@@Jrsinnovation honestly still trying to figure out how to use both of them at the same time. It seems to recognize just one. What settings could I adjust? thanks
Great video. Can either app display runs or just whole note chords? I'm planning to make some scale tutorial videos and want a visual representation on screen (consecutive 8th or 16th notes).
Thank you for this video I use chordie app so I wanted to know which software did you use to record your screen as you where explaining everything? I have tried using chordie in obs to record but I’m having delay issues 😢😢😢 Please help
had to post another comment. Midiculous can show the alternative chords. right click on the chord display and there is an option to show the alternative chords.
@@musicmankeyz thank you so much. I have been using Midiculous for almost 3 years but didn't know that it can show the alternative chords like chordieapp.
Chordie there is no sounds or VST in the plug-in itself. You can always open a second plug In to use it simultaneously that has sounds like kontakt. Midiculous comes with some sounds and you can use VST. I hope this answers your question.
@@Jrsinnovation Yes, thankyou. Surprizing difficult decision. The fact that Chordie "calls home" every time you open it turned me off. Thanks, it really was a helpful video.
Midiculous wins because you can play a VST through it. You cannot to that with Chordie. Additionally, the jerk who made Chordie only includes one license with the purchase price. If you have it on your workstation, you cannot install it on your laptop. Midiculous includes at least 3 licenses.
Hi. I’m an old professional What app can memorize what I’m playing , while also easily revealing the notes? Not a mere recorder, because the voicings I’m playing are so to speak , a mystery to me! So I need the voicings readily available . Not a MIDI list of events , as found in a sequencer .. but more like chordie, where I see the notes on a keyboard - hopefully . Thank you
Thanks for this video. I'm searching for such kind of software. Two questions: Is Midiculous pro available for windows 10 (i only see a free 32 bits free version for windows. second question: With Chordie, can you use a soundsource like kontakt for you pianosound? ( in know midiculous does).
Yes. Midiculous is available for windows. If you go to gospelmusicians.com you can check it there. For the Chordie question, you cannot use sound source inside of software but you are able to open 2 software the same time and use it simultaneously. Please don’t forget to subscribe to my channel.
min 7:08 chordie writes the wrong key signatures for Bm11. midiculous is right with all the sharps. min 7:11 midiculous is right and chordie mixes up b's and #'s. chordie is all over the place and impossible to read. wait: min 5:01 both apps are wrong cause the dont know the key of Abm so the mix up b's and '#'s for the Abm11. so if u play an Fm9 for ex there shouldnt be any sharps at all. the apps are not intelligent enough i think
Great comparison. I just bought both, I will use them together, thanks, great video!
Thank you
How can you use both together? When I try I only can use one.
@@Desi-derio usually the both softwares automatically recognizes the midi keyboard. Maybe it’s a setting. See if the keyboard name is on midi settings
@@Jrsinnovation thanks, will do

Damn, these are both fantastic. So it may come down to price. But you never tell us if can assign a VST to Chordie. What sounds do each use???

you can open your DAW and Chordie simultaneously. problem solved :)
@@maxiplayer123 Not on Windows... unless you use Loop Midi (or you have a midi device with USB to host and 5 pin standard MIDI) Problem NOT solved.
Hey, Chordwatch is similar app but 1 license for all platforms and even comes bundled with virtual midi driver :) (Dev here)
Thank U. My midicilous pro cannot play New instruments, it cannot scan New plug-in...Can you help me please ?

@@Jrsinnovation Pianoteq will display chord names and will record midi and keyboard concurrent with playing.
GarageBand can do this!
Does anyone know how to get rid of the tablature and leave only the staff and the piano roll? Thanks!
You go to the top part that says fretboard and click fretboard preferences, and try en click enable fretboard module off (so it’s not blue but grey)

how do you manage to use both programs with only one midi at the same time?
When you open both programs they automatically recognize your midi keyboard
does chordie show the sustain pedals?
No it does not
Please sir I love what you are teaching. How do I get the Midiculous 4.0
Could you please share a link
Here is the link

Do you know why it always has issues recalling midi files? (Midiculous)
I never had any issues with that. So I don’t know.
Can the pedals be hidden?
Yes on both of them
You don't even have to have the guitar fretboard showing.
Hey please!
How can I get the midiculous?
