  • This video shows the AT Pro in action at the beach. It was a great day for metal detecting. And I found my largest target ever!
    The Garrett AT Pro was provided to me by Kellyco Metal Detectors. They are located just outside of Orlando Florida. I've got it temporarily so I can do tons of testing with it.

    Congrats on all your finds! You did alright. I want to thank you for cleaning out all the trash that you did remove and believe me when I say, you can never carry out everything. Leaving that half tire is understandable and I for one will not hold that against you. Please continue sharing your TH'ing videos with us as it is fun watching! Wishing you good luck on your next TH and videos as well! ;-)

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      Thank you! Well honestly I prefer the MX Sport over the AT Pro. With the MXS you can hunt in zero threshold which means the machine only makes a noise where there is a legit target. No worries about ghost signals or false signals. You don't have that option with the AT Pro. Because of that, I'm liking the MXS better. :)

      I'm using the Deluxe Beach Pouch from The Gold Digger Metal Detectors. Here's the link to it: www.thegolddigger.com/product/gold-digger-deluxe-beach-pouch-w-zippers/ It's awesome! Another great video! I wish I had the nerve to video my digs.
    Question for you. I have the AT Pro but was wondering about the MX sport. What's your opinion between the two? I mainly dig land only being I'm in the Midwest.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      Thank you! You totally should! Why not? :) Oh, I like this question. I prefer the MX Sport. I love that you can hunt in zero threshold which means the machine won't make a sound unless there is a legit target there. No ghost signals or false targets. The AT Pro loves making noise while at the beach and in the water....even where there's nothing there. But, since you're mainly a land hunter, the AT Pro might not be a bad option. It's cheaper than the MX Sport and it is proven to be a good machine on land.

  • @oneenigma4u
    @oneenigma4u 8 років тому

    So which one do you like most ? Is it the AT pro or the MX sport . I was thinking about getting a mx sport and need to know if it will be worth it . I already have the following detectors AT pro, Ace150, ATX , V3i ,Beach hunter 300 .

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      Right now I have to say I prefer the MX Sport over the AT Pro. What I really like about it is that you can hunt in zero threshold. That means the detector wont make a sound unless there is a legit target there. I never once had a ghost signal or false target using the MX Sport. That's not the case with the AT Pro. Plus I feel like the MX Sport was quicker to respond than the AT Pro. You would get an immediate beep with the MXS whereas the AT Pro seems to take a half a second to beep. Could just be me though.

    • @oneenigma4u
      @oneenigma4u 8 років тому

      Funny I never use threshold at all . I will go down and See Ron at golddiggers and check out the MX sport . Oh and nice videos good job .

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      oneenigma4u Not all machines have that option actually. The AT Pro doesn't. But I was a huge fan of the MXS on the beach, even though it doesn't go super deep in the water. Yea, tell him I recommended it to you. He's one of my sponsors. :D He sent me a new toy that I've been itching to play with. I've got to finish up my AT Pro videos first though. ;)

    • @oneenigma4u
      @oneenigma4u 8 років тому

      Yeah my AT pro doesn't have threshold at all , I just pulled it out of my garage . I remember that the AT gold had threshold . If they changed the new ones and put threshold without a way to turn it off , that sucks .

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      oneenigma4u Yea, I didn't think it did. That's cool that the AT Gold does though. Assuming it works the same way as it does with the MXS, that's wonderful!

    Just got a new Garrett Ace 400 and I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. There was about a $200 difference between the Pro and the 400 and when you’re poor, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. But it looks like there are quite a few similarities. The 400 auto ground balances though and I don’t think it goes as deep but I have seen it detect a dime on the vertical at 12”-13”.. Have you done a video on the 400? I haven’t looked yet. Sorry.

    You were like a puppy with a slipper, I laughed so hard I almost peed my self.
    Good video, you found your ring ;) a little large and well what to say I have never seen anyone so determined to dig up trash just because it was there. Love it, you make us all proud!
    Now push the button, the pin pointer one bottom center great for zoning on those coins and rings. Also beer caps are like coins and what I think is happening is the some times the soil is packed just right in the cap to make it appear as a solid coin. I found a away around this with the AT Gold but requires a lot of practice switching settings on the fly.
    Our loonies $1 coin ring up like a beer cap and so like pull tabs if you want the treasure you will dig trash.
    I am so glad to see your beach is ok

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      Lol! Me too actually. While digging it, I never even once thought, what am I going to do with it once I get it out? But as soon as it came out, I thought, damn, now what? Lol! Maybe a bird can use it for a nest or something. hahaha. Oh yea? I'm not anywhere close to being good at that yet! One day maybe. :) Thank you! And thanks for watching.

    • @chrisanderson9276
      @chrisanderson9276 8 років тому

      Don't kid yourself you're a lot better than you give yourself credit for. You just need the right beach or park and it wouldn't be any time before you before you know what your digging before you dig.
      I have to ask, have you tried burying some coins and stuff yet? And if not take some trash targets too.
      Take all your machines to a beach and just find a spot on dry sand and bury every thing a couple of feet apart and don't worry to much about depth. I use golf tees for markers.
      Now detect each target with each machine but don't dig just listen to the sounds and look at the readings. There will be a quiz after ;) I know this sounds like a lot but it is the only way you can really judge the differences and the best way I know to learn how to dig less trash and more treasure.
      I spent 5 hours yesterday digging pull tab and beer caps and all my treasure amounted to was the case of empties I found and ended up giving them away ten minutes later but I had a blast. And that folks is metal detecting.

    Those bottle caps and pull tabs drive a person crazy when detecting. But if you don't dig them, you risk passing up rings. I remember not wanting to dig another pull tab. Dug it anyway and it was a platinum ring. Rang up just like a pull tab. Great video. I was wondering which card you use in your camera? I won a go pro hero 4 in a raffle but really have no idea about which card to get. GL & HH

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      You're telling me!! That's the crap part about it, you need to dig them to ensure you don't miss something good. Yea. I don't really have an issue with the pull tabs, it's the bottle caps that really get me. I think they are a coin and then they aren't! Grrr! Nice find with the platinum ring!! The card in my camera is an 8 gig I think. It's blue and black, can't remember the name brand. But any mini sd card will work. You can get them at Walmart for less than $15. Just make sure it has the larger sd card adaptor for your computer. It'll look like this: www.bluewaterphotostore.com/sites/default/files/Max%20Flash%20Action%2032GB%20MicroSD.jpg Just different brand. :)

    Really enjoy your down to earth videos. As a new detector its, I've been watching tons of UA-cam and noticed that every other video of someone using a sand scoop with a wooden handle equipped with the add on handle like your Raptor, has the handle facing the front and not the back. Seems like that way would give the best leverage and ease of use so I was just wondering why you prefer to have your Raptor handle face the rear? Keep diggin...

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 років тому

      Thank you! And thanks for watching! Well, I started with it in the front but I kept having a hard time dumping the sand. Someone recommended I turn it towards the back so I gave it a try. It makes it so much easier to empty it. I might do a video showing the different mounts and see which one actually works better though. Thanks for the idea. :D

      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      Thank you! Oh yea, you're probably right about that! Good thinking! Lol! Yea I know. And it's funny because while I was digging it, it never once crossed my mind not to dig it. Lol. But as soon as I got it out, I was like, damn now what? Lol! I sure am. And now that I think about it, I didn't recheck my hole. The rest of the car could have still been down there. Damn! Hahaha, yea I've wondered what happened to the sign. Maybe it got washed out to sea or it's still there under all that sand. When I go back to that island, I'll take Beaker and see if I can find the sign again. :)
