I don't own any tortoise but this is great knowledge being dropped to evaluate just how much dedication it takes to do it properly. Thank you for all that you do for us.
Thank u for this video! I️ just bought a hatchling leopard tortoise about a month ago and your videos have prevented me from making a few mistakes and helped me with caring properly for him 😄
Why more than two bath waters?? Are you supposed to wait for him/or her to finish peeing and pooping? Sorry, what’s the point? Just curious. -Thanks, in advance!
Hatchlings can become dehydrated quite quickly so that's why I recommend bathing them every other day. Great that you are bathing your baby tortoise twice a week but if you could squeeze in another 10 minute soak that would be even better! 😉💚🐢
My little girl has some staining around her mouth from the purple leaves she eats sometimes. Is there any good/safe way to wash that off without stressing her out or hurting her? Also, my girlfriend wants to paint my baby's toe nails. I would rather not, but if it will not hurt her using a safe product I would be OK with it. Is there a safe product for this?
I wouldn't worry about the staining from food around your tortoise's mouth, it will soon wipe off/fade as they eat other foods (or you can try to stop feeding the purple leaves for a while until the staining has gone). I'd strongly advice against painting their toenails as the chemicals could be harmful for your little one. 💚🐢
I never use tap water the chlorine is drying to the skin and burns there eyes, i use bottled water. Just warm it in the microwave. I have an 8 year old ornate box turtle/tortoise named Penelope, she doesn't need baths as often as yours dose she gose in the water on her own daily so baths are more for just cleaning than anything eles. Bottled water might get expensive and inconvenient if you need to bath everyday. You could leave the water out for a few days in a 5 gal. Bucket with a bubbler to airate the water so the chlorine evaporates so its safe for bathing. Boiling the water may just concentrate the chemicals in the water making what ever is in it more irritating and toxic. Also im in America and we may have more chlorine in our water than other countries, that could be way it's ok to use tap water for some people. On another note your tortises are beautiful and i love your set up. 🐢

Where you get your thermometer? What is it called besides digital thermometer? I tried looking for that one but I can’t find it :/
I would also be interested about your thermometer I can only find ones with probe attached to thermometer without a cable

How many times a day do you feed him? this video was really amazing. But answer my question.
I was thinking of getting my 1 year old baby girl "Gem" a friend. Is it OK to get another hatchling or do I need to get another 1 year old companion?
I'd recommend getting a friend that is a similar size to Gem 😊🐢🐢
Behest is actually in the tortoise save cleaner
Is it bad that I soak the baby two times a week?

Ditto! Very good and helpful
tap has chlorine ?
Yes, tap water isn't ideal as it has chlorine - filtered or cooled boiled water is best 💚🐢
