on LS engines it's a good idea to replace oil pump pick up tube o ring also as they can cause trouble and even a tsb about them,

Wouldn't it have been easier to re-tap the hole and install a larger Oil Plug...
ps: you can find a decent used parts washer on Craigslist for $40 to $60, all day long...

@Hector Cortez-aponte-cabrera A bro this process the same for a 2004 chevy silverado 1500 2wd? I asked a mechanic he said he had to take out the motor lol. Then went with another one and he said no. But looking at this video it seems easy. So is it the same process for a 2004 chevy silverado 1500 2wd?

Couple of things... A number of years ago I switched over to vacuum extraction for oil changes in all my family's vehicles. The time and effort I save from messing with jack stands and such it *huge*. Once every other year or so, all the vehicles are up on jack stands for other critical maintenance so that's when the oil filters get changed and a complete pan drain is performed.
But, my 1993 C1500 oil pan has anti-slosh baffles which would want to play havoc with the insertion and removal of the vacuum extraction down-through-dipstick tube. I removed the oil pan, cut a small part of the anti-slosh baffle, and welded in some shielding to guaranty the pickup tube gets to the bottom of the pan with no hang-ups upon removal.
Seriously, vacuum extraction is the way to go if DIY servicing two or more vehicles in the personal fleet.
Secondly, I put up a video this past Winter of how I convert discarded dishwashing machine tubs into big parts washer basins and/or monster oil/transmission drain pans. One viewer pointed out using old furnace filters over the drain pan puts and end to splashing.

Re-read the original comment again. Or, fully for the first time in its entirety. Pay particularly close attention to the end of paragraph one.
And in three or four decades of actual practical DIY vehicle maintenance, you'll be doing it too just for the time, effort, and energy savings.

I used blue rtv and started it up immediately after I was done. The only thing I can think of is that the rtv didn’t have enough time to set up. I’m not sure. Sucks doing something twice

home boy forgot the oil level sensor oring. would've been cheaper and easier for a cheap ass customer that wanted to reuse oil to drill and retap. but then again you make no money. Should've done the oil pump while you had it off also extra hour of work.
