For a TN, try putting the books you write in the most in the middle, it makes it easier to write in. Also, snug elastics are a must! When I’m in a planner funk I change things up a bit, still keeping my same essential system of monthly appointments, weekly time blocking, and daily tasks.
It was nice to see you working in the petite planner. Im working in that planner and I love it . I may get the life planner just to try. But I use ithe petite all the time. Generally I'll keep the books in the folio when I set it up.

I bought the medium sticky pockets for my folio and then I watched Julie from Julie’s Plans set hers up and she uses the large sticky pockets, so that’s what I went with. The medium ones did seem pretty small in there and the large ones are perfect! I also put a pen holder in the back and that works perfectly for the paper mate flair 😁
I definitely take the books out to write too. It's just too hard to write while they are still in there and honestly I have been leaving them out of the folio all together loose in my bag for that reason.
I have been using the daily planner since the end of September. At first I did not think that I needed a daily planner, but I was wrong. I like to have the lots of room for a daily to do list.
When I’m in a planner funk, I end up doing all the things in all the planners. I’m still figuring out the petite daily planner and the wellness log and stuff in the folio. But I don’t like writing in the books when they’re in the folio, so I have to take them out to write in them. They seem to move around a lot, and I have one of the new folios, so I don’t think I can tighten anything so it’s a little annoying. But I’m enjoying trying out a new system. Have a great trip! Hey Laken..I have sticky pocket in the back it it fits fine.. put it close to the edge. Also I take my books out to write in them. If I am in a rush I will just write in the book with out taking it out.

That pocket fits PERFECTLY! I have mine in the back but that the opening faces in. I only take some out. Depends on where I am writing & where the book is, the 1st is too difficult but the rest lay better. I just set my planner aside & do a brain dump list that week
I get in planner funks a fair amount. I sometimes just journal why I am feeling disillusioned with the planner on those days and use it to look for workarounds. If that fails I bounce into my fauxbonichi or my BIG happy planner.
When I am in a planner funk I tend to just write to do lists and keep my monthly spread updated with things that are date specific. Next year I’m switching to the HP Monthly layout. I use a separate work planner.
It depends on the day...literally...whether or not I prefer taking out the petite planner to write in. If the day is on the left side of the planner, more often than not I’ll take it out to write. If the day is on the right side of the planner, I leave it in. The other things in the folio provide enough of a flat space that I can write without any problems.
I’m exited to hear how this goes! I’m thinking I might try either a petite or the daily binder inserts. I’m afraid to fall in love with the petite though because I’m not a fan of the 2020 hexagon changes.

Question: when you do stuff that is like productive but not work related during your lunch break, do you stay at your desk or find somewhere else to work for a bit?
I started my first grown up job over the summer after I graduated and I am just curious how other people approach this! I feel like sometimes I spend too much time at my desk!
It depends! If I’m doing a bunch of things and/or it’s mostly writing, I’ll stay at my desk. It’s just easier and I do have a window. If I’m working on my personal laptop/editing, I will usually go somewhere else.
Totally not related really to this video, but when did you switch to ww and what made you transition from JC? I do ww now and have done JC- for me it was the cost and not being able to choose my food the day before. I like having choices- just curious your thoughts!

I am like you in the fact that I prefer to take the book out to write in it. I also got the wrong sticky pockets to go in the planner, but I went ahead and used the large sticky pocket and it seems to be working okay. You can use the larger pockets in the petite journal. Julie of Julie’s Plans uses the large one. That’s where I got the idea.
