I've discovered this podcast when I saw that clip about Malaysian who can't speak BM on FB feed and decided to watch it from beginning to the end. I've enjoyed it. Thanks for the laughs guys. 👍
I’ve gotta say you are all rocking this podcast bro. Love how Murty dominated the talk, bet you guys got a good bait. Everyone has their own shit to talk about. Anyway, would love if Vishfro could talk a lot like the rest as well
Murty is right and wrong about therapy. Yes you shouldn't go to therapy without a serious issue. And honestly I respect Murty, because regardless of what he's been through he didnt go for therapy. I would've just been weeping at the fact that my mobility issues affect my entire lifestyle including my hobbies. I went for therapy before, But it was due to a recommendation by my epileptologist. Stress was directly related to my epilepsy, and I went to therapy to address it over his word, as no meds were working at that time. (not all epilepsy is photosensitive, I just have a hyper reactive brain) Since therapy for a year, im literally seizure free. I owe 50% of it to my therapist. My therapist once said 'Im not here to give you an answer as the answer and solution to your issues are inside you and you may have other things that could be clouding your vision of those answers. Im only here to guide you' as a skepticist towards therapy that phrase put me in the right mindset to help myself accept her help. And yes, being told to deal with the consequences I didnt choose, helped. Being told how to react when Im feeling anxious helped. Being told how to deal with stress and not be such a perfectionist not only helped my mental health in relation to stress, but also taught me how to not be a perfectionist in everything. TLDR I stopped taking everything so seriously and she helped me move on, not just from my diagnosis but all other stress factors in my life affecting the results of my diagnosis. Would I recommend anyone for therapy? Its subjective. Some people that have serious issues, go. Some people that doesn't like opening up to friends and family and holding back emotions and struggles, go. These can be people that are like taking care of their old people and cant get a break for themselves for example. Would I recommend kids under 20 go??? HELL NAH!! Youre a kid, u shouldn't be spoon fed telling u your problems are valid. If they grow up that way, they're gonna be traumatised at what the world is actually like. Deal with it kid, fight your bullies if you have to. Remember always repent, never join.
Actually therapy/counseling session is not just about therapist listening to problems. Therapists do help in guiding clients to look for a better solution themselves. And there are rules and etiquettes that counselors need to follow. It's not wrong to disagree with the idea of therapy/counseling, but just at least get your facts right guys hahah 😂
