Update to My Vire Sabers Build Your Own Hilt

- Imagine one of those insane build montages like from the A-Team or something. Well, working on this hilt in spurts hasn't exactly been like that but you can imagine it was. ;-)
I wanted to post an update to the parts build that I've been working on. This is all parts from Vire Sabers which you don't really need any tools outside of an Allen Key/Wrench and maybe a small Phillips head screwdriver. Unless, of course, you're me. Then you also will need a bench grinder, dremmel with multiple heads, several kinds of sandpaper and files, an old school vise, rubber mallet, gallons of coffee and several different kinds of spray paint and primer. Yeah, I wanted something that looked like it had survived a war or three and took the traditional Star Wars "lived in" look to a new level of "been through Hell, came back stronger, not done yet."
This has become my favorite project out of many projects I've done and I'm happily taking my time with it. The pommel is a crowing glory for this piece as I've made a custom combination of a short emitter and existing pommel to create something new. Vire names all their parts and I've named the pommel due to it's resemblance to a certain little angry garbage can shaped murder engine and it may end up being the name of the whole hilt: the Chopper.
Next step will be adding the electronics. I haven't decided if I'm going in hilt lit or in blade lit because there are plenty of options to choose from out there. The best part is that since I'm doing all the work myself, I can also upgrade and change it whenever I like.

I've been thinking about getting that sleeve but i can't find a list of which grips it fits on. Do you know where i could find that out?
Vire doesn't exactly have a list of what does and doesn't fit but you can either look at the parts you have in mind to put it over and check their dimensions or contact Vire directly via their Facebook page or their website and ask to see the sleeve or shroud you want slid over the parts you intend to cover. They tend to be very responsive.
Did you ever get it up and running?
