  • I've built a lot of sabers now, but I realized I had yet to make a thin neck hilt. Taking inspiration from Luminaria Unduli's hilt, Luke and Obi-Wan's, and a hint of Kyle Katarn's lightsabers, I pushed my very limited shop skills quite a bit. This needed plenty of planning, measuring, drilling, and ah-hah moments. One of my favorite elements is the rose gold insert in the pommel as that needed to be cut and shaped to fit several times before it fit in and stayed exactly put. The Xeno3 core had to be cut down, the speaker placement modified. Since I decided on a specific length, I also had to drill, tap, and grind holes for the button, charger, and push rod instead of using a prefab piece. This means I've now hit the end of my spare parts pile, and I can sit back and take a break.
Place your bets on how long that lasts. 😉

I love the look of this. That emitter does it for me.

This looks awsome! I remember way back when you were making custom sonic screwdrivers that I thought were just amazing, like the rubbertoe cusotms. I miss that glass table lol So cool to see you get into custom lightsabers

Oh, I didn't make any of those sonic screwdrivers. Those were all commissioned work from other artists. The lightsabers I build are prefabricated parts that I choose and then modify. I miss that wobbly little glass table, too.

Really great job . As far as the ugly pieces , there is no ugly just age and character . Don't change anything . As I have said before "All Hail The GreatWazoo42 " . 😁
