i go hatyai on a weekly basis from penang. sometimes even to surat thani, koh samui, phattalung and traang. You guys can travel to all these places by van or train.
Hi, Just discovered your UA-cam channel. I am also staying in Penang & used to drive all the way to Phuket almost every year. You guys should try out. Is the journey along the way that is very interesting.
Hi Jeanne! Always great to have another Penang person on the channel!! ❤️ We do intend to do more drives to Thailand next year. We are very much looking forward to it!
@@rosnira this year so far, we went to Hatyai 4 times. Usually 4 days 3 nights or 3 days 2 nights suffice for us. We've not been to Hatyai by bus but we don't see why not. You can also hire a private van to bring you in.
What neighborhood is good to get a airbnb? A local area but not too far from stores etc.. day and night markets area as well. A place where mosques are too.
@@renong9173 yes! Roads were clear all the way from Penang to Kedah. We also cleared the border into Thailand within 10 mins with all the paperwork and the roads from Sadao to Hat Yai was smooth with few cars on the road. An extremely pleasant drive overall. It does help that we went in on a weekday and we started our journey early in the morning.
It's a different type of cooking. Doesn't mean its not authentic. Perlis and Kedah border Thailand. Doesn't mean the food in these 2 states aren't authentic

Let us know in the comments which other parts of Thailand you would like us to visit!

How many days did you spend in Hatyai? Would a bus from Ipoh be good?

Hatyai is small, so right smack in the city centre is ideal.
Wow - Another wonderful video! Never knew that Hat Yai looks like that now. Thank you!
Thank you!
Yes, Fran is surprised at how much has changed and John experienced Hat Yai for the 1st time. We both loved it and will be back!

We're going again in August! Road trip with our friends from Singapore and this time we're heading further!
I wonder if you can interview Jean Voronkova 😊
We've been in contact. She definitely knows who we are.
oh 4 hours from penang to enter thailand?! I had no idea! do you have to process your vehicle every trip in or is it just one-time registration? :)
Every single trip but they will have your records if you drive the same car.
Wonderful. Driving to Thailand is advantageous
Yes, we totally enjoyed our time there
How was the driving? Smooth traffic smooth roads?

What was the name of the stall in 4:27? 😊
Je Phorn Noodle but it's not on Google.
I guess you are wrong. Hat Yai has lot of very good hotels. I don't like The habita because lack of parking
@@wong1262 we found another one recently with loads of parking. Mon Kham Hotel.
