Maestro had it all - image, style, beats, lyrics, and flow. It's a shame that he couldn't cross over into the US and make it huge, but back in those days you pretty much had to be from either NY or LA to make it big in rap. Regardless, this track is awesome, and totally makes me nostalgic.
The greatest Canadian rapper, they don't come like Maestro anymore, his rhymes were dope, big up to him and glad he go his name etched in stone in Scarborough Civic Centre where he was honoured. He is now doing movies. He was the first huge rapper in Canada and he did not sing about degrading women. Rap has gone to the dogs now.
Classic rap. Brings back memories, I was like 11 when this came out, my all time favs. It was also the time when the turtles movie came out with MC Hammer song "This is what we do".
I was watching In Living Color on B.E.T. and the Fly Girls were dancing to it going to commercial and I had to hear it. I knew UA-cam had it somewhere. Thanks for posting. Great Post...
Jeez, I hate that this guy didn't blow up much bigger. So awesome. Anyone have the original 12" versions? Would love to remake and remix one of these and play it in the clubs.
Scarborough rap and the real deal, Kensington, Jane Finch Flemington Park all busted out for this. 5* made young mc look like an amature at Van show LOL!
this was a kickass old school song, pure classic. Another banging tune by him and a whole bunch of canadian rappers is Still Too Much remix with ghetto concept, check it out
One of my co-workers dances in this video. She's the one wearing the ripped up jeans, dancing on the stairs. I was 10 when this song came out, but I remember it well (and the lame dance moves I busted out when I heard it on the radio).
I agree with you jbird46 he does not have woman prancing around in mini skirts where u gonna see everything. i think he has to be the greatest rapper of all time

Turning up the volume and bass, to the max, is mandatory for full effect.
