That Purple Heart is an amazing find. The Veteran Affairs Office could help you find the veteran or the Veteran’s family that the medal belongs to. As a veteran myself and the mom of three veterans I would hope that if someone found one of our medals; I would hope that whoever found it they would return it to us

That was probably a copper wedding band. People back then couldn’t afford gold
