- I wanted a LED tube that was cable free with wireless DMX, pixel mappable sections, and battery operated. But I also didn't want to spend $4000+ on Chauvet Well STX or Astera AX1 tubes. So I took a risk and bought this LED tube from Alibaba. Let me share my findings with you.

The astera are so nice. I have 6 and love them. The other thing is service. Astera has service centers all over the U.S.. The app is also easy to use. Nice review of the off brand lights.

to fix the problem with the component getting loose and disconnected do this, open it and find every connection that gets loose take a hot glue gun and glue them that should fix the problem just be careful not to get glue in the contacts

Very good review and great points about the reasons that you purchase from a repeatable manufacturer.
In essence these expensive tubes aren't just LEDs in a tube, they are 16bit LED engines capable of wireless DMX on fast step protocols (like W-DMX).
Whereas the tubes from Alibaba are cheap 8bit LED engines with slow wireless DMX protocols that will skip steps when using them like strobes.

Solid review! Have you looked into the nanlites at all? Specifically Nanlite PavoTube II 30X 4'.
Yes I have! I may make a video in the future, but I found their mounting accessories to be best in the game. The battery life was a little lacking for a 6-8 hour mobile DJ gig. Also I don't think it has wireless DMX, or individually mappable sections. Which may or may not be ok for your scenario
You were able to balance the negative aspects of this light tube with its more positive qualities. Good job. Based on your review, I'd not buy these.

Are you ok sharing who the company in China 🇨🇳 was. By any chance, was it the manufacture MOKA SFX? I have bought other light fixtures from them and I’m considering some sticks.

Their price is attractive, even cheaper than the Alibaba lights. I just asked a DJ who owned them and he said they were junk
How does both lighting tubes compare?
They're much better. They've been even more reliable than my well stx 180
