After knowing more about Beth I see why she is messed up. Also, it is true that she was abused by everyone around her and no one gave her birth control or helped her. She is a victim. And Adam getting pissed at her may be a reason that Beth did not want him. Because "it was the right thing to do" meant when it was no longer the case he may leave. I know he loved her but Beth probably hated how slut shamed she was and how Adam faced nothing. And then if she married Adam it would be him being "benevolent" and not being responsible. In canada, you can take a law class in grade 11 and/or grade 12 after our Civics class in grade 10 IF you want to. Its an optional class. I took it in grade 11 for funsies and an easy A and my teacher was suspicious at how well i knew the content of the course 😅
