This place is rocking it out of the park. "Tapas" concept is not meant for this kind of volume. It is a miracle they are able to maintain their high quality plates.
State Bird Provisions is the best. We went there twice in a week; we loved their food so much and Stuart is just the nicest person ever and we loved his staff. Everyone is super dedicated and passionate about food.
So many comments about people complaining about this person being boring or that person being hipstery or this other person being annoying in some small, silly way. Am I the only one who watches these things for the food?
For some reason watching chefs drink and eat food always entertains me. I've been to Ramen Shop a number of times and I have to say it's the only hip restaurant I've been to that was worth the money. Superb ramen every time, and their pickles are delicious. Awesome Japanese Single Malt selection as well. My sample size on hip restaurants is small to be sure, but I've been to enough to know that Ramen Shop is one of the real deals and makes me hungry to try State Bird.
Knowing how to work hard and know how to have a great time with friends, and eat healthy and enjoy life, knowing that you can fix great food that people will enjoy and love,is the best filling in the world.
Love the style and concept. It's so obvious how amazing the flavors are, to see Americans using kimchee and fermented elements as flavoring agents shows incredible evolution in the American style and pallet.
Because it's the -hipster- "in" thing to do. To call others hipsters means you're cool and unique as you are rebelling against something that has become mainstream. Every body's a special snowflake!
They're bitter failures. (I almost said "they're fat failures", but that would be a disservice to the heavy-set folks featured throughout these Munchies videos who are self-accomplished and damned happy.)
Homegirl1982 and fat.... disgustingly morbidly fat.... and probably not happy since they're obese which reflects their rotten soul. they're trying to fill a black hole inside themselves with food, and it won't work, they just swell up
What a great series! Have a few drinks while watching these pros and I get some great ideas to use in my own kitchen. I love that smoked trout quinoa, but I'll use salmon 'cause that's what I have. Thanks for the entertainment and the good ideas!
Munchies! Another brilliant episode. Hospitality for the hospitable. Oxtail curry? Yes, yes I shall. There is no blotie with good roti. Blessings ChefMike
Seven years late to the game but of all the cno I've seen, this one looks like the one I would go crazy for. It's 3 am and I may or may not have smoked some gas weed, so I may or may not have the Munchies! I lived in Austin Texas for 20 years and got to know a lot of the chefs from the divine independent restaurants of that time.
for some reason, i thought it was pretty cool of him to say "cooking school". other than that, this was an ok episode....i want the rowdiness that i expect from Chef's Night Out brought back for the next episode.
Seems like a lot of their recipes just rely on the ingredients to work. Of course a pancake would taste nice if you put umi over it. They just combine a lot of different foods from different backgrounds and cook it that way.

San Franciscos food scene is really magic. One of a kind

Curry and flatbread is probably the best food combo of all time
🤣🤣 Definitely loved the Chef's "happy dance" at the end of the episode

I worked for Stuart and Nicole back at Rubicon. They are really amazing people; huge nerds but very nice ppl.

This is one of these episodes that I really enjoyed a lot.

Growing up in the Bay Area we have so many different cultures and food here it really like no place else.
This guy has gotta be the most likeable chef in the series
i love this channel.
Man, the juggalo jokes didn't get old at all!
That Ox Tail curry looks amazing.
Why is everybody in the munchies comments always reacting on how much of a hipster everyone in the videos is.
Because it's the -hipster- "in" thing to do. To call others hipsters means you're cool and unique as you are rebelling against something that has become mainstream.

What a great series! Have a few drinks while watching these pros and I get some great ideas to use in my own kitchen. I love that smoked trout quinoa, but I'll use salmon 'cause that's what I have. Thanks for the entertainment and the good ideas!

ITS JOSIE BAKER at 10:48!!! Awesome guy haha
Amazing friends amazing people. Thank you for sharing your night outing. Friends from....lol nice.
No wonder I can't get a reservation at state bird. That place only seats like 15 people.
This would be my perfect meal.
It's boring to have to eat a whole meal of the same flavour...

I am wondering the same thing. Looks like an energy shot to me
jagermeister
Die Meo It sounded like he said: "It's like Jagermeister but without the sugar". Jagermeister has a square bottle
It's called 'Underberg'. I believe it's German^^
Z4Teaser Thanks. Now all I need to do is find some.
as a juggalo, i take offense to what they say about us
That must happen a lot.
I was talking about what they said in the video.

uhm quote ? o.o
PicuPiee "if you're not first, then you're not first" - Shane Lee, 2014
my only comment is that the roti was the least roti looking roti i've ever seen.
Looks awesome, probably cost a few hundred each of them
Thats a curry. It looks more like a soup. But i bet it tasted really good.
Seriously, that ain't a roti either.
Seems like a lot of their recipes just rely on the ingredients to work. Of course a pancake would taste nice if you put umi over it. They just combine a lot of different foods from different backgrounds and cook it that way.
for a guy who lives in sf ive gotta say compared to other cities our food scene is pretty embarrasing
+Shayan Ansari You need to get out more! ;-)
why dont you do an episode about eddie huangs baohaus
ending track anyone ??
damn I wouldn't ever wear a white shirt to a night of drinking
ah fun
All this Asian food and Asian inspired fusion and it's in the Bay Area. Not a single Asian chef represented.
is that a polka cover of Metallica at 14:00
Are all men in SF bearded? 🤔
So what I took from this video is... it's illegal to drink as a car passenger? What bullshit.
Hipsters contemplating the mysteries of juggalos
It'sall about the food....

It's not "Bangladesh in descent", it's "*Bangladeshi" in descent"
Bearded gay men
Can't watch one ep of this series without the "p" word thrown around.
