Thanks Charlie, we thank Jerry's friend John for helping us create this week's video. We don't find many spots like that in the woods loaded with old coins. We truly appreciated you taking us out detecting with you and Joe. It was fun hanging out and chatting.
Thanks Randy, Jerry's friend John helped us out with using some of his footage from videos he had. The two videos worked out great together telling a story. Take care 🙂
@@PARelicHunters my next door neighbors father in law just found a 1793 Flowing Hair Large Cent. He also lives in Pynselvaia. He found it in his yard…lol.
Has to be the best video I have seen in a while. When it first started I thought I know that man. Of course seeing people out of context is baffling sometimes. It finally hit me, rattlesnakes and Leatherwood. Thank you so much for a wonderful 25 minutes.
That intro was amazing. Congratulations on the awesome finds. Those buttons are fabulous. Just imagine the history behind those. Blows my mind. Great jobs guys.
Thanks for watching, it really is exciting to find something over 200 years old. We're glad you enjoyed the story leading up to the finds. Take care and have a Happy Easter 🐣
Wowzers 👀! Kicking it up a notch. What a fantastic video. Loved the story of the pioneer from 221 years ago … he seemed so careful and methodical in his movements though, I don’t really believe he lost all that stuff … must’ve been the night he invited all his buddies over and the really partied it up. 💥
Awesome video! I could only imagine that intro being my GGGGrandfather making his way to western Pa to claim his land to start our lineage. He was awarded 240 acres for his service, and built a wonderful home that is actually still occupied. Thanks for the wonderful story!
Thanks Carol, we thank Jerry's friend John for helping us put this video together with his beautiful reenactment of the time period. We were all very excited to find coins over 200 years old.
The intro was very well done! Rich permission, fan-dang-tastic finds. Huge tombac, half cents on the half shell, dandy dandies, a real reale, a holed drape bust with a beautiful back, and all before the sun went down. Can’t wait until next week!😊
Thanks Janice for the kind words. It will be hard for us to top this video. We thank Jerry's friend John for helping us with the reenactment for the storyline
Man you guys knocked it out of the park. I loved the intro and you guys hammered the old coins. We don't have anything that old here. Seated liberty are the oldest I've found. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for watching, those were some of the oldest coins we found at a home site so far. We hope to discover more of these sites like this. Take care and Happy Hunting
Amazing finds those early coppers are great finds. It’s always great to find flat buttons and congrats on the piece of Spanish silver. Can’t wait to see what else comes out of that spot.
OUTSTANDING!!!! The lead in really hit close to home as my 6th Great Grandfather was deeded 165 acres for serving in the revolutionary war. Being a 8th generation PA boy I love anything to do with the history of the commonwealth. You guys have great adventures……Can’t wait to see part 2 !!!
Thanks Andrew, that's incredible you know you're family's history that far back. We hope to find more old sites like this but with Spring coming, the woods tend to grow in thick.
Guys Awesome Video!! Check out Chiggs way of cleaning the old copper coins. I know y'all are excited to show it in the field but letting it dry out some makes a real difference.

Very excellent video. Love the beginning of it with the story. Congrats to all your finds. What a small piece of a Reale. Very cool. Love the Coppers especially the Holed one. Always fun to find a Hold Coin. I've only found 2 Holed Coins and a couple of Tokens like that. 1869 Seated Dime 1896 Canadian Fish Scale. 5 Cent Piece. Beautiful Tombac and Dandy Buttons. Love the other ornate piece also. Take Care guys
Thanks Mike and Persis, I was shocked that Rich was able to identify the cut silver as a Reale. I only found one Draped bust before this, and it didn't have a date.
Nice video and awesome finds! The hardest thing to do with a copper coin, large or small, is to not field clean it. Just put it in your pocket or relic box or whatever. Let it dry completely before "cleaning" it. Then, when you do clean it, only use the rounded tip of a wooden toothpick, then a soft bristled toothbrush. Maybe gently rub it with your thumb. No liquid of any kind. Trying to clean it with water or other liquid instantly takes off the protective patina. And saliva is extremely acidic. Even the moisture in the dirt covering it when you first take it out of the ground will remove the protective patina. Then get a little of your facial oil, which is the perfect pH, on the pad of your finger and very gently rub it across the high points of the coin. You'll be pleased with the results. I ruined my first couple large cents and 2 cent coins before I learned the correct way. I don't mean to sound preachy or condescending so please don't be offended. I'm just passing on some helpful information that was given to me a long time ago. The bottom line, though, is that it's your coin to do with as you wish.
Thanks Frank, you are right, but when we are out there filming people want to see what we find right away, especially during a live dig. We try to just wipe it enough to ID the coin. Thanks again for watching and for the comment. Take care and Happy Easter
Thanks! Wish we could have ID the cut reale in the field. We would have freaked but that was an amazing place for sure with lots of great finds. Thanks for watching!
