one thing you didn't mention I think is the power output of the vehicle.. does it feel less zippy with the new software. also is it only on the ECU that the software was applied?

@@theBaldChery thank you for responding. Vehicle is pearl white. Orange stains over left back door from top of window and seeping trails inside boot lid. Prof bodywork specialists couldn't get it to budge even with sanding. Under clear coat. Dealership purchased from is not assisting. It's been over a month since reporting it 3 days after taking delivery. Looking for a top tier contact to make the warranty repair happen through CherySA. I'm embarrassed by what it looks like. Spending 400k on a vehicle has been a horrid experience :,(
What was spilt on it? I saw something like this when I borrowed a T8 MAX from CHERYSA head office. That turned out to be water from a dripping pipe that had corroded away. What does the dealer say?
@@theBaldChery nothing spilled on it for the 3 days I had it! It was parked safely. After some rain it came through faintly and it has just gotten darker. "industrial fallout" is a word going around and that coz it's below clear gloss it didn't happen over the weekend I had it. The original dealership / salesperson pawned me off to another branch but still no luck in a way forward. The approved Chery bodywork specialist says a respray is only option. I'm just trying to get CherySA to approve the warranty claim
Hi, i enjoy your videos, basic but informative. This software update has it changed the cars performance? Are you running in economy mode or sport mode, I know you favour sport mode? Has Chery indicated how the upgrade will be handled i e. 10,000 tigo owners descending on the service centers?
Thanks. I try to give the most important info that is relevant. The performance hasn't changed at all, it's still the same power and still very punchy in SPORTS MODE. I know it'll be sent to all the dealers and I have a feeling they might ask people to make an appointment so they don't have that exact reason of everyone pitching up at the dealer to update it.
For now it is not available to the public. We still in the phase of a few people testing. I'm doing a 4 part test for CHERYSA, we currently at 3 of 4. Hopefully within the next month or so it'll be sent to all the dealers in South Africa.
When yo driving long distance this week, please let us know at what speeds you were cruising on the highways. I drive around 160kmh on the freeways, so everyone is different
SPORTS MODE gives you better fuel consumption than ECO MODE, especially around town. Using SHELL95 and making sure the tyres are correctly pumped is some of the most important part.
If you sit at 150kph for 150km, it'll actually give a decent return as it's constant. I've done something similar from Heidelberg to Pretoria, which was about a 98km drive and still got about 12.5km/L. If you are on the FB CHERY group, I actually posted some pics of my driving from yesterday. You can see the top speed of 168kph, and it was from Alberton down the N3 to the edge of Tembisa, so only about 30km but lots of robots that were out.

I mentioned it in the first vid. There is no loss of power, the car's power is the same but the CVT feels a little different.

Yip. Hopefully the software will be sent out soon, but yes it'll be sent nation wide.

Hi ,I have a tiggo pro 7 for a year only drive over the weekend doing 8500km ,I try to coast were ever I can and only get like 350km

I try to stick to the speed limit as I already get too many fines because of the amount of driving I do. One yr I paid over R6000 in fines.
With the update does eco mode still give the best consumption
