The guys are then joined by Shawn Thornton to talk about his book, his career, and the time he met RA. The guys wrap up talking about the Chiclets Cup, Marner or Nylander, and the Hall of Fame.

@@brandonjohnson8966 that makes sense , can't blame him - Name me a GM that is going to let his captain ( or any player really ) play in a ball hockey tournament during the season - can you imagine if he did and got hurt ? they have to understand that.. I doubt you will get many red wings on spitting chicklets while Yzerman is GM it is just not the way he rolls.

i have not seen them but i will take your word for it - that is another problem with the no- fighting generation . In the old days - that would be disciplined on the ice. If he is slew footing guys -i hope he gets it together before he ends someone's career. It is not at all uncommon for skilled D- men - when they get older and they start losing that skill they get very dirty - i could go thru a list of them but plenty of you know who they are.

Every time I see Thornton I think of the car wash he gave Subban. He's chuckling about it; huge smile. Refs look at the Bs bench and he instantly drops the smile. They turn away and he's got that huge grin back. The clip of it shows it perfectly.

The fact that I couldn’t watch the Detroit Red Wings from Waterford Michigan when they played in Dallas, is INSANE. I HAD to buy espn+. I don't think it was why he did it - but at least Torts admits that the game is totally different in the playoffs - That is the real problem it makes no sense to play 82 games - to qualify and seed the playoffs - only to play an entirely different game - I know how it happens and has for ever - but i look forward to the day when the NHL is not dominated by GMs ' of inferior teams. That effect the rules to favor their less - than talented teams. Any other sport - would try and make it the playoffs a venue to let their best players shine and show their best not impede them.
