This session has been a lovely experience for us to make us aware of small and easy moves which can help us to have an upright posture as well as clear breathing too. Thank you David for giving us the opportunity to listen and participate in the movement.
Thank you, so glad to hear you find the lesson helpful. Hope you get to try the rest of the lessons in this series. You can find them here: www.feldenkraisaccess.com/posture-life. Please feel free to send us any questions you might have. And hope your collarbone is healing well.
I love this lesson. It takes commitment to do the full hour's lesson, but it really, really helps one stand taller, and not stoop forward when walking. And to be fully conscious of when that begins to happen. I'm recommending these lessons to anyone who will listen!!! They are helping me in so many ways where other modalities have touched the surface but not had lasting benefit. I am so very grateful to have found you.
That is excellent, Kate!! So very glad that you are getting the profound benefits which we are ALL capable of, and which are our human inheritance. Keep it up!
vraiment Merci beaucoup de Paris , (FK pract. my training was with Myriam in 2000 ) I just love it ,I feel very much the soul from Moshe in you ,thanks a lot for spreading this out ,now where it is more than ever a must to become AWARE Greetings from Versailles
Amazing to feel the difference after each movement!! You explanation is very clear. How often should I do the exersices? Thank you for very much for this lesson! Astrid Wolf
Thank you once more! I realized when I finished and walked, that my left leg tends to turn into. from de tush to the knees I could feel in turns to right, rotates. And now my left leg seems "without" positions, without a "center", little tumbling, and my knees feel tide, straight, super weird. Should I just observe it?
Yes. The benefits and improvements we get from doing a Feldenkrais lesson come from our capacity to sense and feel differences, our kinesthetic awareness. This skill will develop overtime, and noticing how you feel walking, after the lesson, is an important part of developing your kinesthetic awareness. Keep us the good work!
Hi David, I loved this lesson. So tell me, I will not be able to join live. Can I just purchase the set of lessons as I did with posture 101? Thank you
Yes, Ana, if you are interested in purchasing Posture for Life, please visit us at www.feldenkraisaccess.com/posture-life for access to the entire series, available for streaming or download.
You say the pause is important to eliminate the repetitiveness factor. However what about dynamic system oscillation aspects of the body. I’ve read in rywerants feldenkrais book that it is also legitimate approach because the oscillation of some body part brings awareness to how we can let the natural dynamics of the tissues continue the movements. Like how a kangaroo uses 80% of the force from the previous hop to propel the next hop, efficiently basically. Can you comment on this? Thanks.
Yes, that is very true! Oscillation movements are often a significant aspect to doing a Feldenkrais Lesson. They do not, however, mean that we shouldn't pause. We still pause, after repeating a movement, or a series of movements, in our for our nervous system to process the important information we have generated through movement. And then we begin the next movement, or series of movements, fresh, as if for the first time. I hope this helped to clarify! Please write again if you have further questions
I am in a lot of pain in my lower back and right leg when I first lie down and get very restless and anxious. Any suggestions? I am planning to sign up to do all the lessons so would like to improve this.
Dear Kaye, This workshop could help a lot. But if you want to do lessons which are oriented toward working with anxiety, I recommend this one... www.feldenkraisaccess.com/stress-anxiety
