My mum laughed at me so much for being so excited by a sink. I bet Aldi never knew it would end up being a bath for a tortoise! And omg when I watched it back when editing I laughed so much but didn't put it in the video as I thought I'd get hate :') glad my BTS amused you Ahhahaha xxx
Hi! I love your tortoises x I've noticed that your tortoises have a bit of an overgrown beak, so i would recommend doing to the vets to trim it down, so then they are more comfortable :)
Hey just now ticked your tortoise seem to have slight pyramiding so I would recommend feeding a basic diet of rocket salad , baby leaf salad and dandelion leafs and flowers thanks for listening bye
E the shape of their shell underneath infront of their tail is a clear indicator, if you search on google, tortoise gender comparison you’ll see how to compare xx
I was thinking that too I can see really bad pyramids on tum tums shell and nutmeg has a pyramids as well I’m not sure what species these tortoises are but they look like Herman’s to me and Herman’s tortoises are not supposed to have pyramids it can be very dangerous
Do you ever put her in the shower ? Mine's stick their heads up as the shower goes on them like they think they are in a rain forest perhaps Lol! Awe nutmeg 3 legs to sweet love the collapsable sink thanks for the share of the vid 😁
Kept outside in a natural enclosure the tortoise will soak and drink for itself, forced bathing just prompts them to release waste at unhealthy intervals, removing them from their familiar environment also just causes unneeded stress. Let them do it for themselves.
@@lunis471 Dependant on your climate, they should be outside. Where do you live and what species do you keep? They require less liquid outside, they dehydrate less due to moist conditions, naturally regulated humidity and natural infrared radiation from the sun that is less drying than artificial lamps. It still applies to indoor keeping however, I never soak them, they go into their water dishes daily and dig into the moist substrate.
Thanks for replying to me. I live in Scotland UK I have an indoor setup but I really wish they lived out in more natural environment. My female Tort disappearance 9 months I was heartbroken and spent days nights months looking for her but the sun came out last week and she appeared in my neighbours garden I was in shock and elated to get her back. You know Mr Tort was never the same all that time he hardly lived in his house he would climb the walls literally so I'd !et. Him have the run of the house now she is back he is happy as Larry. They are both 8 years old.I Always have water for them. In their house but I do shower them but I would stop if this is not good for them. Thanks so much for your reply best wishes

Hello Imy I really enjoyed this video but I am a bit concerned for your tortoises because they have pyramids on there shell which can be sign of metabolic bone disease this can be really dangerous for Herman’s tortoises or any tortoises I’m not here to hate I think your tortoises are adorable and this video was so helpful I’m just a bit worried that’s all keep up the great content though!! Xxx❤️🐢
You should never keep only one male and one female together. Because it can stress both of them. 🙈 Especially the male only thinks about reproduction 🙈 if you know what I mean
that sink is SUCH a good idea, I might just copy you!! also I laughed so much when you snapchatted me when one of them fell over lol I WANT ONE

But what if there is not an outside run? Then what please? I see what your saying about releasing their stools at a forced rate though
