John, I started watching your videos when you had about 150 to 175 of them on UA-cam. Your 200th is one of my favorites, fishing that tiny creek and catching so many colorful species in such shallow water. The one where you came out of the Mexican restaurant and fished in the ditch that ran through the parking lot, catching very respectable bass and sunfish - amazing. I’m dying to fish some of those creeks. Here in eastern North Carolina, our creeks lack the rocky bottoms that keep the water filtered and clear. Also, our soil is mostly red clay and sand, and so our creeks are always muddy, particularly after it rains. They often look like someone poured chocolate milk into a cup of coffee.
I hope you have nothing but success, and I hope you never lose your love of creek fishing. Also, keep spreading the Word.

That redbreast was HUGE!! And world record Rock Bass! There has to be something in that spot that helps make those creek fish so big. That spotted bass was incredible.

Those fish in that last spot were really nice.!! It's Fall already up here in the Northern states. We have a yard full of leaves already. Hubby says he's waiting for a big wind to blow most of them down the street before he's even going to get the rakes out of the shed. Won't be long until it's time to put the fishing gear in there and break out the shovels and snow blower. We gave up I've fishing a few years back. Getting too old and full of arthritis to stay out on the ice, but it sure is fun to catch them through the ice. Thanks for another great video. Happy fishing 😄 🐟🐠🎣

I had a Zebco trigger reel on a 4ft ugly stick. It makes a great combo for creek fishing and fits perfectly under the back seat of my truck! Great video once again!

I've caught cats unexpectedly with a wax worm on a jig..fishing for gills. Keep the great times coming.
Bits of fresh chicken liver do quite well on the Snake and Columbia River systems.
Channel cats LOVE wax worms! There was one park I used to fish for channels, and waxies were the only bait I used.

Aggressive creek spots are probably my favorite to catch. Always so colored up, always grouchy. Hard to beat

That redbreast was a nice catch esp on spinnerbait. I caught a 8" green sunfish on a rebel pop r yesterday. Couldn't believe it.

This was an awesome video! Those rock bass and that spotted bass were insane! I used to snorkel and catch hogsuckers with a net. Super cool fish!!
Something we used to do in middle Tn. as kids was snorkel the rock edges with dip nets and catch fish :P

Those two rock bass were great, I know everyone loves crappie but for me rock bass are the best eating fish in any creek or small river or clear pond or lake. I have caught a few close to that size out of a clear pond where the guy had electric lights down at the water level to attract bugs to the water at night, the pond was spring fed. They fight like a fish twice their size.

John great video. That black Lewis rod is real cool. I have an old Shakespear rod real similar to that. It’s about 25 years old and really cool to use never a tangle with the line.

I caught a channel catfish (about 5lbs) on a "jitterbug" topwater
(frog pattern/white on belly)

I enjoy all your videos this was a neat one I've caught quite a few catfish on lures over the years never a trout magnet but top water bass plugs at night walleye fishing and bass fishing I've caught some 5 to 15 pounders over the years mostly in the spring when they're chasing shad schools

I fish with trout magnets all the time but have never had a catfish bite on one! That's awesome! I have had carp and koi bite on the trout magnet though.

One more week till bow season here in Texas..... now after watching you during the off season I’ll have to take my pole with me and check out some of the small rivers and ponds.
I caught a 34" channel cat on a crappie magnet. Black and yellow split tail tube bait. It was awesome.

Out there at dry branch is excellent crappie fishing starting about March my best luck has been on Bobby Garland I think its ice blue baby shad on a roadrunner leadhead probably 15 inches below a float reeling in slowly
