Thanks, Joe! These are legit. We own a case and I've been super impressed. We have Astera and Ape Labs too and these have fit in perfectly for our teams who are just getting going and smaller crowds/ budgets. Nice work!
Hey Daryl, I have tried these direct from the manufacture. Although they aren't super bright and don't have DMX, I think they are still great lights for the price. The remote works great on them and they've been reliable so far. Perfect for plug and play DJ's that don't wanna mess with DMX.
@@cgentertainment2370 glad to hear that they've been working for you so far! It's true, many DJs aren't interested in DMX and these might be appealing to them!
Thanks brother, have been making some considerations of adding tubes to both of my mobile rig set ups. So greatly appreciate the insight into a budget friendly solution.
Thanks Joe! How is the sound reactivity? Nothing really seems great, but I've noticed a difference between my Chauvet lights on sound reactive mode vs my Ape Coins (the Ape seem to do a lot better)
Does these tube sync together or do you have to go and use the remote individually on them? When they are in a program does the tube automatically sync so every tube is showing the exact same program? thanks in advance
I got two cases of these but I’ve had some pretty bad customer service from Rod Baker! I reached out to him and he has yet to respond via Instagram. I honestly wanted to return these because they were not as bright as I expected. Kind of annoyed I bought these.

That's good to hear!
Astera hot rn lol, majorly appreciate you being a real one Joe, a man for the people
Ordered a set last week. Arriving later today! Stoked.
How’d they work out for you?
No complaints at all. My market doesn't have clients asking for tube lights yet, but they look good. @@jasonandreasen738
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 just ordered them before the video ended!!!! What a look for a much better price point! Thanks my dude!
They are cool for sure. The only down side for me is that they are not DMX controllable. But at that price, I might pick up a set for my studio!!
are any of these wireless tubes DMX controllable?
@@djjs7390 Ape labs Ape tubes are if you buy their dmx box called Connect. I use them with soundswitch
Astera.
Same with the Chauvet Pro WELL STX. But they are about the same price as the Astera.
@@djjs7390 Both lighting just released their own pixel tubes - $1700 for 8 and fully Wireless DMX compatible.
I've been eyeing these for the last few months! I am planning on ordering them in the next few weeks 😍
Thanks for the review! I thought about reselling these, but the lack of DMX control and mixed reviews on reliability was what stopped me

Always get what you pay for. Are they astera? Nope. But for $90 each, they're perfect.
@@cgentertainment2370 that's my exact concern. Would wash FX wash lights be too much for these to cut through?
Thanks brother, have been making some considerations of adding tubes to both of my mobile rig set ups. So greatly appreciate the insight into a budget friendly solution.
No problem 👍
I have a set of these exact ones and they’ve been AMAZING!
Do they have « sound active » modes? And do they sync up to each other or do they all do their own thing?
Sound active button on remote. Sync up to each other.
I wanted to snap two in half just because I could afford it. 😂 - Aaron
Thanks Joe. I just ordered them!
Wish you would have done a side by side with Astera at least to compare the brightness. Maybe in another video?
for sure
Always measure length from underneath!
Are they 360? Your videos are priceless!
Yeah, I think so. I gave them all to my DJs.
Freaking amazing! Joe you rock man..
Thanks Joe. I think I’ll get a box of these tubes
Thanks
Ordered some just now, Thanks
Great!
Are these lights in Sound Switch? I'd love to see a video with Sound Switch
Absolutely not. They have only remote control. Hence the price point.
Are these noise activated at all? Meaning will they pulse to music?
100% yes, sorry I didn't say that.
That is incredible. holy crap
Would be good for some of your guys.
Has anyone done a comparison between the Glotubes and the JMAZ Galaxy Tubes?
I haven't done that video yet.
Thanks Joe! How is the sound reactivity? Nothing really seems great, but I've noticed a difference between my Chauvet lights on sound reactive mode vs my Ape Coins (the Ape seem to do a lot better)
Really nice sound active mode on the remote!
And what about the battery life? Best regards from Portugal!!
I went over it in the video.
Hey Joe - I picked up the JMAZ version (Galaxy Tube), they last 6 hrs or more, about the same price for 6. Zipper case, and charger included.
Def don't look like the glotubes. I don't love the dots.
@@DJJoeBunn Could you be referring to the Chauvet ones? They are "dots" but not the JMAZ Galaxy Tubes

@@patricknolan2302 Oh yeah, I had these too. They're nice.
Do they have « sound active » modes? And do they sync up to each other or do they all do their own thing?
Sound active yes. Sync yes.
Is there a way to control them without the remote? DMX?
Negative.
Are they sound active?
I second this question. That would be the biggest selling point for me.
@Continuum DJs I totally agree. Let's hope we get a reply.
Yes, and tons of modes on the remote.
@@DJJoeBunn I’m sold then. Thanks for putting this out.
Nice stuff, at a great price!
Forgive me if you answered it, I might have missed it, but do you know how many watts they are? In terms of output?
I actually don't know. Can you message them on their site? He is a good dude.
Does these tube sync together or do you have to go and use the remote individually on them? When they are in a program does the tube automatically sync so every tube is showing the exact same program? thanks in advance
You can get them all doing the same thing. For questions like this, I would go to their site and hit them up.
Joe have you looked at the new tube lights from Both lighting?
Just photos. From what I see, they're these.
great review!
Thank you! Cheers!
I want to buy a set but your guy at glotubes isn't responding to emails regarding the magnet clip 😢
I reached out. He said he would hit you up. I still don't think he has the magnets!
But is there an app?
no
What’s the specs?
Like watts? And RGB? or RGBW?
Might wanna try and contact glotubes.com on those
Dura ilitu? What if one gets knocked over at a gig?
Shit happens.
How are they any different from JMAZ Galaxy Tubes?
Not sure.
Being you can't DMX these, are they at least sound active mode?
Yup, sure are!
Are these dmx capable?
nope.
What size connector would I need to put on mic stands?
I can't recall exactly the spec on it.
Nice - If they had DMX they would sell like Hotcakes 🥞
And be 5x - 10x the price. They're selling like hotcakes anyway!
Has anyone found white stands to put these on and/or white legs?
I have something saucy coming from Bunn Gear...
@@DJJoeBunn Hey Joe, just checking if you have any update on white stands for the Glotubes. Thanks!
@@akadlj I wonder if the both lighting ones will work?
U rock
No DMX, what's the point recommending for mobile DJs?
They are rental products at best.
I was expecting him to open that case and a nice new AR was in it and not lights.
Shame can't get these in UK
Sweeeeetttt
I going to guess these Astera knock offs are from China. They look like toothpicks next to Asteras
Much skinnier and plastic, hence $550 for 6 vs. 1 AX1
Definitely not 8 inches 😂
