Nataly’s Corner features music from Producer Paul Hardcastle’s new release “The Collection by Maxine Hardcastle. Put it aside that this is just another group of Paul’s tracks and keep an open mind about this project. The truth of the matter is that Maxine Hardcastle has been a vocalist on her Dad’s compositions since she was a child...and you can’t ignore the vibes, the beauty or intensity in her voice when you hear these tracks…and if this is not enough for you, there’s a few more (in this Collection) such as “Fireflies”, “Stay in the Moment”, “Different Kind of Love”; “Look to the Future” and other favorites. Let’s go beyond the focus of what’s covered in this collection…and instead think about what’s missing, and should be added, because you just can’t help becoming a fan of this songbird just as you are a fan of Paul’s when you hear her accompaniment vocals on the Hardcastle music projects. Beautifully chilled songs like “Love is the Power”, “Rhythm of Life Chill”, “Crystal Whisper”, and “Slippin’ Away” are just a few of the other tracks dominated by her smooth vocals. By the way, I’m going to forgive Paul for not including “It’s Not Impossible” in this collection.
Maxine Hardcastle is an accomplished and highly requested Resident DJ performer and has worked with some notable musicians and music producers (such as Darren Rahn, who is the saxophonist on the track “Speechless”). An experienced remixer, she has written and mixed for some prestigious labels. She’s been under her father’s “wings” on his music but now that Maxine has become an accomplished singer, in her own right, Paul wants to expand on her music credits. For all we know, she may have very well written a few of the tunes we’re hearing on Paul’s projects. So, after listening, if you’re not sure what Paul and Maxine are up to by releasing this collection…stay tuned. The Collection by Maxine could be the start of a new direction for her…like perhaps an album of her own songwriting. As an advocate of #WomeninMusic…I’m anxious for that and keeping my fingers crossed.

I reflect back when Natalie's Corner first introduced me to this song "Chrystal Whispers". And how foolish I felt not realizing this was the same guy who did 19 & Rain Forest. And as Natalie introduced me to an avalanche of all that is PH, I was captivated with this these female vocalists, one which was Helen Rogers. Thank you Nataly, I've always loved Maxine and her voice. Even though this is a collection of work with her dad. I had emailed her one day and asked her if she was gonna release a full album with her dad producing the tracks. "Was It Love" "Smooth Jazz Is Bumpin'" and "Where Are You Now" got me hooked onto her. Maxine then told me about the new tracks that she did with her dad on "Hardcastle VIII" and I checked it out. But i'm still holdin out for the day she does a full album of her own material. Thank you again for posting this!!!!!!!!

We'd all like to see her go in the direction of her releasing a collection of her own songwriting, but I'm happy to see them pool some of the best songs with her voice on them from her Dad's music. And then there are so many other tracks that Maxine has recorded with other artists, like "Speechless" that I bet some folks did not know about.
