Many, many years ago I had the privilege to assist to a Sammy Davis solo performance in a Broadway theatre. All I can say at my 86 years is that I consider Sammy's the best ever solo musical show that I was privileged to enjoy. With this starting he made master works of each song he sang. May he rest in peace because he was a humble man that made millions of followers.

I like Mr. Sinatra's version, but now that I hear Sammy's, it's so wonderful, different, very on his way!

Sammy Davis is one of my absolute favorites. And right now, I'm feeling such a need to send this to everyone I know so they can know what they're missing out on (and perhaps become attached :-)). Great rendition of a great song, by a most excellent man.

Sammy Davis was the greatest performer I have seen and he could do it all. He and his good friend Frank Sinatra would like me very much because Im another Black man that can do Sinatra like Sinatra. No Brag just facts Im Reginald Blackwell The Black Sinatra in America.

Sammy was 3 years when his mother gave him to his father. She keep her daughter but abandon Sammy... he didn't see his mother again until he was around 12 years of age. A lot of people don't know this, but he never went to school, because of performing on road with his father. When he went into the military is when they discovered he could not read and they helped him from that point on...

As a little boy I actually got to see that Stutz car in the Beverly Hills dealership before Sammy picked it up:) The floors and trunk were all lined with mink fur. It cost $70,000! A new Rolls Royce was only $23,000. A V-12 Ferrari was $15,000:)

David walsh, think of this version as a buddy rich arrangement.sammy and buddy recorded a live album, where sammy does an uptempo what kind of fool am i.believe me,if sammy wanted to sing my way as a ballad,it would have exceptional.on you tube sammy does a medley of sinatra songs during his concert.sammy ended by singing my way as a ballad.
