This is nothing but insanely catchy. You kicked one hell of a funky beat into this song and the melody just vibes perfectly with it. All in all, real excellent work here; what a funky and fresh sound. Merely giving this a like is not enough, this gets a love from me. Kid me would have be totally stoked when first joining the Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles carts, getting to FBZ and this to have been the music that I got to experience. I never cared much for the original FBZ music but this? I'm thrilled and excited.

Especially fitting given that’s Mania’s miniboss theme, and that S3&K’s miniboss theme has a section that’s near-identical to the original Flying Battery. To me though, this overall feels a lot more like a Megaman X track than a Sonic one. Especially the part starting around 0:40, which really sounds like it could be straight out of the climax of MMX1’s Spark Mandrill (and that’s not a bad thing by any means).

Throwing in some hints to the Sonic OVA and Look-A-Like REALLY makes this a high-energy track appropriate for the Flying Battery. Amazing job!
