifestyle that Angel wants, the feeling of being important and being desired as the sexy porn star is provided by Val. So in other words, Valentino is part of the package. Angel can't leave Valentino or else he'd lose everything he has. He's afraid that without Valentino he will no longer have the fame and renown that comes with being that famous porn star he is so proud about being. Without Valentino, Angel is afraid of becoming nothing more than a no-name prostitute turning tricks on the street. This is what the line "You're not letting it go." that Cherri sings about is referencing. Angel can't let go of this lifestyle he lives and as such he can't let go of Valentino either, even though he wants to escape him. This is also what Angel means in the final verse when he says "I'm dependent." he's not just dependent on drug use, but he's dependent on Valentino, the person that abuses him, to provide him with the things he wants most. This is why he's "Feeling helpless". Most of the final lines have a double meaning. The "rush of poison flowing into my veins giving me a dose of pleasure that resides by the pain" is this double edged sword of being able to have the 'pleasure' of being a hot shot performer that everyone goes nuts over, but the pain is the fact that Valentino ultimately is the only reason it's able to happen for him and allowing Val to be abusive is the only way to get that fix that Angel desires so badly. Angel is basically stuck in a situation where he feels worthless without Valentino, but at the same time he absolutely hates how Valentino treats him and wishes he could get away from him. This is his dilemma, and what the song is primarily about.
I agree, and the Hotel is basically his Safe Haven, his comfort. He doesn’t want to admit it but, he wants help... Shows that we all have Demons inside us. Every one of us.
Exactly. That's why this song is so powerful for many abuse and addiction survivors like myself because it shows both the pros and cons of living in such an unstable powerless dichotomy. Sometimes the addiction is the escape from abuse, and other times it is being forced into lopsided power dynamics out of necessity, being addicted to the hope of a light at the end of the tunnel. I think that's why I keep crying with every play through, not only is it an anthem to those stuck in self-made pits struggling to stay alive, it gives that advice and hope of completely breaking away from the abusive cycle and finding support to realize your full potential in safety from abusers. This was a fan-made song that Vivziepop decided to turn into a full blown professional track and music video, how amazing is that? This song made me decide to become a financial supporter of their work.

Hazbin Hotel’s characters seem simple yet have a huge and interesting backstory. Especially Angel Dust. That’s honestly why I love HH, it’s the characters and story that make up the episode.
Just want to say you gave an amazing reaction and input!! most of the reactions I’ve seen just took it at face value because they don’t expect anything real from a character like Angel but that makes it all the more real it’s possible to have a bubbly or strong personality and still be battling trauma.
Probably what he was taking about in Hazbin Hotel pilot was to be nice and help her against the other demon because Cherri supported him when he was so bad as in the bed shots we saw in this video. She was the only who was on his side.
There a couple of things that you missed that I’m not sure others have brought up yet, first of all Cherri is blowing up signs advertising Valentino so she may be trying to launch a campaign to help Angel and the entire drugs thing may have been based on the fact that he was an Italian gangster in life in new York where his family probably dealt in drugs.
A Mob Family That Dealt In Drugs? Did Angel's Family Not Know That Isn't Allowed in The Italian Mob. Which Brings Me To Conclusion That The Rest Of His Family Mainly his Dad & Brother Might've Been Wacked For Dealing Drugs & Another Family Might've Gotten Permission From The Don To Wack Them. Dealing With Drugs Has Never Been A Good Idea For a Mobster There's Always Someone Getting Betrayed Or There's a Rat. If You've Seen Any Gangster Movie That Brings Up What Happens To Mobsters That Deal in Drugs You Know What Happens To Them Here's a Sentence For Ya Joe Pesci's Death in Goodfellas. That's What Happens to Them
Here’s something u missed in the background of the club when they’re exiting it says “it was all a dream” maybe one of them dreamt this up Edit: the smoke is the same color Valentino has in the beginning too and the cigarette is in the shape of a heart maybe showing how he wants to escape Valentino
I already adored Cherri Bomb, cause I love badass women, but this song just further cemented her in my heart. She's blowing up Valentino's stuff and supporting Angel Dust. A friend will comfort you when the going gets tough. But a best friend will blow up the world for you.
I watched like 34 reactions of this video, and your is the best. I'm glad that someone taking this video emotionaly and with a lot of respect for animators. You are great, bro
This song was made by SilvaHound! He made a fan song called "ADDICT" and Viv saw this, and she made an animation for this!I mean it was a real good song so she made an animation of it! oh and that animation has backstory about Angel and stuff!
Cherri bomb was going after Valentino’s business to trying and get Angledust away from Valentino ,who raped Angle, because she doesn’t want another person close to her going down that path again. Angle is a spider and his pet pigs name is fat nugget. Valentino is a moth. He is also Angles boss/pimp and is a mafia boss . Also there’s a comic on the hazbin hotel website that tells the story of how Angle met Charlie.
This is something I actually really like, but I dont think many other people do. Pausing to say things about the scene, and taking it in. People rarely do that but GOD I love it, seeing someone actually completely interested in the story is really cool to me! However a lot of times to people is annoying, maybe something like you could do things at the end of the video specifically with like hazbin hotel you go back to pause and talk about the scenes? Also, fun thing, just specifically just for fun, not to be a video, but some hazbin hotel characters have offical instagrams, you should look at those, not really any lore but there neat.
Travis, the guy from the start of hazbin, doesn't die in hazbin but the guy Angel Kicks is accually him. The pig is named fat Nuggets btw and he, cherri and his twin sister molly who he seems to have pretty good relationship with are about the only constants in his life. The relationship with his brother arackniss is unknown and his father henroin is most likely an asshole.
When angel dust deals with Valentino/The Pimp Bitch, he tosses the cigar which produces red smoke that valentino used angel with at the beginning. Could be unintentional, but when he puts out the cigar, it could be him symbolically revolting
The guy we see Cherri Bomb remembering was a scrapped character for another series Zoophobia who now is being repurposed for Hazbin Hotel. Aside from the name (Demon Hunter) we know nothing about them, but perhaps they and Cherri might be blood related as going by Angel Dust’s family, demons related by blood share a similar appearance (all of AD’s family bear spider-like traits).
Honestly, if I was forced to... do things... with the monster known as Valentino, I would resort to drugs too, probably why he went to the hotel in the first place. He didn’t want free room and board, he wants help.
Damn, you got a badass intro! Still here witch the sora no otoshimono poster in the back. I recently finally started the original dragon ball after 250 hours of xenoverse 2 got me all exited for it, so now I'm at episode 12. I also got fighterz on sale and have been enjoying that
To my understanding, Cherri wasn't bombing just some random building. Supposedly it's Valention's (Angel's pimp) district, probably as a revenge for hurting Angel. Also there was a sign that said "it was all a dream" When Angel and Cherri left the club and exploded it, Implying that exploding the club never happened but he dreams he could just destroy it all.
I feel bad for the person who actually made the song because nobody has given them credit for the song instead vivziepop has been getting all the credit when all they did was make an animated version of the song and they even gave credit to the person who Made the song addict
6:14 ... after what Val did.. i dont think Angel wanted to sleep alone... i think Cherri stayed with him so he would feel safe .. and to kill Val if he did show up
Look back at the club scene and look closely at angel dusts eyes in one scene its one normal eye and the other black, but when the camera points to the roof both of his eyes are normal along with the neon sign that says "it was all a dream" that can be seen as they run out of the club.
I find it really cool how before the first chorus the red drug smoke stuff is almost like shackles on angel dust before he breathes it in, showing how captive he is in his addiction.
An addition to Angel dust's lore is that, theres some info where Angel dust was based off of the creators past filled with her hardships which is kinda dark and sad.
Here's something else you missed - When Angel and Cherri Were running to the door to leave the "Stripe Clup" there was a little sign on the wall saying "It was all a Dream" and it's true that part where they blew up the "Stripe Clup" was a dream.
Love your reaction and feedback on the video! A lot of youtuber's don't react much when "reacting" to videos, but you give great input and point things out. 👍
The characters can’t die- but the guy who we saw in the beginning of the pilot is Travis. He was trying to climb onto the stage, so angel kicked him in le face. Uh- he was the quick cash grab
One part you missed is the possible hint for Cherri Bomb's death in the first part of her section. It's a possible that she was killed by a bomb during a turf war which would explain the "death rains from above" part.
Had this pointed out to me, but at the 4:00-4:01 point in the video, there is a sign on the wall of the club that says "It was all a dream", implying the scene where they blew up the club was just a dream, them dreaming of getting back at the people who have hurt them.
It’s normal for Pimps to treat their workers like that if they misbehave or disrespect, etc. What Valentino is doing here is unnecessary and only doing it for his entertainment, pleasure, etc. In the beginning of Hazbin Hotel, with Angel, he gave his “services” to a guy he wasn’t supposed to. My theory is that he is sold to different people for money. Cherri bomb is his bestie, you can see while walking out Club 666, Angel Dust is holding her shoulder, showing that he does care about her. She also blows up a billboard of Valentino, probably trying to run his business into the ground to save Angel from him. Angel Dust’s pig is called Fat Nuggets. My theory is that Fat Nuggets is a service pet to help Angel through his situation. My theory for Angel pushing Charlie away is that he doesn’t really trust Charlie that much, think that she’ll hurt him, maybe because of a past memory that hurt him too, and Cherri was there to comfort him. Angel only really trusts Cherri because he was there to comfort him through his hard times. And yes, as much I hate to say, I believe Valentino raped Angel Dust, therefore he doesn’t feel so comfortable around him. Any who, thanks for reading good chad and may you have a blessing rest of your 24 hours!
If you rewatch Hazbin Hotel and pause in the opening when it shows the porn studio, you can see the assaulter texting Angel and Angel trying to make up an excuse to avoid him. And the reason he's a "porn star" if you notice the name of his video is called "well, ok". It's the little details mixed in that makes the series amazing.
in my personal opinion, i would watch it all without pausing first and _then_ go back to look through stuff. It just helps you get into it better and speculate a little before you have a review
So what's going on here is somewhere around the time of the pilot. This isn't just backstory. This is the present. Angel died of a PC overdose irl, but that's not why the song is necessarily called Addict. Because we don't know this for sure, we can only theorize, but a lot of people are guessing that Valentino, the dude with the heart glasses and Angel's very abusive, physically and sexually, pimp, can create a very addictive drug, something Angel may be addicted to, which would explain why he still works for him. It's also known that Angel loves being a stripper, he's "addicted" to the attention he gets from it. He just hates what Val does to him. Valentino is a special kind of demon called an Overlord, very powerful demons who can wreck your shit (Alastor is another Overlord, for example). Val runs the porn industry in hell. This is important throughout the video because we see Cherri blowing up various porn related things, clubs, billboards, etc. Basically, Cherri, who is not by any means an Overlord, is taking on someone who is at the very least somewhat equal to Alastor in strength, all to help out her best friend Angel. On Cherri's side of things, that guy we see both in the puddle and when she says, "Your money and power," we can more than likely assume to be her deadbeat, controlling father. Cherri was an anarchist in the 80s, and she's "addicted" to the freedom to raise hell that she has now, due to the lack of controlling paternal figure and general lack of authority.
This is the mantra this is my life When I saw his face in that shot I didn't see him smiling all I saw was the sadness in his eyes and the bags under them
Before they blew the whole place, you may notice "it was all a dream", at the right side of the wall. And it was, actually, Valentino's club is still functional :(
Watched a few of your videos recently to see if I wanted to sub. When you said "I don't want to pause too much", I respectfully disagree. I watch reactions not for the video (i can watch it on the uploader's chanel) but for the reactor's thoughts. I like when you pause and give your thoughts and would actually like if you paused and explained more about possible theories, thoughts on what you're watching, ect. But that's just me. Have my sub.
you don't go to Hell to have fun! there's a reason it's called Hell, it's because it's Hell. the end of end. in this place, lose hope and despair. this is it, you can't lose more, you're in the deep end and it's too late to go back up. so you just sink deeper and deeper...
All it took was 2 quick clips, less than half a second long each, for the entire fandom to develop a rabid hatred for Valentino. With good reason too, obviously, but it also goes to show just how great the story-telling in this series is. Like at the end there when Angel Dust flips off Charlie. It's the first time we've really seen Angel Dust react negatively towards anyone, as usually their personality is more flippant - probably as a defense mechanism, as many people use humor, especially dark humor, in order to deal with trauma. The out-of-character response seems to be solely due to Charlie coming up behind them and touching them. Given what was revealed in the mirror, it would explain why Angel Dust wouldn't react well to someone approaching them from behind and unexpectedly touching them.
One thing you might not have caught is that Cherri is actually not just blowing up random things but she's actually targeting things and places that belong to Valentino, Angel's boss and pimp, most likely as a means of revenge for hurting her best friend. This... might be what he meant, her blowing up his bosses club to help him get out.
Its just a dream tho they cant really do it tho cause val. Has alot of power
Probably what he was taking about in Hazbin Hotel pilot was to be nice and help her against the other demon because Cherri supported him when he was so bad as in the bed shots we saw in this video. She was the only who was on his side.
Steven: (points out that the video he's reacting to is for mature audiences only)
UA-cam: This is a good time to cut to commercial.
Holy crap you EXPLAIN your reactions *AND* give background!! Good stuff 💪🏾❤️
Edit: *_Just subbed_*
The fact that he's a male spider that has a self destructive relationship with sex is a stroke of genius writing.
OHHHHHH SHIT
There a couple of things that you missed that I’m not sure others have brought up yet, first of all Cherri is blowing up signs advertising Valentino so she may be trying to launch a campaign to help Angel and the entire drugs thing may have been based on the fact that he was an Italian gangster in life in new York where his family probably dealt in drugs.
A Mob Family That Dealt In Drugs?
Did Angel's Family Not Know That Isn't Allowed in The Italian Mob.
Which Brings Me To Conclusion That The Rest Of His Family Mainly his Dad & Brother Might've Been Wacked For Dealing Drugs
& Another Family Might've Gotten Permission From The Don To Wack Them. Dealing With Drugs Has Never Been A Good Idea For a Mobster There's Always Someone Getting Betrayed Or There's a Rat.
If You've Seen Any Gangster Movie That Brings Up What Happens To Mobsters That Deal in Drugs You Know What Happens To Them
Here's a Sentence For Ya Joe Pesci's Death in Goodfellas. That's What Happens to Them
Thank you for reacting to this!! If you're wondering who the guy with Cherri Bomb is, I believe his name is Ziggy. He used to be named Demon Hunter.
I'm glad I wasnt only the only one we went "wait back up what did I just see?" when they flash Angel Dust in agony on the screen.
I was like wut
That was just Angel dust crying not in agony
Anyone gonna point out when he knocks the bottle over that the background people are laughing at him?
They're enjoying the show
Wait...VAT?!
Hey! There's an official Hazbin Hotel prequel comic you can read! Basically how Angel came to the hotel
Here’s something u missed in the background of the club when they’re exiting it says “it was all a dream” maybe one of them dreamt this up
Edit: the smoke is the same color Valentino has in the beginning too and the cigarette is in the shape of a heart maybe showing how he wants to escape Valentino
Did ananyone notice how the smoke were wrapped around angels wrists and neck can symbolise Angel being trapped by valentino.
I love the way angel says surrounded at the beginning
This has been the most insightful of all the reactions I've seen. Thank you for talking about more than the just the music.
U need more subscribers.. like.. i love the way u react to stuff u pay attention to almost every detail, spot on mate 👏👏👏
When angel dust deals with Valentino/The Pimp Bitch, he tosses the cigar which produces red smoke that valentino used angel with at the beginning. Could be unintentional, but when he puts out the cigar, it could be him symbolically revolting
Most in depth reaction I’ve seen. Nice work my guy 👍🏼
"Im gonna rewatch that one"
lol I felt that
Him: pauses Angel dust*
Angel dust: HELP I CAN'T BLINK AAAAAA
Them blowing up the club was actually just a dream Angel wishes. It was all just a nice thought, and you can tell by the signs in the bid
*vid
I feel bad for the person who actually made the song because nobody has given them credit for the song instead vivziepop has been getting all the credit when all they did was make an animated version of the song and they even gave credit to the person who
Made the song addict
6:14 ... after what Val did.. i dont think Angel wanted to sleep alone... i think Cherri stayed with him so he would feel safe .. and to kill Val if he did show up
Look back at the club scene and look closely at angel dusts eyes in one scene its one normal eye and the other black, but when the camera points to the roof both of his eyes are normal along with the neon sign that says "it was all a dream" that can be seen as they run out of the club.
There is a comic on the hazbin hotel website showing more if angel dusts back story. Please react to a comic dub or the comic itself
I love the transition from with the glasses
I find it really cool how before the first chorus the red drug smoke stuff is almost like shackles on angel dust before he breathes it in, showing how captive he is in his addiction.
An addition to Angel dust's lore is that, theres some info where Angel dust was based off of the creators past filled with her hardships which is kinda dark and sad.
“I’m not going to pause much.”
XD
Here's something else you missed - When Angel and Cherri Were running to the door to leave the "Stripe Clup" there was a little sign on the wall saying "It was all a Dream" and it's true that part where they blew up the "Stripe Clup" was a dream.
Timestap?
@@rain-he6wb 10:46 and then play another second
The guy Angel kicks in the beginning is Travis the John Angel sleeps with during the purge at the beginning of the Pilot
8:14 yes, you're correct. This music video is basically Tramau of Rape-for the angel dust part. Now that's all I know for now.
10:12 There are two prequel comics one about Alistair, the radio demon and one about Angel Dust.
Great video steven
Yeah it is certainly cool that they are doing back stories like this
the guy that Angel kicked is the same guy from the pilot, and his name is Travis.
The one who was with the bombs is Cherri Bomb, and she is great friends with Angel Dust
Great reaction loved the way you analyzed it I’m gonna sub and like
If you look closely you can see that Cherri is blowing up every adult sort of thing so that Angle can focus on redeeming himself at the hotel
Any who, thanks for reading good chad and may you have a blessing rest of your 24 hours!
this music video is between the timeline of the comics and pilot episode
You should read the comic on their website
The pink shades on Angel looked like the ones Elton John wore.
*Angel die with drug*
Angel in the hell : *Take drug again*
Me : Why
Now I understand what Angel meant when he said he owed Cherri a solid.
6:56 She is name is Cherri Bomb
Ella tiene nombre se llama Cherri Bomb
When Val blows his smoke towards Angel, it wraps around him like restraints to show Val's control over Angel.
Fun fact/
In the aquarium scene there is a blob fish and it’s been confirmed Angel likes blob fish
The guy who se$ually assulted angel was shown in the hazbin hotel pilot near the start.
This is the mantra
this is my life
When I saw his face in that shot I didn't see him smiling all I saw was the sadness in his eyes and the bags under them
Fun fact : when Angel was turning back from Charlie near the end, he flipped Charlie off with one of this hands
Before they blew the whole place, you may notice "it was all a dream", at the right side of the wall. And it was, actually, Valentino's club is still functional :(
don't know if you noticed and it might not be intentional but the cig angel threw was heart shaped
I like how you paused at times and notice things. I like your reaction. 😁
Theres a prequel comic to the first episode in its description
Watched a few of your videos recently to see if I wanted to sub. When you said "I don't want to pause too much", I respectfully disagree. I watch reactions not for the video (i can watch it on the uploader's chanel) but for the reactor's thoughts. I like when you pause and give your thoughts and would actually like if you paused and explained more about possible theories, thoughts on what you're watching, ect. But that's just me. Have my sub.
There is a comic on there website that tells you more about him
Angel's soul belongs to Valentino, that's why he can't leave and that explains the chains of smoke surrounding Angel in the beginning
the dude with the heart glasses is name valentino and he is Angel Dust boss and Cherri bombay was blowing up his disstrict to try to help Angel
So detail reaction👍👍
I've known the song for a while but MAN the video is so dark
No they are not the same person. The guy who drove off never died
He's mistaking him for the Crow dude that stole Angels drugs then got crushed by a rock
@@brothersgt.grauwolff6716 exactly. Its and honest mistake though.
you don't go to Hell to have fun! there's a reason it's called Hell, it's because it's Hell. the end of end. in this place, lose hope and despair. this is it, you can't lose more, you're in the deep end and it's too late to go back up. so you just sink deeper and deeper...
I learned this from watching a animation angel's dad watched him die when angel was screaming "call 911 it hurts to breath" dis some messed up stuff
Celebrity Edit omg really??? What comic is that?
4:27 - Steven Z KILLER "I'm not gonna pause too much."
*14 seconds later. Pauses the video... multiple times.*
