@Ryan Fanstone It's not a lot, actually, it's mostly just dark and scary. When you spawn in there'll be a flashlight on the ground to your right. You'll need that. Oh, you get nightvision goggles at some point, too, which is nice (When Nerd3 found that green visor thing, that's what it was.)
I love seeing the different solutions to these puzzles. Like for the vent bit, I just grabbed the rope and threw the box at the button. And for the gun-purchasing-with-ammo bit, I actually looked for the ammo crates the game tells you about
I've seen a few people play this (D whose part of Node and Beta tested so knew what they were doing/getting into. Others that were clueless and didn't read/do tutorials.) But Dan is easily the best. He's having the most fun whilst knowing the controls and being scared shitless by the slightest moving pixel.
Dan long time subscriber here I like your playthrough of this way more than most as you seem to get the feel of immersion boneworks is going for. It's not about being a game but acting like you normally would if you were in the boneworks fulfilling the ideas from other games of "hey I should have been able to do this instead" or "this would have been fun to try" to lift you actually have to try and lift the puzzles all have solutions that make sense it rewards the outlandish and simple immersion of a world not just ours but better.
Gotta love how Dan has to go all in on murdering the most basic enemies in the game. Like I've seen people just bop these guys and they go down but with him, he full on has to strangle or slam their heads into walls to kill them. It's kinda both amazing and hilarious.
Ah, Thor versus weird outlined people (If Thor was unfit and fought by flailing around and shouting, and Mjölnir was a claw hammer with very short returning abilities)
really glad Dan's playing this. I bought it on release but had to return it after about half an hour as it really messed me up motion sickness wise. I'd had my rift for about 18 months (and had been into VR since psvr), and while I used to have my vr legs, I hadn't played for about 6 months and had lost them entirely and was actually worse than I'd ever been to the point I've now had to sell my rift because there was no point :(. I shall now live my virtual reality vicariously through Dan. He always has more fun than I ever did anyway.
I'm jealous. He got over the fence. So many times I gave up on trying that. That and climbing up onto things I barely grabbed onto (or am hanging by my arms on a roof).
Soooo I've just watched a grown man being out of breath, moaning and being scared for absolutely no reason whatsoever... Those wireframe zombies are even less of a threat, than an angry granny swinging a handbag... So no threat at all.
Hey Dan I heard they made a GLaDOS and Duck Hunt easter egg but Duck Hunt isn't an easter egg, it's another game they made, mostly the GLaDOS is terrifying
Yeah, I think I'll watch this part tomorrow. It seems my migraine (or whatever it is) hasn't fully passed, and the constant swaying is physically uncomfortable to look at right now. :(
Ngl if I was an eccentric millionaire, I'd absolutely invest 100k into a huge, super-accurate omnidirectional treadmill so we could see Dan get genuinely winded. In 10 years time, when force feedback technology is perfected to the point where he actually has to exert great effort to do stuff in the game.
This game reminds me of the last of us Bricks are your best friend 🧱 Being terrified Beating up enemies mercilessly Beating up enemies mercilessly with a brick while terrified
If this is how scared he is in streets he's going to have a heart attack in sewers
Pyro Moose especially when he gets ambushed by headcrabs. Scared the fuck out of me.

@Ryan Fanstone Zombies and darkness and crablets oh my
welcome back to "dan getting winded by light exercise"
Its a lot less light when youve got a fucking brick of 2kg's tugging on your neck
@@Crbn46 not really
@@Crbn46 It really isnt. That heavy breathing is for """""""comedic""""""" purposes
@@nelu2371 he also has chronic fatigue syndrome
@@zombi2896 Thats not how that works tho
Gets a gun. throws it into his right hand. Accidentally starts shooting. Drops the gun... perfection
What we've learned from this video. Dan's version of hand to hand combat is, "Flail until either I'm dead or they are."
ToppleZone he doesn’t keep proper distance at all lol
"Things are less scary when you're high" - was that an intentional joke or not? 😂
Smoke weed every day, sorry I had to say it :)
Damn u stole mine lol
looks like Dan has never done LSD xD
R.M.A.J Gaming ur not high on lsd you’re spaced out
Grunting sounds: the experience
Makes theses videos way less enjoyable
@@nelu2371 I'm sure some of it is fake but it is a game you move yout body after all.
@@korinoriz have you ever played vr? Its just slow arm movements
@Jackie Tearie Because on dont like people that fake a personality to be percieved as funnier?
@@J3wuigi Haha god Nerds fanboys are so sad, the grunting and heavy breathing for no reason isn't funny its just obnoxious.
as someone once said,
"Cube- and button-based testing remains an important tool for science, even in a dire emergency."
The little screams sound so much like Homer Simpson, you weren’t joking when you said your humour comes from the simpsons!
4:52 for this scene, if someone was blind, they would literally think he murdered someone lol
I feel like we're slowly seeing him devolve into James Acaster in parts of this video
Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that
"Things are less scary when you're high"

Dan grappling with that nullbody was possibly the most relatable fight ive ever seen
Watching him pitifully fight hand to hand is so enjoyable and realistic
20:00 ah yes, a pointless crate destruction factory. a tradition in video games.
Well someone has to destroy the pointless crates.
I love seeing the different solutions to these puzzles. Like for the vent bit, I just grabbed the rope and threw the box at the button. And for the gun-purchasing-with-ammo bit, I actually looked for the ammo crates the game tells you about
"That's not a gun, that's a banana"
didn't realise we were in a doctor who episode
Let’s just ignore the fact Dan did a literal Superman punch, but with a brick.

the amount of blood on the ground when he "strangled" that nullbody
Watching Dan fight in VR is the best experience Ive had today.
There are times like this i wish DadCubed was still doing gameplay videos

Perfect, I was just thinking i want a cup of tea a cake and to relax to a 20 minute UA-cam video
6:00 Bet he'll love the sewers...
You've played TimeSplitters, you're already trained in Brick.
I would pay so much money to see Dan flailing around in his office in the VR headset
He's going to slowly get better and better at fighting as the series goes on. It's gonna be great.
Remember that Dan was just checking out a museum before he fell into a trash chute he wasn't intended to go into.
I still think "you get confused by tables? Me too man." Is my favorite nerdcubed quote
1:29 "things are less scary when your high" yes Dan, yes they are

He killed one with a brick and a Superman punch lol
I love when Dan finds a regular ass pallet jack and doesn't get it
1:12 he got us
That little microphone pop around 21:38 startled me!
Have you ever looked back and thought to yourself “At one point in my life I was watching a man... wrangle with a computer at 1 am”
"Things are less scary when you're high"
Dan has clearly never been on drugs
10:04 Nice job disarming that guy
I really appreciated that James Acaster reference
Ah, Thor versus weird outlined people (If Thor was unfit and fought by flailing around and shouting, and Mjölnir was a claw hammer with very short returning abilities)
This is a really great lp. I think he interacts with the envirionment in a fun way,
Glad to see I'm not the only person who gets scared wayyyyy too easily in this game. I had to have someone else play part of sewers for me!
8:51 For a second I thought that was just a joke, then I remembered who his dad is.

robo3687 to be fair, this game is very intense, I don't generally get motion sick but this does make me feel a bit queasy after a while.
"Things are less scary when you're high.."

I wonder if the vending machine just took random items, and he wasted all his ammo on it xD

DO you want to kill a man?
What we learned from this series. Dan is capable of murder.

This game has references to the scp setting. I reccomend that you check out the wiki. Scp 173 will definitely remind you of something
