My wife and I just started watching Andor....and thought episode 1 was REALLY slow. I kept reading and hearing it's a good show, so we're hoping for it to pick up.
You definitely haven't failed. And playing for enjoyment rather than chasing the 100% aspect is definitely a change of pace and let's me enjoy the game more. Took k2 to r9. Cassian omicron is dope for the new tb. Got bohdi to r7. It's less stressful, just doing and gearing what sounds fun even if it's not a gl or something tied to one. Just got ISC to r7, Doing saxon next. Platoons and ship, but also crossing fingers on a darksaber Mando leader gl for s3
Hi, TB officer here slowly going insane trying to plan ahead for the guild and tackling R8's for operations or CM's since the guild farmed up all our R7's in just under 2 months. Going from LS and DS Geo being on basically auto pilot to this has been a crazy last month, a lot of fun but boy is it a 180 on planning and investment. Glad to see Rogue Actions still going on, like the new aspect with more focus on general star wars content and not just SWGOH.
Grid you failed this content. NOT! lol glad to hear your pop is still alive & kicking. My pop suffers from diabetes and it's now starting to affect his life leading to his recent retirement and my own consideration of helping him with basic aspects of life. So just know you're not alone. Looking forward to all the new Rouge Actions with Hynesy. Congrats on the gig.

It is an aweful position to be in and even the treatments are a hugh impact on the person and their family. ❤

Hey griden, dont ever feel like a failure to taking up a caretaker role or for going casual. swgoh gac matchmaking has been horrendus, pushing players towards pve content for a while. and i recently moved back in with my own folks to help my dad after he fell off the ladder gutter cleaning. nothing is permanent, and your going to treasure the time with the folks before moving onto your next gig. just be sure to take care of yourself mentally and physically while taking care of others! super important.
Great to gave a casual players view - so often content creators say things like "you need to refresh all energyies 3 tines a day" and "you need to be aiming for red conquest create to make your life easier", who really has time for all that. (obviously great if you do and want to).
You did not fail you did an amazing job and now you. Need to take a step back to 1 be with family and that is very important and 2 you are moving up in your career and that is also important if you have time to hang out in a video or live stream that is extra! Don’t beat yourself up.
Grid definitely did not fail by any means. I’ve had family recently diagnosed with cancer and can say it definitely takes a lot of time and effort to fight through and takes so much from other parts of life. Keep ya chin up grid and may the force be with you mate 👍
Feel your pain on the parent situation, my father had lung cancer last year and now he has to get checked for a mass on his pancreas, and that would be terminal for him. So I completely understand your situation! Still love whatever content you make
Platoons just make no sense from a game design perspective, you are forced to actively not play the game with certain characters. There are better ways to put a relic/power gate in place.

The issue with Conquest is that they decided to make it the way they release Legendary-level characters. They want those characters to be semi-exclusive/difficult to get. That means having to make Conquest stupid./difficult/time consuming/a grind. Meanwhile, lesser, marquee-level characters are still getting their own, rarer, exclusive events. This seems totally backwards to me - legendary-level characters should not be released so often, and they should have their own events (and CG has obviously realized this, too, since we have started to get legendary events again -Starkiller and Aphra). So, how should CG fix it? Release a new, marquee-level character every month via Conquest. This would give us a steady release cadence, and they could return Conquest to the fun, easy event it used to be because everyone would be expected to get the new character. You could differentiate the levels by making them a 2 star release for easy, 3 stars for medium, and 4 stars for hard. Those characters would then become farmable a few months later. Then every 6 months, release a new Legendary-level character who requires some of the recent Conquest-marquees at relic. This would give the legendary-level characters the semi-exclusivity CG wants them to have, and the attention-grabbing event that characters of that level deserve. Their events would come back every 3-4 months, before the character eventually goes into the Journey Guide. As a bonus, this would eliminate the need for the stupid Proving Grounds, too.
What Andor also reveals is why the new Republic failed so hard so fast. The Rebel Alliance was such a disparate group with so many different goals, aspirations, and visions that they couldn't come together once their common enemy was gone.
