Probably trying to diversify away from London based games because there isa lot more to England that just London. If they did one about just London or they did a follow up then it would definitely be on there.
Be proud of your English heritage. It amazes me how west Europeans tend not to be proud of it. Be proud of your name, parents, identity, hostory and heritage. Never forgget that u dont chose your identity but sociaty gives it to you. Old Greeks knew it 2600 years ago. We dont need to ecent the wheel when others have already discover it. U started your video with a sort of falce premice. BE PROUD OF YOUR COUNTRY! Greetings from 🇦🇱
“Zombi” was an interesting choice of titles seeing as how that’s the name a lot of Europe knows George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead by (not to mention Lucio Fulci’s unofficial sequel Zombi 2, aka Zombie, a horror classic in its own right).
This was a fun one! Glad to see We Happy Few. I thought of that one right away. But what about The Order: 1886? Forza Horizon 4? Conker's Bad Fur Day (almost anything from Rare, really)? Blood and Truth? That's even made by LONDON studios!
Am I the only one that can see that Professor Layton is quite obviously set in France? I mean he’s driving a 2cv to a tower in a place called saint mystere, where the inhabitants are called Beatrice, sylvain, and crouton… you can’t get a lot frencher!
Worked on both Ubi titles from this list. Their strong British setup brought a great mood at developpment. Combined with their dark theme, it felt a bit like working on a movie production somehow, good time
So very happy to see Rapture on the list. Having been born a Shropshire lad I can atest that a lot of that village rings surprisingly true. I've drunk (and been drunk) in quite a few pubs that could well have been that one.
Curious Village is definitely France. That car is clearly a Citroen 2CV, the composer has stated his soundtrack was influenced by French style, and it's St Mystere!
Wellington Wells is also a reference to John Wellington Wells, the title character in the Gilbert and Sullivan opera The Sorcerer, for extra Britishness points.
I think it's fair to include GTA in a list like this. Dan and Sam Houser, founders of Rockstar Games, were born in London, so there's a lot of British sort of humour in GTA. Such as the car called the "Pfister Growler"
I love y'all but sometimes i wish you had one or two more soundtracks for your list videos, i personally would like that but I'm aware that isn't free and I'm likely alone in my feelings on the matter. Just sharing my thoughts 😊
Great video and very funny 👍I'd like more, especially since TTJ and Vidiots are my window to the UK. If you want a list about Polish games, you know my contact details ;)
What about the Xenoblade Franchise? I mean, come on, all those sexy bri'ish accents in 1 and 3.......and damn, 3 has Eunie...it cannot get much more bri'ish than that lil bird-gal. Also, honorable mention: "Dragon Quest VIII - Journey of the Cursed King", Yangus. That dude is just hilariously british.
How can you mention a game as old as How To Be A Complete Bastard without mentioning Soccer Kid, Discworld Noir, Beneath A Steel Sky or Sensible Soccer? Then you have Simon The Sorcerer or Dr Who Day Of The Daleks.
Alright mates. 'ere are 10 more cushty games that revel in their Englishness for all the blokes & birds out there: Alice: Madness Returns Any Sherlock Holmes game by Frogwares (*WILD*CARD*ENTRY*LOVELY*JUBBLY!*) Destroy All Humans! 2 Dracula 2: The Last Sanctuary Hogs of War MediEvil series Rule of Rose The Getaway series Untitled Goose Games Vampyr
Forgetting The Getaway is one thing, but what about Her Majesty's Spiffing? Probably the most british game ever! Philistines! Name ONE other sci-fi game where you're on a mission in space directly ordered by the queen of England, (who is really upset about Brexit!) and your first task is making tea? I'm not angry, just disappointed. And so is the british royal family.
they need a new GTA set over here, it could span from London to Manchester, Liverpool & maybe up round Glasgow or something, with some indetween towns as well (admittidly I just want my hometown to appear if they did one but as its the main junction of the west coast main line theres a chance, assuming they'd ever make it in the first place) How to be Complete Bastard really needs to be remade with modern tech, loved it on my Speccy, just dont open the brolly indoors!
The problem is is that most Britiah cities are very similar. It's not like American with New York and New Orleans, Miami, LA ect. They're all visually very similar with a similar climate. I do drive regularly in those cities (well more so Liverpool and Manchester) extremely regularly but they are definitely better cities to pick over London. I'd argue slightly more Liverpool because it is set out a bit better than Manchester, especially for driving and does still have that sort of Gotham feel to it. Which would explain why they film Batman and Peaky Blinders and stuff there. The issue though would be no one outside Liverpool and Ireland will know what's being said
Not being proud of your country, no matter where you’re from, is a very modern social disease and it’s a shame. For England in particular, the pros far outweigh the cons
If a game is set in Britain, I’ll be viewing it with rose-tinted glasses and wanting to play it regardless of quality. That said, AC: Syndicate is a decent instalment.
Triple jump is one of my favorite channels but British people go above and beyond to act pretentious and mispronounce everything. It's kabob, not kabab.
NGL I'm a little surprised Conker's Bad Fur Day isn't even mentioned here, considering its level of British humor is comparable to Monty Python.
The fact The Getaway isn't on here is a sin.
Amazing game!
Glad someone pointed this out
Chuffed means happy.good effort.
This was a great list, but I am shocked (nay SHOCKED) that The Getaway didn't even get an honourable mention. How did that happen?
Same
Probably trying to diversify away from London based games because there isa lot more to England that just London. If they did one about just London or they did a follow up then it would definitely be on there.
Was thinking the exact same thing. Thought it would be number 1.
They’re English but not proud of it

I think all of us,no matter where we come from, share at least one thing: our countries have been colonized by England at one point in history.
thats gross
No lol not all of us
all my homies hate engl*nd

I'm sorry but leaving out the getaway is a crime.
Even when not talking about gaming Fable is always on my mind as being overtly English
I didn’t expect to ever see both Stoke and the Mystery of the Druids referenced in one video.
Worked on both Ubi titles from this list. Their strong British setup brought a great mood at developpment. Combined with their dark theme, it felt a bit like working on a movie production somehow, good time

The best part of the Stoke joke was that it wasn't technically stoke
They used a picture of up Hanley duck. I'd recognise hell on earth anywhere.
@@Rodez1986 who can forget the blue clock

Forza Horizon 4??? It could have replaced the very FRENCH Professor Layton
Wellington Wells is also a reference to John Wellington Wells, the title character in the Gilbert and Sullivan opera The Sorcerer, for extra Britishness points.

I'd have thought "On Her Majesty's Spiffing Service" would have been here. Sure, it takes place in space, but it is quite English as well.
Hogs of War with Rik Mayall voicing the Narrator with an upper lip so stiff you could balance a brew on it. 🐷
you'd have better weapons if you set Zombi in Ireland. With their tanks and their bombs and their bombs and their guns.
Speaking of. Did you see there is an official release date for Fallout London? I can't WAIT to play it! The new Fallout we deservere over Fallout 76.
I’m still waiting for Fallout Cascadia. It’s been 7 years, for crying out loud.
@@Floral_Green Haven't heard of that one. Looked it up though. Still working on it. I'll have to remember that one also.
What about Simon the Sorcerer that is basically the British's answer to the Secret of Monkey Island
Vampyr: guess I'll go fuck myself
I almost fell off my chair laughing at number 1. Only Ade Edmondson could come up with something like that. Amazing!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Syndicate’s easily one of my favorite AC games.
Legion, while not as much fun as Watch Dogs 2, was okay.
Zombi…I wasn’t as big a fan of🤷♂️
Little Britain: The Game
Marko's Magic Football surely i can't be the only guy that remembers that Mega Drive masterpiece
Zombies not shuffling around in London during the day? Head into a Wetherspoons to find them.
ha ha
Wondered by anyone remembered GTA: London, and also than there was no Not Today!
You should do a best of worst of games set in London. Of course if there isn't too many.
I think they just did. The list seems to be either London or Fantasy worlds the resembled England.
@@Sovvolf I mean the long worse to the best lists they make sometimes. I don't know if listing every game set in London would be too long though
How has the getaway not made the list? The most geezery game in existence!
