Always good to have a big bag of licks handy you may not have thought of on your own. Good to know your scale in two octaves and triads as well then you can build licks off those also.
Hey Neal, Hope all all is well. I'm going to squeeze these in. Determined to learn a fancy version of Pachabel's Canon on the guitar. Not fun, taking tons of time, but I love that piece. Wishing you all the best! Song suggestion (challenge): Calico Skies - Paul McCartney. BTW I got a left-handed Eastman 315. It's so much better than my former instrument, which is now a $350 wall ornament.
Hey there, hope you’re doing well :) I’d not heard that McCartny song before. It has a lot going on and will certainly take some doing. I kind of like the idea of learning the Canon now that you mention it. Love those Eastmans! What did you have before?
I had an Ortega A shape. Very difficult to play. Couldn't do pull offs. I'm going to do Calico Skies on my 12 string. I started it before but never got proficient enough to sing it.
Fun licks Neal- especially when noodling around. Great for filing away in the old memory bank. As always, much appreciated!
Thanks bud - have a great day!
Just starting to learn the Mandolin and you have been such a great help. Thanks!
Hey thanks so much - sorry I didn’t see this before :) But thanks for checking out the channel and have a great day!

Hi Ginny - thanks so much as always! We’re on roughly the same latitude, so I hope you’ve had the same spectacular fall weather we’ve had :)
Always good things from you mate🎸🎼
Thanks so much - always great to hear from you! Have a great day in Bergen :)
Nice stuff

Thank you🙏
Thanks for checking it out :)

It certainly doesn’t sound like an easy song to tackle. I’ll bet that 315 is sweet!
Yes it is sweet. I got a lefty tone guard for it.
