This is my favorite plane. I put rope leds on the bottom and wings for night flying. I put a cam on it for the 4th of july and recorded fireworks. And put paper streamers on it from the party store. I like to go really high to glide and see how fast I can fly 8ft from the ground. It does cool tricks too.
I've had one for about two (3?) years now. No one single outstanding feature but it seems to do everything well. I'd definitely get another one should I ever lose or crash beyond repair the one I have now.
Great video. I bought a Aero Scout a few years ago when it first came out and learned to fly with it. It is still fun to fly and is the plane I fly on really windy days and try to get it to hover or fly backwards. Its a great plane for beginners and experienced pilots
I just bought my very first RC plane ever… this Hobby Zone Aeroscout. I really love the beginner safe mode but have still had some rough front nose gear landings That have caused me to keep practicing and also make a custom made thin aluminum plate that I slide underneath the front landing gear to protect the front end from being damaged any further.. great beginner plane overall!
Wow didn't realize the whole shell & wings are Styrofoam! I think the Ranger really looks better. That is so great how it just looks for lift at stall speeds! Ryan: "Fly Upside Down!". Mike:"I've had the plane, in a box for two years.". Then he pulls a kamikaze dive, followed by a PERFECT touch landing. Poor Ryan looked like it was his baby LOL. And Lisa will probably be the best pilot out of all of you 😁YOU GUYS ARE GREAT.
Thanks Steve. Yes, all the planes I've shown on my channel are foam. Ryan will never admit the possibilities of other good trainers. He's been on about my maidening my aeroscout since I told him I had one sitting in a box lol. "IT'S THE BEST FLYING PLANE EVER" he's not wrong it's actually pretty good. The ranger is prettier. Thanks for watching Steve!
I just bought the Areroscout i got it up til a persons wife said watch out so i dove and unfortunately lost control couldn't recover so i took the worst, full nose dive to the ground just could save servos and propeller and motor, but it was kinda funny because of the dive, ground came up fast needless to say it destroyed, getting another one in couple weeks
I bought this plane about 6 weeks ago, while on vacation in Arizona. BRAND NEW to rc planes, never handled a transmitter, but read thru the manual and watched lotsa UA-cam vids. The Aeroscout flew SO.NICELY for me, a complete rookie. I "landed" it as you would expect a noob to land and all that happened were some scuff marks on the nose. Glad they designed the prop to be behind the wings!! No damage to anything essential Now I'm gonna spend several months with simulators so I'm better prepared when the weather is nice enough for me to fly it where I actually live.
Ok, its a nice plain to fly, but holly crap DO NOT have a hard landing. The front wheel housing is the week point. Be prepared to rebuild it. NOT MY TRAINER RECOMMENDED AIRCRAFT!!

That's sooo cool! I'm gonna have to get some LEDs too!

That's so cool. I'm happy you are enjoying the airplane! The skid plate is a great idea!!
Sweet EASY stick!🙂
Don't know why, but that one had me grinning ear to ear. Might just be one of those in my future. Thanks Mike.
Thanks for watching! They are a lot of fun! Glad we could make you smile!

It's all part of the hobby
man I cannot believe how fast I found my 2nd JDM in the wild which is the Miata from D case 😮
Best upgrade for the Aeroscout is the Master airscrew 6x3.2 tri blade thank me later👍🏽
Ok I'll look into that
Can it survive a light crash?
Yes and we will definitely find out when my wife flies it 😁
@@MikesHobbyPlanet Nice lol

Wow ,just sitting there since 2021?
Can you recommend this as a good slow flyer? Been looking at the slow ultra stick but this looks more robust.. your thoughts are appreciated
Yes I think so It is a very capable plane both fast and slow as well as aerobatic. I think you'll enjoy putzing around with it
@@MikesHobbyPlanet thanks bro 👍
