Quickly Buffing Cymbals

- So I don't have a small buffer and I'm quickly flipping this quick I bought around. It came with some cheap dirty cymbals so I turned my new DeWalt oscillating tool into a buffer! DeWalt you should make some buffing pads in the future! Anyways, used some Brasso and just cut an old towel down and it did the trick!! Polished those Zildjians right up! But for you logos fans.... it did start removing the logos.
Awesome video.
That tool sounds like the weirdest synth solo ever.
Car buffers will smoke this method, my friend.
Good video Zack
did you clean the underside too?
I do clean the bottom side also as that side tends to get even more prints than the top but it's less seen... so it's a double edge sword, damned if you do damned if you don't type deal. So I don't spend a lot of time on the bottom but I do clean it.
Which small buffer would you recommend buying for cleaning cymbals? Thanks :)
Would a buffing drill adapter on a standard drill suffice?
Absolutely! I have done that myself
@@ZackZweifel I am new to this. Which buffing pad do I get? Wool? Sponge? Both? Or just use a lot of cloth pieces. I have like 15 cymbals. Can I reuse these pads? Grateful to you for your recommendation. Thank you again :)
@@sarinsahil here is what i would recommend. Something like this: www.amazon.com/Coceca-Polishing-Sponge-Drill-Adapter/dp/B0771BSVYL/ref=sr_1_12?crid=2QG34VSPWHHPI&keywords=buff+disc+drill+attachment&qid=1643843725&sprefix=buff+disc+drill+attachment%2Caps%2C131&sr=8-12
the sponge is a little more abrasive and clean fast and the wool would clean up. Both are washable and re-useable!
@@ZackZweifel Thank you very much Zack :)
Keep recording Spaz, I know you putting ivy back together.. Set up the camera every now and then.
Ivy is going to be back together this year. I'll start doing more videos with her soon!
@@ZackZweifel Awesome! Can't wait!!
