  • Hiking the Harding Icefield Trail is one of our favorite adventures in Alaska. Harding Icefield, is on of two trails in Kenai Fjords National Park of Seward Alaska.
    Trail guide:
This hike starts from the visitor's center of Kenai Fjords National Park and is a 3000 feet climb up. The trail is very straight forward and well marked (When we did this hike in the end of July)
The trail is rich in wildlife ( Bears, birds, Alpine flowers...)

This is a strenuous hike, for a shorter moderate version, check Exit Glacier Trail:

Nice video. Would you recommend this with a 2 years old baby in the month of May? How much time will it take approx?

There might still be snow in the month of May. You should check trail reports online and check with the park staff at their visitors centre.
If you have experience hiking with a baby, you can give it a try. At the very least, you can hike the first section of the trail. Getting to Marmot Meadow itself is a wonderful experience.
