Just like how home consoles used to be viewed as a “gimmick” based on arcade machines VR may well actually be the future of modern gaming. Honestly I feel bad for people who get motion sick in VR, but I’m glad you can still do most things in the game, well except walking with your eyes open
Yeah, that thing saying "Haha, old VR games used teleportation, we don't!" rubbed me the wrong way. That is why this game has a warning saying "this is for experienced users" and that teleportation would break a majority of the gameplay but at least some comfort options like vignette would be welcome for people like you. Dan you should try hotdogs, horseshoes, and hand grenades again and try out "take and hold" and rotweiners. I think u could have some fun with those game modes

Yeah it's just a more advanced version of a technique that's existed in gaming for ages (at least 20 years I reckon). Basically it just fades in a highly detailed texture over the regular texture when you get close enough that you'd notice it. In this case the detailed texture is the black spaces between the sub pixels as well as a coloured filter for each sub pixel.

It has been a long time since I have been here. I was just curious after having watched Tobuscus again. I can say that I was disappointed that there was no Hello Procrastinators. but that's ok, time's change and so must I.
There's a BIG difference between a video being demonetized by UA-cam or by the owner of the video. UA-cam does it when they detect "objectionable content" because advertisers don't want to be associated with it (profanity etc.), so far fewer ads are run on it (individual advertisers can say they're OK with certain things so there can be _some_ ads, but then UA-cam keeps ALL revenue). However when the uploader demonetizes their videos they're simply telling UA-cam that they don't want to be paid, but UA-cam can still run ads on them any keeps all the money! There isn't an official way to stop all ads appearing on your videos (but Jim Sterling did devise an ingenious way I think he calls "copyright deadlock")
