- In this video I take the Nokta Impact to do some metal detecting at the beach! It did wonderfully on the dry sand, wet-ish sand, and what little bit I was in the water. I found a good amount of coinage and overall the hunt went very well! Enjoy!

I've seen many other channels where the person detecting is missing tons of ground with each swing. Nice that there was very little trash. Thank you for the upload. Nice work.
Hahahaha! Yea, most people won't tell you if the machine overloads because that makes it look bad. But it's best to be honest if it happens. Then the customer knows exactly what they are buying and won't be mad when it overloads, they knew it before they bought it. :) Oh my gosh, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I watched a video today where the guys swing was more like a Z pattern. I estimated he had a 2-3 foot gap between each swing! I couldn't believe it!

i love the looks of the nokta impact i have there waterproof pinpointer i love ho that put all there stuff in cool cases my pinpointer came in one and i love them sand scoops he make cool scoops
Oh I know! I took the pointer out on Sunday and opened the box at the beach. Very nice case indeed! :) I'll be showing that in next week's video. :)

Very informative review of a "lesser" known company of some very fine and reliable metal detectors. I have both the original Makro Red Racer and Racer 2 machines and have done very well with them. Super simple to turn on and get after treasure right out of the box. I was so impressed with the Racer machines that I just ordered the Nokta Impact Pro package along with FREE Red Edition 2.4 ghz heaphones, Nokta pin pointer, and ball cap. I have the Nokta Impact also and love it on dry land. Hard to beat my excal II for water. I do know that the Impact will go deeper than the AT Pro. I too am a fan of double d's!
Oh awesome! :) Oh I know. Especially since I know the Impact is not built for beach environments. Oh yes! I hunted on Sunday with it and found 2 super old beer cans, both were at least 14 inches deep. Of course, they are bigger targets but still.

Great Video!!
I got a Garrett Ace 250 about 3 years ago. I have used it a couple of times in my back yard, but apparently there must be a lot of mineralization in the ground, because it will show hits in the coins area: nickle, then quarter, then dime, then bounce around them!! I try to "pinpoint" the hits and get a rough idea where it is at and then dig it, but nothing is there!! I even re-scan the hole I dug and the the dirt I dug out of the hole and Nothing!! I have not used my metal detector the last 2 years because I had Back surgery in April 2016 and then summer 2017 I was so busy trying to mow 3 acres of grass with a 20" gas powered push lawnmower!! I sure got a lot of exercise!! LOL
Hopefully this year I can get out more with my metal detector, maybe get to the beach and give it a try there. Maybe try it at a couple popular fishing spots along the creek.

Thank you! And thanks for watching. :) Hum, that's strange that it would do that. I've not used the 250 before but if you're able to lower the sensativity or the gain, do that. It should help reduce the chatter of the machine. If you have time to get out and do some hunting that is. :) Yikes, that's a large yard to cut with a push mower for sure! If it's a freshwater creek, you'll probably have an easier time. Saltwater makes it difficult. :)
Thank you for the advice, I will give it a try when the Snow melts and the weather warms up later in the spring! lol Tomorrow (Tuesday February 20) and then the day after (Wednesday February 21) the Weather forecast is for temps to be around 70F and 72F, near record breaking temps on Tuesday and Record breaking on Wednesday!
the stand is nice so you can set the machine down and walk away to wash your find off or whatever if you have the wireless headphones. Great video, now I don't have to read the booklet!!

I think you will find if you listen to the all metal mode on this machine in the low areas on the beach. You are going to be amazed on how mush good stuff you will find. Good luck. 😉
You could be right. The disc setting in COG could hide small gold items and maybe reduce the depth a bit.

A great instructional, informative video. May I offer some info/observations in spirit of teaching...
The sand cliff is referred to as a "cut" and are highly sought after especially one that deep. Finding green/crusty coins above and below the cut indicates how well Irma churned up sand. The green/ crusty coins we're deep and out there a long time so you were hitting some good old stuff. You used COG / beach mode which included a little discrimination and you ended up with much less trash and many more coins. So in future, suggest you add a little discrimination with your other detectors. Also when trying out a new detector do a quick air test to get an idea of coin VDIs. Again offering these comments to be helpful. Congrats on Notka sending you so much gear to try out. Happy Thanksgiving!

Nokta is a Turkish company, so it must have arrived from Turkey. The carrying case is awesome. I never heard any bad reviews about this company. Their products are very reliable i hear. I was very curious about the impact. This is great!
I have both the original Red Racer and Racer 2. They are super easy to use and have been very reliable. I have found some very cool old coins and relics with the Racers at great depth. Very sensitive on really tiny deep targets. I just ordered the Nokta Impact Pro package along with FREE Nokta pin pointer, ball cap, and Red Edition wireless headphones. A very customer friendly company building great machines for a reasonable price.

I think that I read that this machine will maintain ground balance as you change ground matrix via auto tracking .Once the initial Ground Balance is done you are set to go.

Makro is not bad. When you are on a tight budget and want a single frequency detector that doesn't go bonkers on the beach in wet sand, Makro Racer 2 is youre choice.

Oh yes. I dug 2 cans over the weekend there were about 14-16 inches deep! I was surprised for sure. And disappointed. All that work for a can! Grr!! Hahaha. I sure will! Merry Christmas to you also. :D
I had a short hunt at a spot that I have been to a few times without much success last Saturday. I decided to go very slow this time instead of cherry picking and swinging for the fences. My second hole was a giant piece of iron. After getting it out of the way, I picked up another signal mid tones in the mid to high sixties(AT Pro). It was the oldest IHP that I have found to date. 1887! S W E E T! I also had a similar experience with iron and a modern 4 coin spill. Merry Christmas, you to "He Detector"! P. S. I hate mother ships and their pull tab pods!

This is not a water machine per se although it has a beach mode for use in and around the beaches from wet to dry sand, for me I wouldn't I want to take into the water, if you dropped it, your done!, in fact just detecting around the water would be risky JMO, If I were you I would find some great parks houses or fields to detect, that's what this machine is designed for and its a great machine for those kinds of environments! Darnell has had great success using the Nokta. She very kool finds, great job demonstrating the Nokta! Try some vinegar to clean those coins, just don't leave them too long.
makro / nokta make the one of the most polyvalent single freq vlf atm , and im sure they have planned a multifreq for this year not sure it will be simultanous tho.
You're right about that. Yea, maybe having a strap as an, oh sh*t back up is a good idea. Yea, but most of the videos on the Impact are on land. I want to see it perform near water. :) I'll have to go find some freshwater to hunt also. Thank you! And thanks for watching. :)

OK, I watched the video. How is it possible you and I have the same package delivery person ? Ha Ha Ha !!! That is quite a package that comes with the Impact. The fact that the coil cable is routed through the shaft could prevent damage at some time. I have a Varta battery charger and batteries and have always been pleased with them.
It's pretty amazing that you found no junk on that hunt.
It looks like you have plenty of mode and coil combinations to experiment with. So I'm looking forward to some awesome videos in the coming weeks.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Yea, you're right about that. Plus you don't have to worry about using cable ties. I tend to misplace mine. :( Oh yes, I'll be a busy bee for sure! I hunted on Sunday but it was supposed to be a water hunt with the Impact but no viable targets. :( Only iron. I didn't dig it though cause that's not what I was looking for! Hahaha. Oh well.
Great video. I am interested in how large the readout screen is. I hate wearing my glasses but need to sometimes, if the screen has large enough digits I won't need the pain in the ass glasses.
Thank you! I think it's about 3x3 inches or so. I'll have to measure to get a more accurate size though. The target ID number is a decent size though. Pretty easy to see I think. Hahaha. You would for sure need them to adjust your settings or switching modes but for target id, I think you'd be alright.
Makro pointer works great but the button in the end sucks. Also had to put a piece of cardboard above the batteries they fit loose and it would stop working this was from the tech.
It is different having the button in the end. It takes some getting used too for sure. Oh really? I'll have to keep that in mind if mine stops working.

Another very good video well done and informative for sure. your sure found a lot with it and that's a big plus. the fact that only the coil is waterproof is a big negative to me and the fact that the electronics are is not waterproof and also needs to be covered from sand and dust and the cost of the unit are negatives. nice case though for it but you have to take it apart to use the case is not a good feature. but, seams to work well, couldn't hear the tones in the phones on the video very well. one slip up around the water and your out a bunch of money. not worth the risk. look forward to dryland test. thanks for the nice video. I enjoyed it.
Thanks! Yea, for predominantly water hunters, it's not the best choice of machine. It's right up there with the MX Sport and AT Pro or AT Max. All terrain machines. Oh yes, I think the case would be perfect for traveling but for everyday use, na. I suppose you could put all your other gear in it and just keep the machine in one piece. Yea, the headphones keep the tones pretty contained. bummer for filming of course. Oh yes. I don't recommend going in very deep and for sure using the cuff.

A bit odd that the impact isn't fully submersible, when I've seen several advertisings saying it is because it is supposed to compete with the ctx 3030.
Oh that's really interesting. It for sure not submersible due to the cable connection. Nokta told me that themselves. I'm not willing to test that! Hahaha! I don't know that I would say it could even compete with the CTX. CTX is built for the beach, Impact isn't.

Nice hunt. It's a shame it's not 100% waterproof. I like to wash off my equipment after a beach hunt.

good video... I have that pro pack Impact... I like the machine ok but it's a little much for me... all the modes.. Also seems the target ID is a little iffy.. jumps around, seems they could fix that with some sort of update. Other than that... it seems to be a ok machine. I don't hunt much and when I do... I have old man knees ... so my hunt times are short. Good Luck

I've not had any issues with the target ID but I'm still learning them. I've notice issues with the depth ID while pin pointing though. Oh I gotcha. Well I'm not sure where you're hunting but try the beach. It's much easier to hunt there than it is on land. :)
What kind of AA batteries does it use? Nimh only? Lithium Ion? The Lithium Ion hold a longer charge and do not weaken until they are almost discharged, but may not be allowed even in stowed luggage on planes.

I hunted on Sunday with the Impact and found several more coins. I didn't post the video though because I wanted to film water hunting and didn't find not one single viable target in the water. A ton of iron because the Impact disc'ed it out but I didn't dig it. Next week's video will be a two-for-one I think. :) Good tip! I'll add that to my next video. :)

Nice detector package however I would not spend that kind of money ($1329.95 Cdn list price) on a dector that I couldn't submerge in water. Then again I find most detectors to be grossly over priced based on what's actually in them. Do you get to keep this one?
I know what you mean. If you were looking for a water machine, this wouldn't be my first choice simply because it's not waterproof. This machine is great for mostly land hunting and the occasional beach/river hunt. You're right about that too! :D Yes I do get to keep it. I have a TON of testing to still do though so I'll be putting in several hours with all the gear.

Thos makro headphones they sent will connect to your impact. But you dont need the dongle. The dongle is only fornthe racer 2. :-)
Its funny too because the makro headphones work with both detectors becauae it comes with the racer's dongle you plug into the head. But the nokta headphones (same) will only work for the nokta because you dont get the dongle with them. So i have the racer 2 and expecting to get the impact. Therefore ill get the makro headphones so i can use them with both.
They are supposed to be great with no lag.

It's pretty similar to all other screw in connectors but I think the biggest issue is how far you can go in the water. But, I don't recommend going more than 3 feet in the water anyways.
She Detector I understand, this is what i also think! It,s good for shallow water but for deeper i rather choose something else or change the connection myself.

So far I really enjoy hunting with the Impact. It's a nice machine to swing for sure!

Sorry for the late response, I'm catching up! Hehehe. Yea, the case is nice. I'll have to use it on a hunt soon, see how it holds up to having a scoop and other gear inside it. :) The Impact standard package is $721 from Kellyco. The pro package, like I have in the video is $849 also from Kellyco.

It sure does! The pre-set disc setting in COG is wonderful also. You can change them in each setting if you want of course. :)

Sorry for the late response, I'm catching up! Hehehe. It did a great job for the first hunt and not really knowing what I was doing. Hahaha. The weight was fine during the hunt but the day after my shoulder and bicep were killing me! So, I shortened the shaft to have the coil closer to me. It shortened my swing but I was less sore the next day. :)
