Wow! No big R, no swedge, no pinches on the bolsters. Way to go, SMKW!
Remember a little while back, you mentioned they should make a moon glow camp knife. That would be awesome!! Thanks Tobias for another great review 👍 ✌️
They 100% absolutely should make a camp/scout knife in moon-glow!
Very nice edition to the Glow line. My very first RR was their original Trapper in Glow. I still have it by the bedside.
So glad the left the swedges out, pretty well done knives. Glow seems in order, fit and finish is nicely done. Now only a fishknife to accompany it. Thank you for the review Tobias.
The slim profile and hollow grind both winners.
Didn't get bored or leave . Great knife . I ordered one while watching this along with the Queen stockman with the punch blade in winterbottom bone
I stayed to the end. I wasn't very interested in this series but now that you have me interested in large toothpicks I'm going to have to get this one. Have a good one.
Hello again Tobias. Rough Ryder Swedges usually take priority over nail nicks. I'm glad they forgot this time!
I really don't understand the need to put a swedge on everything.
Happy for you, your persistence has paid of.
Thanks. I’m pretty happy with it!
A lockback toothpick would be awesome!! Let's hope smkw was watching this video!
I was thinking the same about a lockback and white smooth bone.
I may pick this one up because I like the GLOW series.
I'm a cam tang action person myself on larger blades. A smooth cam tang action is hard to bet imo.
I want to know more about kitty's corner!
Well Tobias now RR are listening to you get them to do 4 inch for UK market. 😉
Just ordered two myself, they’ll be my first large toothpicks
I’m collecting the moon glow series. I wish they made an elephant toe / sunfish pattern.
Same here. They had the Zombie Nick which was in the sickly green but it didn't glow. So close.
Another really cool toothpick!!!
Thanks. I never get tired of them.
I need to get another one after my giveaway. It's pretty nice & who can resist a glow in the dark knife? I can't.
They can be the zombies in your Yellow Comp Collection!
@@KnifeChatswithTobias They could sneak past the YKM's entry requirements.
That is a very sweet looking knife. I was over on SMKW the other night and saw this one and the fish knife version. I am seriously thinking about getting the fish knife version. I see they now have other glow in the dark models as well. Thanks for the review bud. You have a wonderful weekend.
SMKW is such a cool company !
They do listen. They might not always make what you want, but they definitely listen to outside suggestions.
It would definitely make them easy to find at night if you drop one. Waiting for a scout pattern though.
Great knife . I'm going to have to get one .
Really nice, especially the big size and the 3 ring bolsters, thanks for the video, great shot there of the collection glowing.
Its a really fun series. I was able to get some good shots of the knives under a black light. Glad you like it.
I wish they'd go back exclusively to the horseshoe tang stamp and bolster stamp on all their knives. I don't like the RR tang stamp too much, but I despise the slant R bolster stamp they put on some of their knives. Looks too contemporary for a traditional style knife. Like singing rock/pop Christian music in a vintage 1800s church LOL.
I understand the changing of tang stamps to a degree but I too would like to see that horseshoe tang stamp become the standard. It remains my favorite.
@WilliamsKnifeLife had the GAW earlier today. I didn't win! Congrats to "Check Mate King 2 this is White Rook, Over!"
Nice looking knives! I'm liking this series!!!
These I really like, but my guess is that the likelihood of any of the UK retailers carrying them is negligible. It amazes me that there isn't already a white bone version because surely it's a standard, classic pattern?
I have been pestering them for a white smooth bone large toothpick for going on 15 years! I don't get it.
Dang it I just added it to the cart, LOL
It'll be worth the $13!
the only glow in the dark knife i have is a wichard rigging knife 3 blade, well one blade one spike and a shackle key
I have a Wichards. It seems to glow well for about an hour and then I can barely see it even if I hold it up to my face. It might be due to its age.
@@KnifeChatswithTobias same with mine.
Nice looking knife for the price, it looks like the shield uses the same black epoxy as the liners. That might cure the shield problem Rough Rider knives have sometimes. 🙂
Yeah, it does look like a black liner under the shield. Not too crazy about it but is fills the gap and doesn't shrink over time - and most importantly actually holds the shield in place, I'm cool with it! I'm really happy to see this one and really like the no frills approach.
