I love Ann Taylor!! What is it about her? She is so down to earth. The way she speaks isn’t arrogant or overtly persuasive, it just sounds like her way is the obvious way. She seems very experienced and she has prepared both the court and the prosecution to grant her space. No extreme emotions, just leadership. I think BK is guilty from what we’ve seen so far, but I’m going to enjoy watching her at work.

It's the same judge. I have very high hopes for it being televised. 🫰 I want to see what happens with Baldwin of course, but I'm also very interested to see what happens with Dave Halls. I'm interested to see if he lies again about who handed Alec the gun. When he lied in Hannah's trial EDB said that sense it didn't pertain so much to Hannah as it did to Baldwin that the da would leave his plea deal alone. She said it would be much different if he lied again in the Baldwin trial. I don't think he should have been allowed to lie, given that it had so much litigious ramifications. It doesn't sit right with me that he got a sweetheart deal, him and Seth Kenny guided the investigation with a strong hand, and Dave was allowed to lie on the stand to save himself from lawsuit culpability. I still think that the bullets came in from Seth Kenny. I am really blown away that it wasn't brought up more in court that Thell, and Seth were good friends. I am surprised that he wasn't subpoenaed, and asked point-blank if he gave the ammo to Seth. I think that the search of Seth's home show me that that place was torn apart. As to why is anyone's guess . My guess would be looking for ammo that he knew he had that tied him to Thell. That's just his security system my arse!😡

June 02, 2025 has been set for Kohberger Trial in Idaho University Case.
The case has nothing to do with the university.
@JeffSherlock I disagree. Moscow Idaho and its student population have everything to do with the university. 4 students were viciously murdered while attending the university of idaho and living within the town of Moscow, Idaho.

Unfortunately the family wants the truth to come out. There's been a lot of weird shenanigans the prosecution has pulled in this case as well and family members have been silenced

I think you are correct about Read not getting as much attention untill closer to the end. The Daybell case was going on at the time and it kind of took over.

Attorney, my biggest fear is that should Bryan be found innocent, without reservations, that means the killers would have been free yet another year since 11.22.
Do you believe there is a behind the scenes investigation going on to find the real suspects should Bryan go free?
Yes there is an ongoing Federal investigation going on behind the scenes!! Go back and listen to the last 2 hearings in May of this year!! The prosecution talks about it and the Defense does too Elisa Masoth and Ann Taylor

If you have heard the substance of the pretrial hearings you should already be exempt. You know about things that might be excluded from evidence…
Unless you lie…which you kind of seem like you might. I certainly hope you don’t. It is a perversion of the justice system to lie to get on a jury.
@@sallycinnamon5370they mean "juror", ie for the purposes of watching the trial with as little knowledge as possible, as if one were a juror.

I can’t believe the change of venue is even up for debate. Policing of this crime and the interconnectedness of Stakeholders like Uof I and MPD require this case to be heard further away. Emotion and connections will be more likely in Moscow. Move the trial.

Definitely, this case is huge compared to Karen Read case. Many people in CT don't know Karen Read but everyone know the Kohberger case. I have a college kid so this is scary.

As someone not sitting in jail waiting for trial but as an interested observer, it seems an awfully long time. Imagine being unconvicted and in jail waiting on this....

I understand wanting the discovery and being pissed about that. What I don’t understand is not wanting a trial date.
Shouldn’t you want a date to be able to put hard deadlines on discovery? Like in Vallow-Daybell. They got the death penalty off the table because of discovery violations. In other cases evidence has been excluded because of late disclosure.
Seems like everyone is making it easy for The prosecution to take their sweet time instead of holding them to their burden in a timely fashion

He waived his right to a speedy trial, that is a risk he took when he weighed his options to give his attorney a chance to put his defense together. I think he would have been convicted if he had not waived his right to speedy trial. He made the right decision.
I’m not saying I think he’s going to be found not guilty because he waived the right to a speedy trial, and this prosecutor isn’t Lindsey Blake. She is a rockstar. I plan on waiting for the trial to see the evidence from both sides. My parents live in Moscow. This case is really close to home for me and I don’t want an innocent person to go to prison, but … I have questions that I want answered during the trial.

Good morning, Peter! I hope we'll get into the Sandra Birchmore case. Now that they've changed the manner of death to homicide, as per Michael Baden, the case should start unraveling shortly. So many people are aware of her case because of the Karen Read case. She and her baby deserve justice 💔

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but here goes: how is Anne supposed to present something for mitigation when she has said he's innocent?
Mitigation experts are brought on no matter what in cases like this. It would be a terrible choice not to hire one because no matter how solid they think their case is, the client is facing the DP. Ms. Taylor wouldn't be doing her job if she didn't hire one. The mitigation expert conducts their own "investigation" of sorts into the person's background to look for things that could be used at a sentencing hearing. For example, if Mr. Kohberger had several concussions, there was a family history of mental illness, etc. they could put those things together to make a case for the court to reconsider choosing the harshest penalty in the event that he gets a guilty verdict.

@@meanie4666 No problem at all! There are a lot of steps involved in cases so it's hard to keep track of the details.
I honestly think a change of venue is a good idea. Kootenai County perhaps, in Coeur D’Alene would be better. It’s still relatively close but it has a larger population than Latah County.
I have family (my parents) right outside of Moscow. Moscow is a small college town. Somewhat rural and quiet except for the campus. A quadruple murder shook the residents. The press invading the small town made it seem surreal for a while.
The girls all lived and graduated high school in Kootenai County. They were from Post Falls, CDA and Rathdrum and had large memorial services here. There is probably as much anger here as in Moscow. Good for the prosecution, not so much for the defense.
@@michaelwoods1747 Good point. I was just thinking of a larger jury pool and the logistics for the judge, prosecutions and defense teams. There are so many people involved behind the scenes that make a trial happen.

@@joann5075 that's what my 99% accurate gut tells me but I am waiting for the evidence. The things I suspected right away are slowly creeping out but there's no way for me to validate. Destroying the building heightened my doubt.

I live in Moscow Idaho. If the trial is here in Latah County I think it will take them a long time to seat a jury. Lots of people in the county do know about the case. There are also a lot of people in our county who probably wouldn't be able to serve on a death sentance case. From my experience living in this county (as well as several other in Idaho) I think there are more people who are morally opposed to the death penalty than your average Idaho county.

Hi Peter, any chance you could give your opinion on Howard Blum’s new book about this case, I didn’t think he would be allowed publish a book like this before the trial. Do you think this book will contaminate a jury pool? Many thanks from Ireland

From what I understand, the book is based on the information in the probable cause affidavit. The prosecution has said that the information in the PCA is not factual and therefore not relevant 🤷🏻♀️. The gag order prevents any information except the PCA from being disclosed.
I have listened to an interview that was done about the book and the way everyone was talking it seemed like they had factual evidence to suggest that Kohbergers family might have known or had suspicions about him. It was the way it was portrayed that made me think this couldn’t be right. I haven’t read the book but I was very concerned after hearing that interview.
The Kohberger case is definitely more wellknown

It's so hit or miss. I remember the Jodi Arias trial, it had the best audio and visual quality I'd ever seen😊
