This is amazing, it's hard to find words to express, but what a moment to watch all of these original musicians at the same time: the real Allan Parsons Project, only Eric Woolfson is not there. Many thanks for sharing!
Not so much IN the band as just with them. The actual 'band' was simply Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson. Brooker sang Limelight on the Stereotomy album. The touring band has had a rotating crew of artists, and every album with Parson's name on it since Freudiana has been without Eric's involvement.
@@Chordonblue exacto.
Thank you David Paton. This video lends a rare glimpse into the make-up that was the Alan Parsons Project. I've been recently searching for video footage that revealed the inner workings of the Project. Especially songs sung by David Paton. I'm not sure we will ever see a better cast of outsatanding musicians assembled. This is a pure platinum video. Thanks again David Paton!
Cameras are such a magical device. We question history because there are only someone's words to believe and have faith in but the camera's like looking in the mirror. How ever you look in the mirror, it always see's the truth. It's always truth. You can't have a degree or two off. What awesome music.
This concert was made just days before the official dissolution of the band, just days before Eric Woolfson and Alan Parsons separated, after 15 years making music together, the separation was decided, it was just a matter of time, Eric let Alan and the rest of the band have their first and only concert before the dissolution, the fact that Eric Woolfson wasn't in the concert one single time proves it.
Eric Woolfson didn't want his music to be played live let alone tour. It wasn't until 1995 that Alan Parsons was persuaded by Ian Bairnson and Stuart Elliott to play live
So they regrouped for one last performance? Most bands that do still have the original musicians and singers will sometimes regroup for an entire tour even if it isn't a long tour.
Wonderful. The original band were the best. Now it's not the same. Such a shame Alan went to the States. I hate hearing Eric's songs with that awful American accent. Disgraceful. Love you, Eric, maestro. The heart and soul of the APP.
It's also a shame that many of the original members have passed away I also found it quite interesting that they were unappreciated in their own country and now some British people want to claim them as their own
Wow. Hate us Americans that bad? Well here’s some news. People with accents actually sing with an American accent. Example Bee Gees. Abba. All the Beatles. I can go on. They lose accent when they sing.

Absolutely loved Old and Wise, From the Great very Underrated Colin Bludstone. Such a Beautiful song. Loved The Alan Parsons Project in the 1970s.
REAL MUSICIANS hands down!!!!
I really didn't know that the late great Gary Brooker was in the original band. RIP. Thanks for this, David Paton, love your music!

Such a great video!!! So nice to have a better insight to the musicians that gave live to the Project tunes we all and love!

Best. Band. EVER.

In my own opinion there best song is Time 💖 amongst Many Other Great Songs from their History !!! RIP Eric 😢
Wow.... something unexpected, a real insight.
I can feel the essence of the band.
Stewart Elliott, Richard Cottle, and Laurence Cottle playing the old standard "Cute" at the 6:45 mark.
Well spotted! ua-cam.com/video/Nb5jDWROk5k/v-deo.html

Sorry, that those original musicians of the APP albumes, records, never more had the opportunity to play live due legal issues.
thanks for this...
RIP Gary and Ian
so come on , do the reunion for gods shake!
Thank you so much for this, that pure gold archives. It's so awesome to be able to see that. I'm really curious where did you get this ?
Richard is so cute! and Dave too...
Wow!
❤❤❤
Laurence plays a dream bass!!
One of them pulled a scene straight out of A GOOFY MOVIE where Max and his father sneak into the Powerline concert by way of the instrament cases
Please tell me, why didn't they do this more than once?
8:30 I'm picturing the Wonder Wheel in Coney Islanf.

It was the Night of the Proms, so with orchestra, and pretty much the beginning of them trying live performances
This looks more like some kind of circus! Monty Python copy cats at work?

Concuerdo contigo
Sadly I had to agree with you: these musicians are far better than the actual ones.

What original members? Who sang on "Old and Wise", originally?
Hola, alguien sabe cómo se llama el primer tema que suena en este video?
Lime light

"The original musicians and singers" you say. Is that really true? Nah.
Who sang on "Old and Wise"?
