- Surf fishing, but with the a drone? Surf fishing has not been easier! I went surf fishing over in San Luis Pass beach in Galveston, TX. I was sent a swellpro splash drone 4 from swell pro from urban drones. I decided to fly out some decent live baits out directly into san luis pass. Surf fishing with a drone was successful, much easier, and safer! Surf fishing with the drone has been amazing in galveston!

Awesome production quality. I've always wanted to put lines in deeper water while on the beach. Can you use that same presentation, but with smaller tackle (like lighter line/leader and a large spinning reel)? I'm on the East Coast and the water is much clearer, so cable is tuff to use.

Great video. drone fishing has changed shark fishing that allows anyone to hunt for these bad boys. My buddy is a shark guide on Padre Island Tx. and he never lets clients video his drown. It is illegal on beaches but not over the water.

hi love this video. ive been drone fishing off of hilton head. didnt have any luck. i noticed on the first big shark you caught it appears there is a bobber attached to the line in addition to the drag weight. is this correct and if so is it done to keep the bait off the ocean floor more in the strike range of sharks instead of bottom feeders? thx
i fished off folly beach a few months ago and got a 7 foot sand tiger off the bottom maybe 220 yards out. The bite was good early morning, but around 2-3 hours past sunrise, the bite died off.

You are right, hit or miss. So far, it has been pretty good.
I like mine I've cashed it a couple times replaced the props and it keeps on trucking.
One of those times was full speed into a chain link fence!

I'd really like to see you go through normal casting set up for sharks and drum. I've never seen any of your rigging methods and I'm curious to find out. This would be a big help because I don't get many chances to beach fish but when I do I'd like to feel confident in my rig that it will hold up.

How big was the first shark? 75ish lbs? I hate to say it but the normal shark seems to get smaller as the years pass but there’s definitely more of them being caught. I could stand to hook up to a 200+ but I don’t see much chance of that on the upper coast.
There are some BIG boys caught down at SPI. Ones with stripes and ones with strange heads....:)

what leader are you using? I have never seen one with that large ball on it.
Leader is a pat rig from terra firma tackle. It has a float so it suspends the bait off the bottom so lil sharks and trash fish dont mess with it.

When I was 18, we stopped at Galveston Beach on our way to Mexico and I rented a boogie board. I started paddling out to get some bigger waves and something rammed my thigh with a _lot_ of power. Of course I did exactly what you're NOT supposed to do, which is start kicking and thrashing trying to get turned around and when I was finally facing the shore, my heart sank. I had somehow managed to get between an 1/8 and a 1/4 mile out. I got to shore as fast as I could. That was the first and last time I ever swam in the ocean! A life guard told me, "you probably got tasted by a lemon shark. That's the only kind out there." I don't know if he was lying or ignorant, but since I've learned there are more than just lemons near Galveston Beach!

Yes, that float keeps the bait off the bottom. I use it because it prevents the bait from being messed with by unwanted species.
How far from the sinker you set your float on the rig?
